Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. Our goal is always to communicate clearly and professionally with every customer. In this case, your visit was for a complimentary oil change. During the visit, you also requested that we determine the cause of your check engine light concern. As a courtesy, we provided the fault codes stored in the vehicle's system at no charge. However, fault codes alone do not identify the root cause of a problem. Proper diagnosis requires a trained technician to perform testing and evaluation, which is a separate service that carries a diagnostic fee. Service advisors are responsible for explaining recommendations and repair options, while technicians perform the detailed diagnostic process. Although we understand the desire to have concerns evaluated at no cost, diagnosing a vehicle issue requires technician time, specialized equipment, and expertise. We appreciate your business and regret that our explanation did not better communicate the difference between a complimentary maintenance service and a professional diagnostic service. We wish you the best with your vehicle and thank you for giving us the opportunity to assist you. This version stays professional, defends your advisor, explains why diagnostics aren't free, and avoids sounding argumentative to future customers reading the review.
