Being married to a mechanic, and having re-built a couple of engines myself (we restore old cars), I am very fortunate to have a pretty good understanding of cars (and am VERY picky). As with every vehicle, there are "tweaks" which have to be made, and little questions re: the idiosyncracies of each individual vehicle. However, it is the service department that I have been doing business with for seven years, that brought me back to Lexus of Valencia; specifically Kristin Carawan, Assistant Service Manager, is consistently a five star rating. My wife and I traveled from Thousand Oaks, CA to Valencia, CA (about 60 to 70 miles). We met David Mendoza and he was very friendly and knowledgeable about the cars he was selling. My IS350 had reached 60,000 miles and was due for some service. Everything from the scheduling of the service and obtaining the loaner to dropping off my car, and wrapping everything up when it was all s service. I have always been greeted warmly on arrival. Always asked what they can do to help me. Service appointments are easy and convenient to get. In the past when I asked, I have received a loaner car. I drive a long way for service because there is no Lexus dealership in my area. The availability of a loaner vehicle is outstanding. Scott is always courteous and professional. If I had to deal with the other two service people the female and the gentleman next to her I would find a different dealership. It should not take a month to get a reply from the warranty department for an item we have been complaining about for two years. This dealership used to make all their customers feel special. Now it's like going to the Buick dealership next door. Except for the cookies, donuts and a loaner. In fact what happened to your vehicle getting washed after service, and presented to you. Lastly, you only get a hello if they feel they can sale you something. For example how do you walk around the show room without may I help you. I'm sorry the receptionist did say hello, I think she thought I was lost. More
As I walked in, a friendly face greeted me. Instead of just looking for cars, we sat down and talked about why I was here. He was able to show me the colors of the car---the specific cars I was interested in ---a very relaxed approach. As we drove, I enjoyed the drive. The sales was low pressure---I hate high pressure sales where there is a lot of debate and the salesman walking back and forth to the sales manager. Everyone was friendly and I asked that tv channel be changed and it was. It was a great all around experience. John Perkins was outstanding! More
