I have leased a few cars from McGrath Nissan over the last 20 years. They sent me an offer for a Free oil change & $500 of a new car purchase that I have used before at the service department for one of last 20 years. They sent me an offer for a Free oil change & $500 of a new car purchase that I have used before at the service department for one of my cars a Toyota. I called and made an appointment with the service department after it was Approved to get the oil change even though it was a Toyota. I drove 20 minutes there & was informed by Kane the Rude Service Manager that he could Not accept the coupon they sent to me. I was looking at purchasing a 2021 Nissan Maxima. NOT NOW. I would Never do business again with this dealership who has a Service Manager that is soo RUDE. A Free Oil change would have cost him maybe $20 out of pocket. Instead it cost his dealership a Few Thousand Dollars in the loss of a Vehicle sale. More

Scam on down payment Went to purchase a vehicle, I told what I had for a down payment, and not a penny more. They ok. Bought the car did the financing. A month after purchase they call and say I own them money. I never borrow money nor make payment to them. Now they say the filing a report against me! These people are scam artist!!! Anything to make a buck. Read thru all of my paperwork and not one thing in the paperwork stating I own them money for anything!!! More

I bought a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder last Oct 19, 2019, it was Saturday. I was informed that this car was just fresh from delivery though it was already posted on their website. I really liked the car but then it has a deep scratch on the right hand door, they made a deal with us that they will fix it. Since it was Saturday, their rental office is closed so they cannot provide a loaner at the moment. They told us to bring the car home and set a schedule to fix it. Oct 28 we brought the car back and then Oct 30 we picked it up. The next day I notice that the scratch is still there, it looks like they just paint it and did nothing with the scratch. What they did was very superficial. So I complained, and this GM told me that its the best they can do. I was like so if we didn’t buy the car, this is how they gonna sell it, and he said yes, from then I know that he is talking xxxx out of me. I know even the worst used car they can make it look new so it can be sell fast. I was stupid to be convinced that they will fix it, now they wanted to split the cost with us. It feels like I was rob. In the very first place that car should be fixed first before they sell it. More
Sold me a trashy car got check engine light a day after Financed a pathfinder 2014, 02-13-19 , got a check engine light 02-14-19 Took it for service on a tuesday but told me to come back because service c Financed a pathfinder 2014, 02-13-19 , got a check engine light 02-14-19 Took it for service on a tuesday but told me to come back because service closed at 4pm , here i come in on a wednsday ,they tell me to leave the truck there to be checked , the guy that was in service had already checked and said it was the fuel pump , so that is an expensive part that we dont want to pay for since we only have a 3 month warranty , according to them they will work on it throught out thursday , here i was carless asking people for a ride to get to work but no one comes my way so i had to use uber and after work my husband had to drive from his job in shorewood to saint charles then from saint charles, one guy had called my husband saying that the truck was almost ready to be picked up on thursday around 4pm, well before heading there and wasting our time he called, well someone told him that the truck wasnt ready and that the part wont be there until maybe saturday but if we wanted to we could go n pick up the truck and take back for service on saturday morning , so here we come on a thursday evening to get the truck ,took it back on a satirday morning around 9 am , i called around 1pm and Adam tells me he was just about to finish and give us a call to go pick it up so ok ,we come get our truck , drive it home and the truck its ok i guess the check engine light its not there anymore , so around 7pm we going out for dinner turned on the truck to warm up, check engine light is back on 🙄😡🤬 , we cant do anything but wait to call them till monday , so here we are again calling them letting them know , just to make short , we took the truck to be checked ,its reading about 4 codes🤬 same code that they had just fixed , the fuel pump " and worstier then that , THE TRANSMISSION!! , WAIT A MINUTE, You sell us a truck that is bad from the transmission since day one , we havent even had these truck for two weeks , we wanted our money back from the downpayment or to trade us the truck for a working car , we are not trying to spend mo ey on a transmission or stay carless withing 3 months of our warranty going out , talked to the manager Marcos , a helpless guy that told us he couldnt do anything for us because of our credit , so wait you gave us a broken truck with no credit but you cant help us to get a car that works ?? He ignored us making us feel like we're nothing, saying that they gifted us by giving us a car because with no credit no one would have given us a car, all we wanted was a working car dont you get it??? We have children and need a car to provide for a family just like you thiefs do 😡 so according to them the transmission code is because they believe since the last person that owned these truck had a remote starter stalled in somewhere else it might be the cause for these check engine light, RPM rises up so high , gasoline goes out i could be pumping $20 daily just to go from montgomery to saint charles , and all these is just because of the remote starter, so thinking these people will fix my truck they tell me to drop it off on wednsday so they can work on it on thusrday morning , here i come again to the dealership , i could see all of them laughing becuase we always go in making us feel like we're a bother, the guy from service calls me and tells me he had called nissan and was told to disable the remote starter because they think thats whats causing the check engine light and all these codes , thats my first option or either drive around with the check engine light if it doesnt bother me😂🤣 you have to be kidding me , so i said ,look im trying to figure out whats wrong with my truck , and if my only option is to disable the remote starter then go ahead and do it , i only have 3 months warranty and im pretty sure theyre just waiting on my warranty to go out that way i will have to pay out of my pocket for a garbage car that was broken since day ome, i tried getting help from everyone in these dealership and they just dont give a xxxx, so I made a Report with BBB , Hoping to get an answer soon STAY AWAY FROM MCGRATH NISSAN , By the way the guy that sold me the car by the name of Ruben told me not to go to Nissan in Saint Charles because i ghad told him how i ran an application with them before going to mcgrath nissan, he told me ,STAY AWAY FROM THEM , THEYRE BUNCH OF THIEFS, LIERS" THEY STEAL FROM PEOPLE ,I WORKED FOR THEM BEFORE AND I GOT TIRED OF THEM AND QUIT BECAUSE THEY MADE ME LIE TO PEOPLE BY SELLING THEM BROKEN CARS " THATS WHY I MOVED TO MCGRATH NISSAN!!! The worst experience ever The worst customer service ever, I have a 2017 Maxima and I went to that dealer because I moved to Elgin and I needed to fixed a windshield cover, wit The worst customer service ever, I have a 2017 Maxima and I went to that dealer because I moved to Elgin and I needed to fixed a windshield cover, without asking anything the person from the service shop accused me of breaking those covers and try to sell me those covers for $600 instead of applying the bumper to bumper guarantee. Also I ask for a problem on the breaks and he try to charge me $139 just to check what happen . NEVER EVER GOING BACK TO THAT PLACE. I’m going to continue using Nissan products and cars but going back to Gurnee Nissan More
