This was one of the best new car leasing experiences I have had (and I have been leasing cars for more than 20 years). I am not the easiest new car buyer to deal with and I have armed myself with software have had (and I have been leasing cars for more than 20 years). I am not the easiest new car buyer to deal with and I have armed myself with software tools and some knowledge about how the game works. I am no expert but perhaps a bit more savvy than most shoppers. Jarvis Kelly, the Business & Internet mgr was my first contact. He immediately understood how I like to work and provided me all the information I asked for and needed as I pursued this car by email vs phone or visiting the dealership (my request as my time and other factors precluded phone and visits). I provided details as to the car I wanted (a new 2010 HS250h hybrid), the colors that would and wouldn't work and the budget limits I had to deal with. Jarvis was the ONLY dealer to a) get to my budget needs b) find the car in the color we wanted. (Most of the new 2010 cars are gone and the color selection on those left is very limited). We closed a deal by phone during the week - while I was stuck in traffic on the 405 - and we picked up the car on Saturday 2/26 - which was the first time I actually met Jarvis in person. Jarvis orchestrated the final stages by introducing us to Ken Oleesly, the sales rep in charge of 'delivering' the car to us. Ken was great and patient. He walked us through an intro to the massive literature Lexus provides on this car and gave us quick hints as to how to use the materials to get to know the car on our own time. After that Ken introduced us to the car and gave us an in-depth tutorial of all the resources and many of the 'hidden' features available through the control stick and information monitor. Ken also invited us to come back for another 'lesson' after we had more experience with the car so we could go over questions that would undoubtedly come up. By the time we rolled off the lot, we knew quite a bit about this car because of Ken's patience and thoroughness. The last member of the team we dealt with was David Kim. David was the finance guy and he helped us go through the paper work in record time. No pressure for after-market add-ons (a common tactic employed at many dealerships). David mentioned one option called MaxGard - which is a good one - it protects the exterior and interior of the car - and when we declined he accepted our decision gracefully and we concluded the entire transaction in minutes. Based on our experience with this dealer, one that is more than 35 mi from our home, I highly recommend anyone looking for a Lexus to check them out. More
Experience was excellent because there was no high pressure sales and both the sales representative (David Mendoza) and the sales manager (Mark Johnson) were very knowledgeable on the vehicle and avai pressure sales and both the sales representative (David Mendoza) and the sales manager (Mark Johnson) were very knowledgeable on the vehicle and available inventory. The car that I wanted with the features I needed was not on their lot, but they were able to locate it and get to the Valencia lot on the day they promised. Mr. Mendoza also did an outstanding job following up to let me know where they were every step of the way. Also, when the car came in, he did an outstanding job going over all of the features and offered follow up training sessions any time we needed them. Overall, the sales experience was outstanding. SERVICE and FOLLOW-UP are equally as important as the product you build! Being married to a mechanic, and having re-built a couple of engines myself (we restore old cars), I am very fortunate to have a pretty good understanding of cars (and am VERY picky). As with every vehicle, there are "tweaks" which have to be made, and little questions re: the idiosyncracies of each individual vehicle. However, it is the service department that I have been doing business with for seven years, that brought me back to Lexus of Valencia; specifically Kristin Carawan, Assistant Service Manager, is consistently a five star rating. I would strongly recommend Lexus of Valencia for the purchase of a vehicle and its truly outstanding service department. More
My wife and I traveled from Thousand Oaks, CA to Valencia, CA (about 60 to 70 miles). We met David Mendoza and he was very friendly and knowledgeable about the cars he was selling. Two (2) days later we went back to Lexus of Valencia and bought the car we wanted. Mark Johnson was instrumental in getting us a price and trade-in value that worked within our budget. Neither one of us have experienced in our past car purchases, such an outstanding, professional as well as courteous, friendly and accommodating conduct. We have special ordered our car. Thanks to Susan, we got exactly what we wanted and much earlier than originally anticipated. Ken has delivered the car to us and spent all the time needed to guide us. And Mark helped us in getting the best price. These employees are a great asset to Lexus and should be an example of excellence in representing the face of Lexus to the public. We also want to commend All the personnel that answers the phone and especially Allison who were always, cheerful accommodating and very helpful in all our phone communications. My IS350 had reached 60,000 miles and was due for some service. Everything from the scheduling of the service and obtaining the loaner to dropping off my car, and wrapping everything up when it was all s service. James was very attentive to my concerns with my vehicle and informed just about every step of the service process. I have always been greeted warmly on arrival. Always asked what they can do to help me. Service appointments are easy and convenient to get. In the past when I asked, I have received a loaner car. My car was washed and presented to me. Only downside to being a Lexus driver is the high cost of service. More
