Overall, a wonderful experience. Full disclosure, there was one slight inconvenience that should have been avoided but aside from that a perfect experience. My contact with this dealership had its genesis with a call for a price quote. I was pleasantly surprised by the professionalism of Tim Burns. Tim was upfront and gave me a fair price without haggling. I had shopped many dealerships before and suffice it to say, they didn't even come close to this level of professionalism. Tim emailed me the specs on the car so I could review it prior to the meeting we scheduled the following afternoon. I had a question about the car and emailed Tim at 7:30 a.m. and almost immediately received a response. Tim clearly gives his all, even responding to clients when he's not "on the clock". When I finally met with Tim, he was the consumate professional, we negotiated the finer points and quickly settled on terms that were agreeable. Tim entrusted the remainder of my experience to Matt Trubia, a sales consultant. Matt is a great guy and very friendly. Matt was very thorough and guided me through the remainder of the process with great comfort and skill. He truly was a delight to deal with. I also had the pleasure of dealing with Dolores Russell, the finance manager. She was professional, friendly and also a pleasure to deal with. The only criticism I had was that when I picked up my vehicle, there was a button cluster (traction control, blind spot monitor, heated steering wheel etc.) that was not working. I will take responsibility to the extent that I should have made sure everything worked before taking delivery, but they also should have caught that. It was not a big deal, I came in and the service manager (Forgot your name) and Matt both took great care of me. To their credit I was not pleased with the inconvenience of having to return with a brand new vehicle and they made the situation palatable. As suspected, the cluster of buttons had been disconnected when the autostart was installed and never plugged back in. The service manager plugged it back in and minutes later my new car was returned. Everyone makes mistakes and it clearly was not intentional, they did their best to resolve the issue and I was pleased with their efforts. I highly recommend this dealership. As a side note, if you are considering Massapequa Lexus, save yourself the time and aggravation, go to Smithtown, it's worth the trip. More
Ken Goldberg is experienced and very knowledgeable of the products he sells. He has never rushed me whether on the phone or in person. We might have shaved a few dollars off the price by shopping around, but the excellent service we get at Smithtown keeps us as a very satisfied customer. More
I had been searching on line for an CPO RX400h for about a month. I had spoken with dealerships around the country as far as Utah, California and Florida. I had found a car I liked at good price in South C a month. I had spoken with dealerships around the country as far as Utah, California and Florida. I had found a car I liked at good price in South Carolina, but it was sold before I could arrange to get there. I found another in a dealership in Mass a few days earlier and had planned to get it. They had an attractive sale price online at Lexus CPO and on their own site. Then the day before I was ready to drive there the sale price was made a special sale, and was increased by $1000 from the day before. I looked these guys up on Yelp and found several complaints. A buddy of mine who had been looking out of town for me found a car I might like right here in Long Island. He negotiated the price on the phone, contacted me and I went to see it at Lexus of Smithtown. The car looked almost new. I had leased several cars since 1992 at this dealership but never purchased a CPO there, though I was trading in a CPO 400h I had bought in Florida 3 years earlier. When we arrived Mike greeted us and asked our name. When I gave him my last name he gave my first name, and remembered that he had sold us a car probably 10 years earlier. Amazing. Well the car looked pristine, it drove like a new one, and Mike gave us a good deal. He also delivered our car the next day, set up our phones, our garage door, and our Satellite radio. He also came back the next day with CD's I had left in my old 400h trade. All in all a great experience. Mike is a great salesman, very service oriented and very friendly to deal with. Lexus of course is a great car, and the RX400h is a terrific SUV, great gas mileage, absolutely quiet, lots of pep, and plenty of room. More
A visit to Lexus of Smithown is actually an enjoyable experience. We recently leased our 4th Lexus from there and it was as smooth a transaction as you can imagine. The staff really has a very good customer oriented outlook. Their knowledge of the cars they are selling is absolutely first class. Their treatment of their customers is also first class. They really care. Our visit usually begins with Robert Rossworn, Sales Manager. A summary of the latest changes in the Lexus line followed by a schedule of what is necessary to complete an orderly and rapid sale and closing. We are always impressed with the depth of his knowledge of each new Lexus. In addition, working with Dolores Russell, Finance Manager, is so organized and seamless that even after all these years I am still amazed at how quickly she can pull everything together. Flnally, we worked with Michael Mandolese, Sales Consultant, who was able to answer every question about our new Lexus - inside and out - and review with us in depth all the new capabilities of the electronics on our new Lexus, as well as, all the new safety features. In summary, from Robert to Dolores to Michael their knowledge of the cars was unbeatable, and results in a very pleasant experience at Lexus of Smithtown. More
