Below is my advice when buying a car with Landmark as well as my recent experience. Bottom line for me is I got a great price for my trade and a great deal on the vehicle I purchased. However, the serv well as my recent experience. Bottom line for me is I got a great price for my trade and a great deal on the vehicle I purchased. However, the service and sales tactics at Landmark are far from customer friendly , and likely don't bode well for a more passive buyer. Best of luck in dealing with the cast of characters at Landmark. There are deals to be had, but you will have to work for it. Now, onto my advice... 1. If you are not willing to walk away from the sale, they'll eat you alive. If you have a realistic price, and you stick to it, you are GOLDEN. 2. They will ask you to fill out paperwork or provide a down payment before the salesman even presents your offer (counter) to the sales manager. Flat out refuse - be willing to walk out. They are drawing you into the sales process. Tell them you don't have time to play stupid games. 3. Do not give them earnest $. They will say "We need to know you are serious." Tell them, "If I was not serious, would I be sitting here?" During one of my test drives, my salesman told me that the competition is so fierce on Noland Road that Landmark's main tactic is to get earnest $. Because once they have your $, you won't leave until you get it back. They use this tactic to keep you in the dealer to listen to their offers. Handing $ over to them puts them in control of the process. You are the buyer and should ALWAYS control the process. 4. When you an offer, give them your best offer and tell them you will not pay a penny more. Tell them if they can't meet your offer, they are wasting yours, and their time That effectively puts a stake in the ground for you and lets the dealer know your boundary. They will likely come back with several offers and complain that they are forced to keep making better offers. You can tell them that had they listened to you and not wasted everybody's time, they would have met your offer or let you walk right up front. Tell them their complaining is their own fault. If they want to sell a car, they need to get to your offer. If they can't, you need to walk. 5. When you make your offer, demand a full tank of gas (in your offer). Apparently, this dealer is notorious for giving you a car on "E" at delivery. That makes a buyer feel really good... 6. Don't be intimidated by the sales manager. He tried railroading me about how I was way off on my offer and how no dealer would give me what I wanted. I politely said, "I don't appreciate you speaking to me in this tone or in such a condescending way. I will just leave if you can't meet my offer." In fact, I even got up and started walking out when he said, "let me make a few calls to get a better idea on your trade." he then delayed further by saying he had to talk to the owner to see how much margin was built into the purchase price. Delays. During each delay, my original offer remained the same. 7. Don't get confused with all the numbers. They will put math equations all over their offer sheet to make it look like they are working hard. And they will write all over the offer sheet with huge black and red markers as if the bigger marker means they are doing a better job of cutting the price. Get real Landmark. Your use of these markers makes you look like my kindergartener. 8. If you have stuck to your price, and it's reasonable, they will eventually meet it - it may take a few hours. 9. Only agree to paperwork after an accepted offer. I followed all of these steps except #5 - I ran out of gas two blocks from the dealership. I coasted into a parking lot and walked a block to buy gas. I was furious at the dealer, but I have nobody to blame but myself. My salesman was Tom - only pushy up until I made it quite clear to him that I would walk if he was just going to push his sales tactics on me. The used car sales manager really tried acting like the big boss in between bites of his Arby's sandwich. Kind of hard to take a guy seriously when he has Arby's sauce dripping off his chin. Jody, the finance guy was condescending about how much I needed the warranty. He had a list of 100+ options for me to choose from and I kept politely saying no - which really frustrated him because he makes commission on the overpriced warranties. An extended warranty is not a bad thing. I bought the exact same extended warranty Jody was offering for half the price the following weekend. More
As a repeat customer, I had recently purchased my 4th vehicle at this dealership. Long story short, I was not happy with the vehicle I purchased 4 months prior. I called up my saleman Chris Jones, expl vehicle at this dealership. Long story short, I was not happy with the vehicle I purchased 4 months prior. I called up my saleman Chris Jones, explained my situation and made an appointment to return to discuss my options. Chris my salesman was very patient and informative. He was able to answer all of my questions and address all of my concerns. At no time in this process did I ever feel like I was being hurried along, everyone involved was extremely helpful in helping me find a car that I would be happy with. In the end, I had a pleasant car buying experience and I left with a vehicle that made me smile. More
From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted and taken care of. Tom was very friendly, honest and not pushy. He listened to what we said we wanted and didn't try to sell us something else! Which was taken care of. Tom was very friendly, honest and not pushy. He listened to what we said we wanted and didn't try to sell us something else! Which was awesome because we were very sure of what we were wanting to get. If he didn't know the answer to a question, he was honest and said he didn't know and then went and found out what the answer was. We appreciated that because we had been lied to before by other sales reps trying to make a sale on a car. we appreciated the quickness and thoroughness of the whole staff and Tom made sure we were handed over to the right people at the right times without any long waits. We are enjoying our new car and feel confident that we will be shopping with you all again! Thankyou Tom for making it a great experience!! Lee & Satinka Ross More
We came to the dealership to purchase a new Chrysler and were met with courteous, helpful, friendly employees. This was our third time buying a vehicle with the dealer. I actually read the reviews for the service center before I took my car there again. They are all spot on! The first time waiting a full day for a small repair might have been a fluke but an even worse exper I took my car there again. They are all spot on! The first time waiting a full day for a small repair might have been a fluke but an even worse experience the second time, I think not. As the others have posted they act like they are doing you a favor by taking your money or doing warranty work. No service adviser knows what the others are doing, they all talk to you like you are a moron, making you wait is common place, no one cares. Glenn appears to be the senior adviser or manager, this is the kind of guy I want to punch in the face when he talks. Overpriced of course it is a dealership but that is where you must go at times for warranty work and recalls. I can not complain about the repairs done, there has been no evidence yet of poor quality. More

We drove 190 miles to see this dealership and a Wrangler we had seen on the web. We were received enthusiastically by Tom O'Brien, who proceeded to show us not only the Jeep we were interested in, but a wh we had seen on the web. We were received enthusiastically by Tom O'Brien, who proceeded to show us not only the Jeep we were interested in, but a whole list of comparable Jeeps. He was very attentive and informative, but did not pressure us in any way. In fact he encouraged us to take our time and said more than once that he was there to "work for us". He worked with us on the price to get it down where we could feel good about it. Tom is exactly the kind of salesperson we like to deal with. He is real and trustworthy. Others at Landmark were good as well. Chad helped us choose some after market accessories. I thought that was a very clever and a welcome service for a dealership to have. Bill in finance was also a person who answered a lot of questions and made us feel very comfortable as we signed a big check. More than one Landmark employee greeted us even though we didn't work with them or know them in any way. We were congratulated by more than one after we bought our Wrangler. We'll definitely check out Landmark for any future purchases, and tell our friends. More
This dealership is very sketchy. After some confusion regarding the contract, which I think I have figured out now, I now find out I owe an additional $4000 because they never charged me sales tax. I'm i regarding the contract, which I think I have figured out now, I now find out I owe an additional $4000 because they never charged me sales tax. I'm in Kansas and I bought the car in Missouri and they failed to mention this important fact. Not only do I have a car payment which is more than I want, but livable, I owe the state of Kansas $4000.... I'm pissed. Be very weary of advertisements you see on the internet because they have a great way of inflating that price once you get in the door. To be honest? I wouldn't walk in the door. More
When I bought the car, everything went smooth and I was very satisfied. After like two weeks my transmission went out. I was told when I bought the car that it had power train warranty. After my transmissi very satisfied. After like two weeks my transmission went out. I was told when I bought the car that it had power train warranty. After my transmission went out I called Chevrolet and they told me that in fact I did not have the powertrain warranty. I took the car back to Landmark and they took care of me. They gave me a car to use while mine was being fixed at no cost to me. This was greatly appreciated and I highly recommend taking your business to Landmark! More
