McGrath doesn't take cash, credit cards, or a downpayment on used cars so this was their preferred method of payment. Based on what the manager stated, I believe that they pulled this trash move because the other party was financing (McGrath gets a little more money when someone finances), and I was paying in cash. This trash move wasted 4 hours of my time, my pregnant partner's time, the car sales rep's time, my mechanic's time, everyone standing behind me at the bank, and my insurance rep's time for a few extra dollars. The Used Car Sales Manager Frank defended his actions both over the phone and in person. The Finance Director Enis had his back in person. We all make mistakes and sometimes bad calls, but the way this was treated was business-as-usual. The casual nature more stunning than the slimeball move of selling the same car to two different people within 15 minutes. Disgusting. More
