Allow me to begin by apologizing for any frustration and disappointment he may have experienced when conducting business with our dealership. Although it is distressing to learn of his concern, we appreciate the willingness to provide us an opportunity to review this situation and respond via (DealerRater/Google), social media platforms of his selection. His 2011 SLS was seen in our Service Dept. on January 5, 2018 for a 40K service. On or around October 1, 2018 the vehicle was returned stating there was a leak, an inspection took place and it was determined there was a hairline crack in the transaxle, and it needed to be repaired. Our recommendation was declined by the consumer. On September 9, 2019 his vehicle was towed into Walnut Creek with a broken axle shaft, not related to the hairline cracked transaxle. Upon Walnut Creek’s inspection they also verified a crack in transaxle as he was informed in October of 2018 and that the axle now was snapped which is very severe damage. MBUS evaluated the components and did offer goodwill assistance to replace the transaxle 50% off the parts only. Walnut Creek also participated by discounting the labor. The last communication that MBM was in receipt of, was on February 13, 2020 indicating that he was seeking legal counsel and asked, where his Law firm could send his litigation request.
