Worst experience ever. They put $600 lug nuts on the cars and if you don't want them they charge you to remove them. They explained, "We list our lowest price online, that's why its fixed, if we didn't no one would come in here." Well, that's true! The approx. 20 y/o that was showing me the car knew absolutely nothing about it stating that it was a custom color and had a body kit put on it by the previous owner, nope! None of that is true it was just an uncommon color and a standard Sport model. Bullying sales tactics. Finally agreed to look at the other car loan rates they could offer me after being bullied into it. 2.5 HOURS LATER... They didn't show me other loan rates, they applied and approved me for a Chase bank loan and shoved it in a stack of other papers for me to sign. DISHONEST. Not to mention that loan had a 7.9% interest rate which they blamed on my credit when the loan I walked in there with had a 4.2% interest rate... SLIMEY SLIMEY SLIMEY. When sitting in the Business Manager's office, crying may I add because I was so upset with their service, his boss walked by and through the glass told his to hurry up, they had just sold 5 more cars. IMPERSONAL. After all that they continued to mess everything up. A few weeks later new license plates came in the mail even though I was very clear that I was transferring registration and didn't need new plates or the extra charge for them! Absolutely terrible in every way. RUN FAR, FAR AWAY FORM McGRATH HONDA! More
Happy as can be. I have purchased two cars from McGrath Honda in Elgin in the past two years and the buying experiences could not have been easier or more pleasant. Most recently I dealt with Jesse Fisher who listened to my needs and wants and helped me get exactly the car that would work best for me. I felt the trade in value I got for my old car was fair and the entire process left me almost wishing I needed to buy a car more often. In the service department Jerry Nepermann takes care of all my service needs. Appointments are set up to accommodate my schedule and the work is done promptly and accurately. A couple of times there was a situation that needed immediate attention and it was addressed promptly and with out making me feel like it was any problem for them to squeeze me in. It’s nice to know that my car is well taken care of in a friendly environment. I can enthusiastically recommend McGrath Honda in Elgin for the purchase and service of your Honda. More

First time car buyer, not scared away. While I have driven for almost 5 years, I have not purchased/leased my own vehicle. I have to say that while my tastes are a lot more developed than While I have driven for almost 5 years, I have not purchased/leased my own vehicle. I have to say that while my tastes are a lot more developed than my budget, I couldn't have been happier with the decision I made purchasing my 2014 CR-V EX. A little background of my car history, I drove a 2006 Honda Pilot, 2011 Acura TSX, 2012 Jeep Patriot (vehicle to be replaced by the new Honda), and now the 2014 Honda CR-V. I loved all of my Honda-brand vehicles and I completely regret not getting another Honda back in 2012 when I picked up a Patriot. Back in April of 2014, I began looking at cars that could be a suitable replacement to my Jeep. I visited a dealer to test drive some cars including the Honda Accord Sport and EXL V6 and CRV EXL. I enjoyed both vehicles, but I knew I could only choose one. Upon more review of my current vehicle and employment situation, I knew my Jeep was going to need some hefty maintenance and my driving would begin to increase. When I brought my Jeep to its dealer to see what it exactly needed, they reported that my brakes were at their final wearing point and my tires would not make it through the summer without being replaced. With my family's history of Chrysler products, I knew that as soon as I started putting money into the vehicle, it would become a money pit. My dad actually bought a vehicle from Anthony a week before I did! I thought for sure I would start there to see if trading in my Jeep would end up being the smarter choice in the long run, fun fact: it was. My dad bought a 2014 Honda Accord EXL V6 Navi, which is absolutely beautiful. I didn't meet with Anthony when my dad bought his car, but I did meet him a couple times during the first week of my dad's new ownership of his vehicle. I immediately knew from the beginning that I could trust Anthony would try his hardest to get me into my "dream" vehicle, which is Honda. I knew my Jeep was worth less than I owed, and the monthly payments would end up skyrocketing. Since this was my first purchase, I wasn't ready for a $500 car payment, even if its Honda. While I was very interested in purchasing the highest trim of the CR-V (EXL AWD), Anthony had to bring my focus back to reality. He helped me realize that the EX trim is just as good as the EXL, if not better. And its comparable to the Jeep's trim, which I was happy with. All in all, Anthony was the best salesman I ever met and made my first car buying experience a painless one. I look forward to doing business with him again in the future. More

I am so grateful for his kindness and positive attitude, it was a really great experience, and I will definitely be back when the time comes for another car!
