Disappointing Purchasing a car is a challenging process and in order to prep for our car purchase. My husband and I spent a great deal of time researching the car w Purchasing a car is a challenging process and in order to prep for our car purchase. My husband and I spent a great deal of time researching the car we wanted, the price point we felt comfortable with and who we wanted to organize our financing. Going into our purchase date, we knew we wanted a pre-owned certified 2014 or 2015 Chevrolet Traverse. We also walked into the dealership with a prequalified loan from Capital One. We went to New Rochelle Chevrolet because they are a partner of Capital One and received fair reviews across multiple sites. However, our experience was less than favorable. Positives: 1. They have a play area for children along with water and coffee. This was extremely helpful as the process of buying the car took six hours and our son was able to play the entire time. 2. During the initial test drive and decision-making process, Joel was a friendly, competent and helpful sales agent. He didn't stress our decision to purchase the car and answered all our questions regarding the car. He also listed all potential financial responsibilities on our part which helped us make our decision to purchase. Negatives 1. After we initiated the purchasing process, we handed our Capital One approval letter over so that the finance person can finalize our approval. We made it extremely clear that we only wanted to finance with Capital One. However, within 10 minutes I received four alerts from my credit monitoring system. The finance staff took it upon himself to run our credit an additional three times without our knowledge. When we approached them about this issue, they stated they wanted to find us a better interest rate but again, at no point did we authorize this. We knew how we wanted to approach our financing. They apologized but offered no support to work with our credit reporting agencies to have these removed. 2. The entire process took six hours! On a Saturday, they only had one person who managed the closing of our contract. We just sat for hours waiting in line to be able to see him. I am 7 months pregnant and aside from water they didn't offer anything. Instead, our sales agent disappeared and the GM didn't come to apologize for the delay. 3. The car has a cracked headlight, which we were told would get repaired the following Wednesday. It is now 10 days later and they still haven't managed to schedule us in for a repair. Every time we reach out, we get a constant run around that there are no loaner cars available and that they will get back to me soon but again we don't hear from anyone. Now that the car has been purchased, they show no urgency to have us receive quality service. I would encourage any individuals looking to make a purchase at this dealership to be extremely diligent about their expectations. Even though I thought we were, yet we still had some experiences that made us quite upset. More

WARNING..Shady scammers and liars....DONT BUY YOUR CAR HERE! This was my first time financing a vehicle through a dealership. I financed a used 2012 Mercedes Benz E-350 with and estimated mileage of 58,000 value This was my first time financing a vehicle through a dealership. I financed a used 2012 Mercedes Benz E-350 with and estimated mileage of 58,000 valued at a fair market value of $20,000. New Rochelle Chevrolet had the vehicle priced online at 23,000. So, they automatically profited an extra 3,000.00 from us. We went to look at the vehicle on or around May 30th, 2016. We didn’t test drive it however, we did thoroughly inspect the vehicle and we realized that the back passenger door couldn’t open and the back seatbelt wasn’t working. My husband also noticed that the tires weren’t in good condition in addition to the other two major issues but we were assured that all matters would be taken care of so I proceeded to apply for financing. I charged my downpayment to a credit card because our salesman Shane Williams stated that I needed some form of down payment due to my credit score range to guarantee approval. I found out about my approval status that same evening. I was prepared to finalize the deal with the finance department the following day. I sat down to sign paperwork, we were told that we needed the Gap insurance by the financing department rep at the time of sale. I signed the paperwork (assuming the information he presented to me was true). I was given a stack of paperwork to sign at once, the financing rep conveniently failed to mention the service contract with Fidelity. He even took the initiative to sign us up for a higher service package costing me and additional 3,5000.00 added to my loan with Wells Fargo. I was handed the keys that same day. We were told the car still hadn’t been fixed as promised but we could make an appointment to bring the car back the following day and in addition to that we were told that we could get a rental to accommodate us while our car was being serviced. The following day turned into weeks. We had to call countless times. The car wasn’t serviced until the end of June 2016. When they were finally able to accommodate us the service manager informed us that he knew nothing about the tires being replaced. He was only willing to fix the door and seatbelt. I took a look at the contract I signed with New Rochelle Chevrolet. The Mercedes warranty had recently ended and we could not afford to pay out of pocket for a safety issue that should have been taken care of before we acquired the vehicle. I assumed my car loan was so high because of my credit and financing charges but 23,000 shouldn’t have cost me 28,000.00 even after a down payment. I immediately googled Fidelity and told them that I wanted nothing to do with a service contract nor did I have a need for it, plus it was financed into my loan without me clearly understanding or noticing it. Fidelity agreed to suspend my contract immediately. I was told that they would be issuing the full refund in the amount of 3,500.00 directly to New Rochelle. New Rochelle Chevrolet called me and they were highly upset because I went directly to Fidelity. We set a date for me to come in to sign the Gap Insurance cancellation and Fidelity cancellation agreement on Friday December 2nd 2016. I arrived after work the following day as discussed. It’s a 200-mile round trip. I met with Felipe. He expressed that New Rochelle Chevrolet had a problem issuing me my money. Felipe also informed me that New Rochelle Chevrolet made a claim to Fidelity on my behalf and charged them for fixing the seat belt and door. (however, this is 1/6/2017 and the seatbelt is still broken) When I spoke to Fidelity they never mentioned anything about a claim being filed by New Rochelle Chevrolet for the repairs that they were responsible for making at their expense. Fidelity agreed to the full amount of the refund with no problems however New Rochelle fraudulently claimed to have billed Fidelity for repairs on a claim that doesn’t exist. I had no choice but to refuse the pennies they were willing to give me. I walked out of the meeting and wrote a negative review the following day about my horrible experience with New Rochelle Chevrolet. The following day my husband received a call from Shane Williams and Felipe requesting for us to take the negative review down. New Rochelle agreed to allow me to sign the cancellation paperwork again and to give me my refund. (Fortunately, My husband recorded the entire conversation) As requested, I took down the review and my husband called them to set up a time frame for us to come in. Unfortunately, New Rochelle gave us the run around for weeks again so I decided to submit a certified letter on December 23, 2016, as a final attempt to resolve the matter but they continued to ignore me. I called the following day after Christmas and my husband called. We asked if they could call us back (only to be given the run around from Lisa, claiming they were short staffed and far too busy to speak with me, she took down my number and no one ever returned my call) I did a follow-up visit on December 30th, 2016. They gave us the run around as usual. We were told that they were busy with new customers and Shane Williams told us to come back. I had had enough and I told them to send me the paperwork certified in the mail to sign. Shane Williams confirmed that they would be sending me my cancellation paperwork by Tuesday or Wednesday the following week. Today is Friday and still no response. I called again and still no response . I will keep you updated on the outcome. I meet with an attorney tomorrow on 1/7/2017 and I have contacted the attorney general, the FTC and the BBB.org, If you have experienced issues like mine I would love to get a class action suit going against New Rochelle Cheverlot. I told her I was curious about checking out a Chevy and reached out to this dealership. I spoke with Jessica De La Rosa and she was very courteous. I told her what car I was looking for and she had setup an appointment with me. I got there and was greeted by her at the front desk. She tried to do what she could and respectfully gave us a chance to think about it. If I didn't get the deal I got at the other place I would've definitely came back and worked with her again, thanks! More

She enthusiastically encouraged me to drive the Camaro and made several models available for my evaluation. She imposed no restrictions upon distance or route and was a font of accurate information about each car I drove. In the manner of an excellent salesperson she did not impugn competing products but promoted the virtues of the product she was selling. How refreshing! At the end of the session Mrs. De La Rosa asked my opinion of the car (very favourable), took some information and asked permission to contact me in the near future. She did not detain me longer than necessary and she thanked me for considering a Chevrolet for my next purchase. I found my interaction with Mrs De LaRosa not just pleasant but elevating. Please visit her for your next new or used Chevrolet purchase. More
