Very Sad Customer Care I bought a brand new Tucson and am still paying it off. The a/c broke and when I called, the representative said they where booked and couldn't see me I bought a brand new Tucson and am still paying it off. The a/c broke and when I called, the representative said they where booked and couldn't see me for 5 days during a Heatwave. When I finally for an appointment, the part was out of stock, and would take 2 to 3 days. I was told they would call me when it arrived and schedule an appointment for installation. Shae my rep told me a loaner car would cost me $280. I turned the loaner car down. I never got my a call, I actually had to call them to find out it arrived but no one called. My next available appointment was in 3 days making my total wait to fix the car was 9 days. Then on installation day, I watch the tech pull my car out and park it in front of the service station, and it took my representative Shae 40 minutes to inform me my car was done. The dealer should offer a FREE Loaner Car, now my replacement a/c compressor is only warranted for 1 year, but I still owe 2 yrs on the car.... I had every intention on buying a new Hyundai but NOW, not so much More
Ripoff experience once out of warranty Visited dealership to address exhaust noise on 2011 elantra with ~120k miles(definately sounded like small exhaust/muffler leak, also enginee/accelrat Visited dealership to address exhaust noise on 2011 elantra with ~120k miles(definately sounded like small exhaust/muffler leak, also enginee/accelration felt hard from the same time exhaust noise started so asked dealership to check this as well), dealership came back with shocked resolution of replacing muffler (~$680 plus) and transmission replacement (~$2800 plis tax). Also told me to resurface front rotors (~$250 plus tax) without providing detail of how much left on rotors. Simply told no and went to local mechanic who found rusted bolt on muffler causing noise and replced for 1/10 of the dealership price. Dealership used to be good within warranty period (Also used to provide detailed sheet of inspection items including tire depth, rotor width etc.) but once warranty got over it went to opposite direction (no detailed inspection sheet, nothing). Not going to visit now onwards. More
