Motor replaced for recall. Multiple Parts were damaged during the motor swap. When my wife and I let Lance know what happened we were told we had to pay to have parts fixed if Multiple Parts were damaged during the motor swap. I have a problem with my air conditioner. I live almost an hour away from the dealership and so far it has taken three trips to the dealership and it is not fixed. I am very satisfied with the vehicle I purchased and the deal including my trade-in. However this experience was the typical “used car sales” experience. It started with a test drive of both a 2022 and 2023 deal including my trade-in. However this experience was the typical “used car sales” experience. It started with a test drive of both a 2022 and 2023 Ford Expedition. Everything went well however I felt there were issues with the 2022. The next day I texted the salesman a detailed offer on the 2023 Expedition. After getting no response I texted again later in the day. I received a reply that said he was busy that day and he would get back to me the next day. After not hearing from him the next day I texted again and received a non-answer answer. I then hear from another salesperson and find out the original salesman was off that day. After talking on the phone with the new salesperson she got back to me and said my offer was accepted with the provision that they had to inspect my trade. After arriving at the dealership they pulled out the 2022 Expedition. When I pointed out that my text offer explicitly stated the 2023 Expedition, they told me that they could not honor the offer. This made no sense since my offer was more than what they were asking for the 2022! They must have thought I was an idiot. I guess I was because with everything so far I continued to negotiate on the 2023. The final issue was I asked several time for them to measure the tire depth on the tires. What they finally told was latter proven false when I had a tire dealer measure them. The tire dealer had no reason to lie as I had already purchased and paid for new tires online. They also showed me the measurements. As I said in the beginning I am happy with my purchase, but getting there was typical of car salespeople. Finally I replied to a survey from Lithia and they stated they would get back to me with any issues I had. Of course I never heard from them. More
