The only reason we did not buy from Kevin was there was no vehicle in stock that matched our criteria. Rest assured we would have made a point of purchasing from him as he was knowledgeable, honest and sincere. He made our car buying experience enjoyable. Unfortunately, we found a Lexus that was a better fit for our family. We are still a Honda Family (3 Honda's) and will continue to look at Honda in the next purchase we make. We sincerely hope that when that time comes we will be able to purchase from Kevin and this Dealership. I am adding Kevin to my favorite five "referral's list"! :) . We came into the dealership to compare prices to other dealers on a new Honda Pilot and "just" look at colors. My husband and I ended up buying a new black Pilot from Jordon Brown. I went to Honda Elgin lastnight, traded my Nissan Rogue 2012 SV to a CRV 2014 and staff accomodated us nicely. I haven't had a brand new car since the 1974 Gremlin X that my Dad bought me when I was sixteen years old. Up until now, I have always bought used cars. So, when I decided to buy a new car, I took the task very seriously. I started off this summer test driving every car from every dealer on Golf and Higgins Road in Schaumburg. I kept a detailed notebook of what I liked and disliked about every car and every dealership that I visited. I narrowed it down to two cars. The Ford Focus and the Honda Civic. I settled on the Civic. After being jacked around by another dealer, my husband went on Cars.com to find more dealerships in the area. I visited five other places that week. From the moment I stepped into McGrath Honda in Elgin, I felt comfortable and at ease. Everyone that I spoke with was friendly and helpful. My Sales Consultant was Darek Smorz and the Sales Manager was Frank Mininni. They were both wonderful. Thank you, Darek for making this such a positive buying experience. You knew exactly what I wanted and you made it happen and for that I am truly grateful. I love GRACIE(the name of my new car) more and more. I look forward to many years of driving pleasure with her. Everyone was friendly. Quick response from the internet team. My sales person was very personable and nice. He worked well with us and wanted to make sure we were happy. If I have any questions or need anything, I know Anthony will help me out. I would definitely come back to McGrath...this is my 2nd car purchased there. My only complaint would be how long it took to get the car prepped and waiting to complete the financing. More
I just want to send a shot out to McGrath Honda in Elgin for a great experience I just had. Especially from salesman Jesse Fisher and service advisor C.J. Nemec. I was actually going in for an oil change fo for a great experience I just had. Especially from salesman Jesse Fisher and service advisor C.J. Nemec. I was actually going in for an oil change for my car and C.J. was able to accommodate me even though the service department was pretty booked. While waiting for my car to be done I asked Jesse if there was any great deals at the time for purchasing either a new or used car. Jesse had pointed out a used 2013 Honda Accord Touring edition that was on the lot. Went to check it out and took it out for a test drive. Jesse was very informative with the Accord and with any questions I had about it. Jesse was able to provide me a great deal on the Accord and also gave me a very great value for my trade in without any hassles. The whole process was very smooth and the whole staff was phenomenal. If anyone plans on buying a Honda I would definitely recommend McGrath Honda of Elgin and ask for salesman Jesse Fisher if you are trying to purchase a car or if any questions regarding service definitely reach out to C.J. I came in to look at a slightly used Accord - Anthony was my sales representative. He did this with no pressure and pure intentions to help find something that works for me. After test driving the used vehicle I came to see, Anthony noticed my interest in the floor room model, without pushing it on me he offered to have that vehicle readied for a test drive if i was at all interested.... I was. I ended up test driving, loving, and purchasing the floor model. Anthony was great throughout the entire process and personally made sure some additional service items that I purchased (remote start) were taken care of immediately and professionally. He has since followed up numerous times to make sure the car is everything I wanted it to be and has made himself personally available for help in any needed service items moving forward. Its rare to find such personalized service anymore and I greatly appreciated Anthony's attention to detail. More

I couldn't be more pleased with my experience at McGrath Honda in Elgin. I started out looking for a Honda Civic but ended up test driving a few around and wound up in an Accord that worked best fo McGrath Honda in Elgin. I started out looking for a Honda Civic but ended up test driving a few around and wound up in an Accord that worked best for me. Pricing on the model was competitive with other dealers in the area for a certified pre-owned car and they were able to move the price a little to close the deal. I worked with Anthony both days I was there. Anthony was honest, asked the right questions, took notes regarding what I was looking for and was generally very attentive to what I was looking for in a car. I didn't feel pressured like I have at other higher volume dealers in the area that I've been to and the experience was in no way stressful. Anthony worked with me through all the details of the three cars I test drove and asked me some great questions about what I was looking for that helped me make the final call. The financing experience went smoothly. I would caution to pay attention during the experience because they do offer a "McGrath Experience" package that turns out to be quite expensive. It's a pretty comprehensive service and may be worth it for a newer higher-priced, but it ends up costing $6k or so additional - way unnecessary for the used car buyer IMO. After the financing was complete, they took the car through a final inspection. The service department was packed and Anthony and I were somewhat concerned that I wasn't going to get to drive off that day. I stuck around for an hour or so while they did the final inspection until the service department was finished . During this time, Anthony offered to: 1) find something for me to eat - I had an early lunch (he delivered on this), 2) get me a loaner car if for some reason the service wasn't completed and... 3) offer me up his own car (this is no joke) as a loaner because it was similar to the car I was purchasing. That sounds like a sales thing but the deal was already signed and done - this qualifies as way above and beyond for me. Fortunately, the car was finished before the dealership closed - no loaners necessary! If you're going to McGrath in Elgin, you need to ask for Anthony. I genuinely had a great experience buying a used car - something I'm sure a lot of folks wouldn't be able to say. More
