This review is for Saratoga Ford, owned by Mackey Automotive. I assume the same deceptive practices apply to other brands which is why I am repeating it here. I placed an order for a Maverick pickup Automotive. I assume the same deceptive practices apply to other brands which is why I am repeating it here. I placed an order for a Maverick pickup in September 2022 and put down a $1000 deposit. In July 2023, almost a year later, I was informed a vehicle matching my specs except for color was available. I confirmed I wanted it and asked that the $1000 deposit be applied toward my purchase. The next day, I was informed they would sell the vehicle to someone else with a $5000 markup. This is the height of bad faith. I have cancelled my order and requested a return of my deposit because I have no doubt that when another vehicle comes in they will mark it up again. Ironically, I chose this dealership because the salesperson at the time assured me they do not mark up popular vehicles. Note, I am required to include the name of the salesperson I worked with, Jeremy Watkins, but he was as upset as I was and went to bat for me. More

bought a 2016 jeep wrangler despite area jeep club advising against buying from them. Pointed out leaky rear shocks on test drive - was assured they would be checked. Picked vehicle up and was told they were checked & fine. Oil was found leaking from one shock within 1-2 days - no response from Mackey after they lied. One shock was leaking, the other had no oil - zero piston resistance. Also, transmission issue brought to their attention - like the shocks - no response after waiting 2 weeks. I emailed and emailed Joe P with no response. It was ONLY after sending an email stating that I was going to file a complaint with the attorney general's office did I get a reply. Check engine light came on - small evap issue, had to buy a gas cap. Auto parts employee asked me where I bought the jeep - told them Mackey's. He states "I heard they were shady". LOL live and learn - never again! More

While I hate to give bad reviews and usually just skip reviewing, I feel the need to warn people about this dealership. I bought a truck from Mackey and Derrick agreed to put a liner in. Well, they took t reviewing, I feel the need to warn people about this dealership. I bought a truck from Mackey and Derrick agreed to put a liner in. Well, they took the payment out of my overpayment check so I ended up paying for it. The liner did not fit and was out in incorrectly yet they gave it to me like that anyway. When I complained, they told me I had to drop the truck off and leave it, I had already waited over a week the first time for it to be put in wrong. All I asked for was an appointment or the name of the company so I could get it fixed. Mackey refused to give me the name of who installed it, refused to give money back and would only look at it if I dropped the truck off blindly with no appointment. I cannot afford to rent a car or use Uber in covid. I do not think asking for an appointment is unreasonable. However, Mackey did nothing to fix the liner and took my money. Why does a company need to take money from a personal bd not give a decent product? Then on top of it all, Derrick emailed me abs told me it was over 30 days and I could not return the car, but I never tried to. Now the transmission is acting up. Please be very wary if you deal with Mackey. They are not professionals and have no morals or ethics. The worst part is I came with my own financing and could have gone anywhere. I should have read the reviews. More
