In the last 30 years I bought a dozen of Toyotas from dealers in CA, MA, NH and now Missoula, MT. Lithia dealership was the most professional and the easiest to deal with. No sales pressure to buy stupid dealers in CA, MA, NH and now Missoula, MT. Lithia dealership was the most professional and the easiest to deal with. No sales pressure to buy stupid extended warranties, no back and forth to the manager for price adjustments. The whole process of trading in 2 Priuses for 2024 Tacoma was less than one hour. More
Went in to look at a car on Wednesday, and you will want to be sure to steer clear of Preston Philbrick. I was prequalified, and he refused to run my credit application on the car we looked at. He also did to be sure to steer clear of Preston Philbrick. I was prequalified, and he refused to run my credit application on the car we looked at. He also did not give me on my way out of the dealership the necessary paperwork to take to my bank so they could move forward with the sale when they opened the next morning. Since he blocked the sale, the car unfortunately sold the next day to someone else. Had I known I would have asked for someone else, like I would today IF I ever decide to go back, but doubtful after my experience. More
If you’re looking for a dealership whereyou’ll have a great experience, keep looking! After trusting this dealership based on previous decades of good accountability and “making things right,” I’ve had b great experience, keep looking! After trusting this dealership based on previous decades of good accountability and “making things right,” I’ve had bad experiences with my last two cars from here. First one, a 2015 Rav 4 that developed electrical glitches causing frequent battery drain and jumping; dealership couldn’t fix (in 5 times, replaced all wiring in the back door, etc $) yet offered a poor trade in value. Traded it in for more at Subaru where I got a great 2016 RAV4 and super service! Second car was for my son, and in that deal I feel like we were sold a car that shouldn’t have even been on the lot. The salesman lied and didn’t follow through on his promise that we could have the headlight covers buffed out at later times. My son and I both heard the same words…the salesman, A.R., denied his offer and hung up on me! When I called back saying we’d been disconnected, he said he’d see about getting me a discount and never called back. That car‘s engine was declared shot by the dealership after we had it for only 38,000 miles. Tech said it should’ve gone another 100,000 as a Toyota! The day I bought it was the first day I could drive again after ovarian cancer surgery and I was too weak to look around much for a reliable car for my son. I feel like I was a “mark” to dump this bad car on. I asked the dealership what they could do for us and was offered a good trade in as if the engine wasn’t shot! That‘s all! I’ll hit up Subaru—clearly better service, honest salespeople, and my car from them is better, too. Their service center is better too—myself and another person have both left vehicles for repair at Lithia only to find when w came to pick up our vehicleaned that they didn’t even have the parts! Go anywhere else. More
We own a 2015 Lexus with 55 K miles and it had a value spring break while we were visiting from Spokane. Since there is no Lexus dealership in Missoula we took it to Lithia Toyota of Missoula. We offered spring break while we were visiting from Spokane. Since there is no Lexus dealership in Missoula we took it to Lithia Toyota of Missoula. We offered to haul the vehicle back to Spokane for repair, but our service advisor said that their technicians were equally as good as what we would find at Lexus. We left the car in their hands and the cost to replace a value spring ended up at a little over $ 6,700 and was in the shop for 5 weeks. We were surprised and not happy when we got the final bill and were told that the service manager would contact us. We have never heard from anyone at the dealership. During the repair work they pulled the engine and transmission. The service advisor said they broke the transmission and did end up replacing it at no additional cost. We are very disappointed in Lithia Toyota and cannot recommend them to anyone. The dealership has very poor communication skills, the length of time for our repair was unreasonable, the cost to repair seemed very high, the repair job was apparently beyond the skill set of the technicians and we were very disappointed in the service managers follow up. We were informed that the repair service was completed when we received an e-mail asking us to fill out a survey before we had ever heard from our service advisor. We had to drive to Missoula and pick up the car on a Saturday and of course there was no one there that could explain what had been done to the car. My worst car repair experience ever. More
The fact that used cars are getting nearer to the price tag of new cars, it was a no brainer to just bite the bullet and buy something new. The staff truly made us feel welcomed, and it was not the stereot tag of new cars, it was a no brainer to just bite the bullet and buy something new. The staff truly made us feel welcomed, and it was not the stereotypical salesperson fake welcome at all. They told us why our current trade-in was a lower price than what we expected (our used car was stolen before, had high mileage and had a lot of work done.) They had the history of our trade-in vehicle on Carfax. They were transparent and honest. They took the time to make sure we got a fairer monthly payment plan. They explained the buying process each step of the way. Nobody used any hard sale tactics and we felt no pressure at all. We knew what we wanted and did a down payment even before seeing the car in person. I sincerely recommend this dealership if you are a single woman, a teen buying their first car, a gay couple, somebody who speaks English as a second language, the disabled and the elderly (or anybody else I forgot). 6 minutes agoNEW-Edit By far one of the worst experiences, I have ever had making a large purchase. to start the detail was terrible. Gum and melted candy stuck to the inside of things like pull experiences, I have ever had making a large purchase. to start the detail was terrible. Gum and melted candy stuck to the inside of things like pull down cup holders. I haven't ever been in a position to buy a decent vehicle until recently in life. They let me leave without loan information, and understanding of how the title and registration process works, or any other information. My temporary registration is due to expire this Friday. after having correspondence with Scott Z. for several weeks about the registration, the county still cannot help me register the car. After asking for a renewal on the registration Scott told me "That's just the way it is". If you need a car, go anywhere else if you don't want to be treated like a doormat by the staff. I am appalled at the treatment I received from Lithia. I have attached the end of the email chain. You will see me explaining to Scott that I needed an extension on the registration, and he just belligerently ignored that topic, making an attempt to excuse why it occurred to begin with. I have never been more disrespected by a company in my life. More
It's more and more difficult to do business with Lithia Missoula. For two years I have been able to get walk-in oil changes and 5K mile service. This morning (Friday June 9, 7:45AM) I'm told I have to ha Missoula. For two years I have been able to get walk-in oil changes and 5K mile service. This morning (Friday June 9, 7:45AM) I'm told I have to have an appointment, almost 2 weeks out. Mine is a working Tacoma pickup and appointments for any work are very difficult. I do not buy that they don't have the staff. Fridays are their slowest day. They just seem to be taking a hardened attitude toward customers like we are an inconvenience. This store used to be great to work with, not any more. More
I've purchased many cars in my 62 years and this was by far the worse experience ever. On June 1st, I went to Lithia to see about a possible trade for a car that would get better gas mileage. First they ma far the worse experience ever. On June 1st, I went to Lithia to see about a possible trade for a car that would get better gas mileage. First they made a deal with me on a Chevy Volt that didn't make it to Lolo on Highway 93. They admitted there was something very wrong with the car, but when I asked for my trade in car back, they refused to give it to me and cancel the deal, even though the deal was only an hour or less old! They forced me into a loaner car to get back to Darby and told me to come back in the next day or two. Desparate for a vehicle, they offered me a Mazda CX5 in a day or two. It had just come in on a trade and they hadn't even looked it over. The salesman, Rob insisted it was a great car for me. I felt I had no choice but to buy it, since they wouldn't give me my trade in car back. In addition to scaring me into buying the extra maintenance plan I never agree to, they forced me to buy a windshield protection policy I didn't need or want. They claim they never sell a car without the policy. That policy is added on to the purchase price. My only option was to not buy a car from them....but yet they wouldn't give me my trade in back! I had to contact the Montana Consumer Protection Agency and the windshield company to discover that they can't force a consumer to buy a product they don't want. As far as I know, they continue to force all of their customers to purchase that policy! The Mazda had a cracked windshield when I bought it. It took a month for them to fix it and they only did that because I went to Safelite and got a bid to fix it the next day and drove the bid to them to show them it could be fixed. Additionally, they told me I could register and license my vehicle in Montana, even though I didn't have a physical address in Montana. This proved to be a lie as well, when I contacted Ravalli County to register the Mazda. It is now November and I finally got my car registered and licensed in my home state. This entire experience was a disaster. I would recommend Lithia Toyota of Missoula to my worse enemy. More
Do not do business with this dealership. I was charged for parts I did not need. The parts used to replace my existing parts were inferior to the original parts. Never once did I get an apol I was charged for parts I did not need. The parts used to replace my existing parts were inferior to the original parts. Never once did I get an apology for my weeks long ordeal. I ended up having to wrist corporate in order to get the issue addressed. Still did not receive an apology or any offer to make things right. Worst experience ever. More
