The process of buying my new truck was enjoyable. The only complaint I have is that I was going to go to my lender to pick up a check and the dealership had me do it all through them. I brought my truck in for oil change and state inspection and told I was needing brakes to pass by Lauren. Five months prior I was told everything was good and the truck needed nothing. She called inspection and told I was needing brakes to pass by Lauren. Five months prior I was told everything was good and the truck needed nothing. She called and said the fronts were down to 1mm pad life and 4mm in the rear. She then said it'll be about $1600 to replace them and I said Id have to thing about it as money is tight. As a ex-service writer, I would've offered just doing the fronts to pass inspection, this was not the case. She said ok, the truck will be ready in 10 mins to pick up. Luckily, they had not actually performed the inspection. Fast forward to the weekend, having the ability to replace my own brakes I pulled the tires to replace them. After looking at the remaining pad life, I was absolutely lied to. The least amount of pad life left on my trucks front brakes was 4mm on one pad and 6 mm on the remaining 3. Needless to say, I won't be bringing my truck back anytime soon. Up until this point, I thought I had found a company I could trust. This is not the case unfortunately. More
