Went in looking to price trading in a Benz E550 for a Range, got a cursory hello when i walked in from a passing employee but no one asked if i needed help, if i needed to talk to anyone. Spent about 10 min walking around and looking at various new and used models, taking photos, reading window sticker sand comparing prices and options of what was there. Still no service! If your a younger (20s) buyer, they dont think your serious, or worth their time apparently! More
I brought my Rover into this dealership to be serviced and they took over a month and a half to contact me; I don't know any service department that takes this long to report back to their customers. In addition, I had a wedding gift in the backseat that was ripped open. I called and voiced this to the manager and he said he was sorry which I appreciated but still it was a very very disappointing experience all around, with the exception of the manager who I thought was very nice. I found the personnel here to be very smug. They kept telling me that they were so great and their customer service was so fantastic and how everyone loves them. It was all too much. I also didn't find them very accommodating to what I needed in terms of timing and structure. Finally, when it came to price, they gave me a number and then wouldn't budge. I went to another dealer and got the same car for a slightly better price. It was, however, more inconvenient for me. They threatened that if I bought the car at another dealer then they couldn't offer me the same level of service as those who purchased directly from them. Of course, Field's has every right to sell cars at whatever price they want, but as a customer I wouldn't expect to get the sharpest pricing here. Not the best pricing and lots of attitude. Really the opposite of the family atmosphere described in the other posts. More

I reached out to Land Rover Winnetka and spoke with Ballard (a salesperson) and not only did he tell me about the car I asked about, but let me know about a car that they had just received (which was the vehicle I ultimately purchased). I left for a family vacation for a week and upon my return called Ballard. He remembered our previous conversations and invited me to test drive the car. I came in and bought the Sport that day. My objective was a hassle free, fair and quick negotiation. In this, Land Rover Winnetka excelled. Everyone from the manager to the finance department to the people I was introduced to in service were terrific. I would not hesitate to buy from this dealership again. More

He answered all my husbands questions, sent us pictures, took my brother for a test ride (He lives in Chicago, we live in PA). Took a minimum deposit, picked my husband up at the airport on his day off and drove him to the dealership and waited with my husband until the sale was completed. He then filled the car up with gas as my husband was driving back to PA. He called the next day to see if my husband liked the car and if there were any problems. My husband told him there was no manual for the car and the front floor mats were generic and not factory BMW. Ballard said he would take care of this. Within a week we had a new manual and a complete set of BMW floormats. We have purchased several cars, boats, and motorcycles over the years but have never had a salesman or dealership treat us with this much TLC. We will consider Land Rover Winnetka first the next time we need to purchase a car. Thanks again Ballard!! More

Friendly service, very accommodating. I love the mom and pop atmosphere, everyone treats you like family. I like that they perform a complimentary vehicle inspection on every visit. Land Rover Winnetka is one of those places which just feels like home. There is no "high pressure sales" or "boiler room mentality" when you enter this fine establishment. From the word go, it is all about Customer Service the minute you step in to the second you leave. The staff is fun, friendly and engaging. When we purchased our 2005 Range Rover, we brought our two kids in (Nicholas is 4 and Muriel is 2)and the staff was friendly, having fun, and genuinely sensitive to the needs of our family. Jim placed the car seats into our Range Rover and took them out of our LR3. Ed and Andrew were wonderful with the kids and it just was an outstanding experience! In addition to loving the Land Rover brand, you buy from people. It is people at this dealership which makes it such a great experience. The Fields Group has a "gem" in this dealership, they have great employees which make it happen, day in and day out. More
