DON'T GO, RUN! - Saw a car listed that I liked, so I went to test drive. - Car was disgusting, they hadn’t cleaned it yet. But, I have kids and I’m used to the mess, so I said fine. -Told me I’m not allowed to test drive the car. -Got them to agree that test drives are OK but the car was on E and they refused to put gas in it. -Asked if I could drive 1,000 feet down the road to a Stewarts and turn around at least and they let me do that (refused to put gas in again). -SLIME: Was buying the car with cash, but they had me go back and talk to their finance guy about warrantees. Guy offered me a six year warranty I think it was. I think it was for about 5$4,800. I said no thanks and then he offered to give me “a special deal” for somewhere around $2,200. I had no intention of buying it regardless. But, it clearly showed he was trying to rip me off the entire time. - Go to pick up the car (on the day THEY told me it would be ready). They tell me they cleaned it 30 minutes ago and I'll need to sit on a plastic sheet for the entire day. - THAT DAY: The check engine light comes on. -I called up the dealership and they said, yeah I can bring it in, but they won’t provide a loaner car, they’re going to keep it an undetermined amount of time, and I can go rent a car. THE DAY I PICKED IT UP! -Calls and emails were had with the dealership and the general manager told me I could bring it in right away and they would instantly look at it. - Half a week or a week later after my son has brain surgery, I call on a Friday and speak with a sales manager. They were nice enough and told me to bring it in, they would instantly look at it for me and get me out of there. I VERY specifically confirmed this over the phone multiple times before ending the call. I need a vehicle to be available for my kid and I'm reassured multiple times I can come right in and they'll be expecting me. - I leave my child who just had brain surgery a few days ago to bring this car over and they tell me they refuse to look at it, and I can make an appointment for the end of next week. They will not be providing transportation and will be keeping it an undisclosed amount of time. I get it, in a business when you’re buying something and you’re dealing with five or six different people, there might be a mess up. However, there was literally NOT A SINGLE positive thing or even neutral (it went ok) step in the entire process. *Not counting the last phone call I had where it seemed to go well and I found out it was all a lie and I left my child for nothing to waste my time for their apparent amusement. - Been telling everyone I know. Not that it matters to them, but I was able to prevent one sale when my stepfather was looking for a car so minor victory for me, I guess. -Filing with the State Attorney General for what good that will do and now I have to spend time and effort on small claims court. More

I purchased a 2026 Honda from Lia Honda Albany on 5/2/26. While I am happy with the vehicle itself and ultimately received a fair interest rate, I was very disappointed and upset by portions of the financin While I am happy with the vehicle itself and ultimately received a fair interest rate, I was very disappointed and upset by portions of the financing and management process. My finance manager was Brett Reihs. I called Brett to negotiate an increase to the value of my trade in car. Someone named Phil called me (later finding out his name is Priyesh "Phil" Singh, a sales manager I never met). He proceeded to be belligerent, dismissive and unnecessarily confrontational. He said my trade in was not even worth the price they were paying me. At one point he stated the dealership no longer wanted my trade in. I was ready to give up the whole deal purchasing a new car at Lia Honda. He then increased my trade in value by $1000 and then hung up on me (the reviews I read re: Phil had similar complaints). I wonder if he only treats women this way? Moving on, I was splitting the equity of my trade in - part of it toward new car and the rest sent to me in a check. I then spoke with Brett Reihs again and told him I wanted the extra $1000 to be added to my check being sent to me and not applied to new car. He replied, "No problem". He also tried to sell me a warranty package with an 84 month loan that would have cost me $11,000 more for the life of the loan. I had to repeatedly tell him I did not want the warranty and I did not want an 84 month loan. I would like to ask Brett if he would have suggested this kind of loan/warranty to his mother that would have cost her $11,000 more. I doubt it very much. I took a 72 month loan without the warranty. When signing the paperwork, Brett put the extra $1000 towards the new car loan with no explanation. At this point I was exhausted from the verbal abuse and total disrespect from these two individuals. Additionally, I was informed that I would receive my equity check by the end of the week after my trade payoff was completed (my trade payoff was completed 5 days ago). As of this writing, I have not yet received the check and multiple calls requesting updates were not returned. I am writing this because I believe customers should be treated respectfully when asking reasonable questions during a major purchase. Professional communication and follow through are extremely important, especially during stressful transactions involving significant amounts of money. As it stands now, I purchased a new car, you have my trade in car and MY equity money. This is not acceptable. I would appreciate acknowledgement of this complaint and clarification regarding the status of my equity check. I wrote the above review on 5/9/26. On 5/11/26, Phil Singh called me re: my equity check. He was unapologetic for his belligerent and verbal tirade when speaking with me last week. I told him I will be coming into the dealership this morning to get my equity check. He proceeded to say, “I will expedite your equity check only if you remove your review of me.” I think that says it all about Phil Singh. He was going to hold my money hostage until I removed the review. I received my check and review has NOT been taken down. Brett Reih never returned any of my calls. Anyone going to buy a car at Lia Honda Albany should avoid Phil Singh, sales manager and Brett Reih, finance manager at all cost. There are many reviews like mine on Phil Singh’s page regarding his verbally abusive nature. More

When presenting me with options, he always prioritized what would be best for me long term, financially, and safety wise. I appreciated his humanity and never felt pressured. He is friendly and happy to help, and he even came in on his day off so I could get the car keys sooner. He goes above and beyond to make customers feel valued. It didn’t feel like a business negotiation, more like a team working towards finding the car that was my perfect fit. 11/10 recommend! :) More

I took my car with 12,000 miles on it for an inspection and they told me I needed all 4 brakes replaced to the tune of $1700.00 .
