From the first time we visited the dealership, we had an outstanding experience. I felt like Bradley really listened and understood what I wanted in a car. When I picked up 'Roxy', everyone in the dealership was welcoming and made a point to speak to me. I felt special, which isn't usually how you feel after you've already bought your car. Jan made the paperwork as easy as possible. Jon special ordered my overnight bag, and even shipped it to my house when it came in. It took me over a year to convince my dad to go to a dealership with me and the first (and only) one he would go to was Mini. (I needed my dad to co-sign so I could get the best interest rate). If it wasn't for Kirstie and her EXCELLENT customer service, my dad would have walked right out the door (and i would still be stuck in a Camry). She was very nice, easy to work with and not pushy whatsoever! Whatever I wanted, she made it happen. They didn't have my exact car that I wanted in stock so we had to order it but everyday I waited (which came earlier than expected) was worth it! Mark in finance was super easy to work with as well! Overall,I am very happy with the level of customer service that I have received! Kristie is phenomenal and I only recommend her! Kirstie, you are a pro and I cannot thank you enough for being so great!! It is hard to please my dad especially when it comes to buying cars, but you have made it a breeze! Thank you so much! When my husband and I walked in the door, he told Kirstie he wanted to be in and out in an hour, with a good price on our trade, and the right deal on our MINI. Kirstie made it happen! I set out car shopping from Winston Oregon heading north on interstate 5 stopping at any size able town to look for an economy car. I knew that I was interested in a Mini Cooper but I was being open to all economy cars. I found some dealers with some used mini coopers but when I arrived to look at one at a dealer that had advertised they were unable to locate it & so I moved on checking out other cars but wasn't satisfied with my findings. I kept driving & looking & learning things along the way & eventually found myself pulling into Mini cooper of Portland OR. I walked inside & was greeted with a smile & was asked if I could be helped, I replied "yes, could I get somebody from sales please" I waited not even a minute & was greeted by Peter with a handshake & a proper introduction. He asked if my Fiancé, kids or myself would like something to drink & we were served bottled water which was nice after the long days drive. Peter was very nice & friendly. We discussed what I was looking for and we starting looking at several mini coopers. Then we discussed some more things about the cars & Peter offered great advice to us & with his knowledge of Mini's it was very helpful. Peter found the perfect car for what we were setting out to do. I feel we received a good bargain & are very happy with our purchase. We ended up coming back the next day due to my own circumstances & picked up our new Mini Cooper. Upon pickup Peter sat down with me in the car & showed me all the neat features of the mini & answered any questions I had. He was very thorough but not too thorough & he made it very fun & cool. I drove away with a big smile on my face, a very satisfied feeling, & not to mention a full tank of gas. All of the staff at Portland Mini were very accommodating to my Fiancé, myself & our 4 kids but Peter deffinetely offered a one of a kind great car buying experience. Thank you Peter Hisey! So on the hottest day of the year I decided to test drive some cars. I had already visited 3 other dealerships, knew what I was looking for (price wise) and needless to say I was in a pretty bad mood by the some cars. I had already visited 3 other dealerships, knew what I was looking for (price wise) and needless to say I was in a pretty bad mood by the time I got to Mini. The first person I met was Allen who greeted me with a smile (a nice genuine one). He was friendly and seemed happy despite the hot weather. He was more than happy to show me every car that I was thinking about. He was patient, fun to be around, and easy-going. He didn't even laugh at me when I stalled (I was so embarrassed)! I went back and forth about 100 times on which car I liked, any normal salesman would have been irritated, but Allen just listened to my chatter and laughed. There was no hard sell, no irritating speeches about stuff I didn't care about, and I felt so taken care of I would have purchased a tricycle from him at that point and been happy. The financing guy Mark Harper was brilliant! He was quick, funny and very direct which made it easy. This is by far the BEST dealership experience I have had! If you are buying a car, or just looking and want someone to help you that is AWESOME, I suggest calling Allen. THANK YOU for the great experience! More
First-time car buyer, braced for the worst, had an ultra-pleasurable experience overall. Ultimately felt more like a reunion of friends than something insidiously transactional. Dan and Mark, no matter what their salaries, are vastly underpaid. It was as much them as it was the car itself that instilled the confidence that I have a pleasure-to-drive, companionable vehicle for the next half-dozen years. They continue to inquire how much fun I'm having driving what I affectionately named "The Notorious B.R.G." (for British Racing Green); I'm pleased to report that driving it out here 60 miles east of the city where I live remains an extreme joy. And, in a defining moment, in the section of the process that I feared most, that of being locked away in the Financial Manager's office for The Big Haggle, I still kick myself for not just ordering a pizza delivered in there because my pal and I were having such a fun time being regaled with anecdotes and maxims from Mark; the financial discussion seemed incidental. So, not only "Go MINI!" but also "Go Tandem of Brits!!" there at MINI of Portland. One of my main tasks among all these Subaru drivers out here in Hood River is to convince them they're driving an inferior car currently and they should see those guys immediately to rectify that sad fact.
