This is the second car I have purchased from Gabe Romero. My first was last year when I bought a 2012 Prius Plug In. I was so happy with the service I received that I returned and bought a 2012 Rav 4 EV. I was very interested in the car, but the wife wasn't sure, so we just went to look at it. I could not have asked for any better service than I received. By the end of the visit, we had purchased the car, knew all about the features and charging etc. Price negotiation was painless. I know what I wanted to pay, and how much I wanted for my tradein. I was asking for a fair deal, not a steal. Dealerships are a business and they have to make money to stay in business. I was very satisfied with this process. My wife forgot her work badge in the car, and we needed to get the reverse beep turned off, so she returned the following day by herself and while the work was being done Gabe went and get her some coffee and made her as comfortable as possible. We live in Anaheim. There are a lot of other Toyota dealers close by us that I could have bought a car from, and frankly I went in and talked to them. I knew more about the cars then they did. They are simply sales people that happen to be selling cars. So we drive up to Manhattan Beach to see Gabe. Gabe educates himself about the cars he sells and to my surprise, knew more about the EV than I did. It really is refreshing to work with a dealer that knows what they are selling and can answer questions without trying to make something up. More

We came in on the last day of March not browsing but determined to purchase a Toyota Corolla from MBT. We had already been given an online quote by Victor Hernandez whose phone calls we received when we determined to purchase a Toyota Corolla from MBT. We had already been given an online quote by Victor Hernandez whose phone calls we received when we signed up for quotes on TrueCar.com. It was one of the lowest we got in our acceptable price range while visiting with many frustrating Toyota dealerships. This is a true story: We called ahead of time to announce our visit and to make sure that our desired model and color is in stock and that the dealership hours are as posted. Everything was confirmed and we were given an appointment with Andy Carlson. From the moment we walked in he met us without delay, greeted us warmly and treated us respectfully throughout the whole stay of 3-4 hours. And once we test drove and spoke about our goals and expectations, we simply "clicked" with Andy. He is very professional, very honest [as honest as a car salesman can be;))) ], very straightforward and knowledgeable, AND very prepared. He already knew our whole previous conversation with Victor Hernandez and was able to honor and negotiate the online WRITTEN offer that brought us in. We can honestly say that we got a great deal, a very satisfactory experience . What made a huge difference in our success here at MBT is that we were extremely well prepared and fully determined to buy! We weren't simply browsing around, wasting mutual time, nor wondering what to do. We walked in knowing exactly what we wanted, how much we were willing to spend, and how to achieve our goals - our excellent credit. With our research and our "homework" done well in advance, full credentials in hand, excellent credit on our side - it was a simple, easy, straightforward process. What made us buy here is the deal (Victor Hernandez) of course, but it's also the fact that Andy Carlson stood out from the mediocre salesmen at the dealerships we visited by his ability to see and understand customers needs, i.e. to see us as people, not numbers. He COMMUNICATED clearly his point WITHOUT the widespread among other dealerships arrogant , derisive, sarcastic and patronizing tone. Andy Carlson showed an amazing sense of humor to us and our child, and he always kept a polite, civil, easy going tone which ultimately earned out respect. That he is the 2011 Scion Champion is perfectly understood. We see no reason why he shouldn't be the Toyota 2013 Champion. Best of luck, Andy! Great job, Victor! We had a horrible experience with this dealership. Our sales person was wonderful; however, when it was time to do the deal (for 2 vehicles), the sales manager, David Maxwell was horrific and unprofession sales person was wonderful; however, when it was time to do the deal (for 2 vehicles), the sales manager, David Maxwell was horrific and unprofessional. He was super aggressive and yelling (yes yelling) at us for being insulting with the price and coming up with fake deals. ?? This was the most bizarre and unprofessional experience we have ever seen. The deals we were quoting were on the internet and we told him who to call to verify. Yelling at clients during a negotiation for two vehicles that his friendly sales person was so helpful to show us is unacceptable. Mr. Maxwell screamed at us on the floor in front of other customers and colleagues which was very embarrassing and humiliating. We had asked him at least twice what price would work and with that information we said it will not work which was okay with us as one of the vehicles was not exactly right anyway. We ran out of there. So abusive I thought he could actually start a fist fight. Its a shame, you could have seriously sold two vehicles before year end. Mr Maxwell should re-visit customer service training at the very least as he is an embarrassment to that dealership. We are locals and will absolutely never buy a vehicle if he is working there. We understand the dealership is moving to new ownership. The new ownership should take a serious look at David Maxwell. Happy to answer any questions the new or existing management has about the incident. More

I worked with Dennis Paz who really tried to work with me on the car WITHOUT the usual sales pitch. So I bought a camrey. I told him if he could get me a good deal on another F J I would consider a second purchase. After a couple of weeks we talked and with the help of Jeff the manager I just bought the F J also. this is the fourth car in the last three years From Manhattan Toyota. These are a bunch of great people. Even Nat the finance man (and I usually do not like the finance guys) was great! Good job training these guys! Steve Scheman More

After sales service is another reason I like this dealership. Having the oldest, largest, and most highly respected multiple martial arts school in South Bay for 40 years, I know how important quality, low prices, and student (customer) service is. I especially like the free car washes each week. Joy Anderson, the Customer Relations Manager, made sure my questions were answered. It seemed like a daunting task before I went to the dealer but from the moment I got in contact with Gabe it was truly something I never expected from a dealership. He was extremely courteous and even offered to pick up a key at my home the following day to remove my tow hitch because I had forgotten it. I was in and out of the dealer in about 2 hours. What I really appreciated was that he stayed really late beyond his normal shift hours to accommodate us. I know that family time is essential and he really made the buying experience comfortable and never rushed any aspect of the transaction.
