Friendly people to work with, however, purchasing the car (in cash) took 3 hours, which is absurdly excessive. To be fully transparent, we made an appointment to come in and complete the purchase and to be fair, we were 10 minutes late for that. Nonetheless, do not invite customers to come in and buy a car if you are going to be short-staffed, backed up, or otherwise unreasonably delayed in processing. Also, after wasting additional time explaining the over-priced warranty options, don't put a "menu" in front of me and bluntly ask, "Which one do you want?" as though I have no choice. It's insulting, especially before I am about to write a huge sum on a check and hand it over. I like your claim that customers who buy them have the highest levels of referral and repeat business. However, your best bet for my repeat and referral business is to not waste my valuable time. Get me in and out to buy the car in under 30 minutes. It can be done; I've done it before. Finally, there were several errors made in printing some of the documentation for the registration, plates, and title. By this point, there were 3 people in the business office scrambling around to get this done. Before making a "change a lightbulb" joke, at least acknowledge to the customer that you've screwed up. And please, since it is so obvious, make an offer to make it up to the customer in some way. A complimentary oil change or detail service might be a very nice token of compromise. I sincerely hope the service and repair experience is superior to the purchasing experience. From a purchasing experience standpoint, I prefer CarMax (though CarMax's service/repair experience could be much better). Short of Lexus or maybe Infiniti, is there a dealer or car company out there that makes buying *and* servicing a car a piece of cake? This business needs some love, people! More
From the time we walked in the door, we were treated with friendliness and respect. Although the process takes a long time, Mike guided us through, making the hours fly by. MY Background: I am a foreign national(Indian) who has been in this country for a while I was interested in buying an Accord and got a quote online and was asked to visit the store for further details. been in this country for a while I was interested in buying an Accord and got a quote online and was asked to visit the store for further details. We spoke with a rep over there and he said he is out of stock of the car we are looking for and said can order the car and then the online quote which was provided to us was not honored. We decided to leave as he have couple other options from other show rooms. Then this xxxxxx manager Mike comes out and he just keeps talking with out giving any chance for others to speak, He tries to trick us by saying why did u sign this paper(That paper was provided by the rep and we were asked to sign to get the prices of the cars available and the sales rep said that unless both parties agree on the price the sale wont happen and this looked like a standard process) and we said the same thing what rep said to us before signing the paper, he realizes we know what we are saying. Then the Insults begin..(This idiot thinks he is above all of us) he tires to compare and starts insulting all the foreign nationals. We just walked out This store treats its customers very badly and they are not at all friendly, rather than selling a vehicle and make customers their day they try to trick and insult you. I am not sure how Americans are treated here but Foreign nationals are treated very badly(researched about this after our incident) I hope this at least impacts one person and withdraw from going to this show room More

Mike Z gave me a great price. Mike T was very friendly and helpful. I visited and contacted several dealers, but none would match the price that I got here. Many dealers would often only want to sell the and helpful. I visited and contacted several dealers, but none would match the price that I got here. McGrath got me the color combination I wanted (which was not in their stock) in the short week that was the ThanksGiving weekend! If I had to buy a new car, I would certainly visit them again. The sales experience was great. The issue is at the business portion of the transaction. We waited 90 minutes one day after being told that we were next in line, etc. Had to come back the next day business portion of the transaction. We waited 90 minutes one day after being told that we were next in line, etc. Had to come back the next day because we ran out of time - this was an all cash sale that could have been transsacted in 20 minutes. Give your sales people real time feed back on when the business office will be able to do their paperwork. The business office is busy getting financing and selling warranties and seems to have little or no concern for the next customer. Process is severly flawed! More
I went there to purchase a CRV. My sells was great. He was friendly, nice, and not pushy at all. The sale manager on the other hand was not. He did not want to work with my wife and I. We fault like he looked down on us because we're young. He talked to use really low, and paid no attention to what we were saying. There service department was horrible. At the time we thought they were good only to find out later that they did not do things right. My heat shield start to rattle a few days after I purchase my car, so I brought it back in. They told me that they had the shield in stock and will replace it free of charge. Later to find out from another Honda dealer that there was no heat shield installed. Another issue, when I purchase the CRV it had brand new tires on. They told me that in order from them to certify the car they needed to put new tires on the car. So, they put the best available tires they had in stock on the car. After a few thousand of miles the car drove really loud, so I took it into the another Honda dealer and they told me the tires on the car were not made for the CRV. They were truck tires, and it would cost 1000 dollars to replace the brand new tires. This was my first time purchasing a car, so I know better now. More
I originally bought my new 2010 Honda Accord Coupe from this dealership back in 2010. I had such a great experience with the employees and management during my buying process. I ONLY took my car to there dealership for any maintenance that I had, there service is by far the best I have experienced and because of this I went to them recently to get my new 2013 Honda Accord Coupe EX-L V6! Again they showed exceptional customer service and even though there dealership did not have any of the new 2013 Accord Coupes in yet they managed to make a trade with another dealership and had my car for me in less than 2 days!!!! I am forever a McGrath Honda of Elgin customer and wont take my car to any other dealership! These guys are the real deal and they look out for your best interest! Thank you McGrath Honda of Elgin for my new 2013 Honda Accord Coupe EX-L V6, I LOVE IT!!!! I am a customer for life. J. Schwartz More
