Does Not Follow ToyotaCare/ToyoGuard Maintenance Schedule First I want to say this has nothing to do with the quality of the service work done. My issue is with their disregard for the Toyota Warranty Mainte First I want to say this has nothing to do with the quality of the service work done. My issue is with their disregard for the Toyota Warranty Maintenance Schedule. I took my truck in to them because of a trim issue with 1309 miles on it. The trim piece was ordered BUT Katelynn the service advisor also had a 5000 mile service done prematurely! I asked to speak to a supervisor about taking one of my services prematurely when I took the truck in to get the trim installed. She came back with a gentleman and I expressed my concern. I was told to just being the truck in again when the rotation light came on and it would be done at no charge. I failed to remember his name which may have been important today when I had the truck in to get the 5000 mile rotation. When I arrive at the dealer I was greeted by a service advisor names Chuck. I told him I had an appointment to get the tires rotated. When he called me when I was told that a 10K service was some on the truck with 5396 miles! When I tried to explain I brought the truck in only for the rotation and that I planned to have the oil changed in December which would be at the 1 year mark. Chuck pointed to the computer and told me he did what was due. I stated it wasn't due anything but the rotation and I told him what happened before and he kept pointing to the computer. Chuck was definitely wrong to do something to my vehicle that I did not ask for. He did not think this was the case and he reverted to lecture mode and pointed to the computer screen. I asked for the service manager and he kept trying to lecture me using the computer. After asking several time he brought in Colby. I explained to him the entire history and he seemed to back Chuck because I had the truck 9 months the right services were done. Actually 8 months and a 4 days. After further discussion Colby agreed to change the oil in December to get me back on MY schedule. Colby stated that they look at the computer and do the services so customers do not lose them. A lot of people do think you just put gas in and drive and nothing else needs to be done but I am one who always does scheduled maintenance. This morning's incident could have been avoided if Chuck had came to me and asked about the oil change before doing it. I will get the oil changed in December and get back on my maintenance schedule. If you are getting serviced under ToyotaCare/ToyoGuard BEWARE! They will apply services to this prematurely and you will not get you full money's worth! More
