Hello, I don't know for what reason you take the driver's license from buyers and keep it in your office. I am not sure if the law allows you to do so. But doesn't look friendly. If you want to make a change at all to the way you do customer service, please review this practice. I figured out almost all the dealerships ask for the DL but does not keep it in office while the customer test drives a car. To answer your question, my experience with your dealership is a long story. And i am not sure what or why do you want to hear from me.

We like to get both sides of the transaction when someone posts a negative review, especially calling us "money suckers." A lot of people get upset when they are turned down or otherwise unable to buy a vehicle or buy a vehicle at a price they think is fair; and blame it on the dealer. This is understandable, but not accurate. I don't know if this was your situation; just trying to acertain why were unable to help you. It appears you are unhappy because we wouldn't negotiate and since I don't know what vehicle you selected, It's hard to determine the reason; I can only assume you may have chosen a vehicle that had already been discounted to it's lowest price,or, and please don't take this wrong, but customers with less than perfect credit it is sometimes necessary to pay a fee to the lender. It is illegal for us to "add" the fee to the price, so we have to reserve a certain amount of profit to allow for the fee. Sometimes the fee is greater than the profit margin, so we have to be careful not to discount the vehicle to much until we know the fee. Again, I don't know if this was the situation, just trying to explain how it works and why dealers must sometimes refuse to negotiate in order to help some customers. We're not "money-suckers." We try to help everyone get a vehicle; and sometimes, depending on the situation, we need to reserve as much profit as we can to offset the anticipated lender fees. I hope you have a better understanding and implore you to remove your review or at least rewrite your comments to remove the libelous portion. I do apologize for your experience and will forward your comments concerning the DL to management.

To my knowledge, for a person with less than perfect credit, lenders will either not approve a loan or give a loan with higher interest rate. But i did not know any lender that will ask for a separate fee. What happened to me was I was asking $2000 more than the sell in value of a car, but still your dealership was not able to match the price. I did lots of research about buying cars and I can defend my buying process based on the knowledge i gained through my research. This is just like anyone else who follows advise from the internet. And I bet you can't blame on the information provided by the internet coz if it were not true (not need to be accurate) it shouldn't be there for pubic. However, i admit I was upset when i wrote the review. I cant completely withdraw my opinion but can write it in a better way. And thanks for having offered to pass my opinion about the DL on to your management. Hope they review this practice. thanks and good bye.

I understand, but having spent over forty-years in the car business and the last twelve years marketing on the internet I can assure you everything on the Internet is not necessarily true. However, perception is reality; so if someone "perceives" it to be true, it is true to them whether it's truth or not. This is the real danger of the Internet...people can say whatever they want and it is perceived to be true. That's why we go to great lengths to determine the validity of negative reviews. Believe it or not, competitors will post negative reviews simply to drive business away from another business. It's not right, but it happens...and since posting on the Internet is done anonymously, it is hard for a business to separate the false reviews from actual customer experiences. Consumer sites are beneficial as guides but they do not buy cars; and as you know, a car, like anything else is only worth what someone will pay for it. Since I don't know the details of your transaction, I can only assume the manager felt he could get more from another buyer; but that's only an assumption. As for lenders requiring additional fees from sub-prime borrowers, it's to reduce the risk associated with the loan. You're right about the higher interest rates charged, but that's only half the story. These are lenders who specialize in sub-prime lending. I agree, holding the DL is not a "friendly" process. It's not the way I would do business, but I'm just the marketing guy :-) Hopefully your comment will have some effect in getting this process changed. Thank you for bringing it to our attention...and thank you for revising your complaint.
