No update on status of car repair from service representative. I had to call multiple times and was not given any information. I asked if I could have loaner, answer no. This review is intended to be critical of Lithia Hyundai corporate, more so than the dealership in question. I received the survey invite from this dealership though, since they served me. Since discovering a manufacturing flaw in my engine (2016 Hyundai Elantra GT), and realizing I had missed a recall deadline, the engine flaw has been causing my car to burn a large amount of oil. So much oil, that smoke and debris from the oil particles have been getting trapped in my catalytic converters, clogging them, and making them fail. I've had to replace 5 of them in the last 30k miles (@ ~$2K each). 1st time addressed this with the dealership above, and was told first that to execute my extended warranty from the recall, my engine would have to develop a very loud knock and I didn't meet that condition. The second time I addressed it with this dealership, I was told that if my car failed an oil consumption test, that they could execute the warranty on my engine. The dealership performed the test, and determined that my car burns slightly over 1 quart per 1,000 miles, which they say is only slightly out of spec. It was explained to me that corporate denied my claim based on this, so it looks like I'll have to continue replacing $2,000 catalytic converters every 6ish thousand miles, until I get tired of it and get a new car. I can tell you that the new car, nor any car I ever purchase will ever be from hyundai or an affiliate again. Funny thing is, if they had honored this recall because of this problem, caused by their mistake at the design and manufacturing level, I would have never bought another kind of car again. Clearly there is a policy at the corporate level to deal with these legitimate issues in bad faith and try to avoid taking responsibility for their mistakes. It's really too bad because the guys at the dealership were alright. More

I had to leave my car there for 48 hours and buy my own rental because my battery died TWICE in less than a year. My door was bent by the tow truck Hyundai sent and now I have to deal with the repair with rental because my battery died TWICE in less than a year.
