I have purchased 7 vehicles from Kevin in the past, and honestly one or two of them we had some issues. Everytime Kevin had our backs, anything to make us happy, even if it was out of his own pocket. My sons have also made purchases through Kevin and left very satisfied. I always realize when purchasing a used vehicle some issues may arise, its used not new. Thank you Kevin for what you do and keep pluggin away !!! More

And let’s just say, I won’t be going anywhere else anytime soon! Kevin and the dealership made it such a quick, and easy process. They are loyal, patient, and have empathy! My boyfriend and I are satisfied for the 2nd time now! Thanks Kevin!! More

With the stress of HAVING to replace our vehicle, Kunes staff came to the rescue and really worked with us going the extra mile to bring vehicles from afar that we could test for our needs. After a couple tries, we finally found the one. Now, the dreaded portion-price negotiation! Without hesitation, a fair price was met and we drove away with a smile. Thank you Kunes, we will be back! There was a good back and forth, and obviously no dealer wants you to leave the store without buying anything, even if only taking a few days for consideration on a vehicle you test drove. Staff was very friendly for the most part. Near the end during consideration of a deal, salesman got irritated and was not nearly as pleasant as several of the prior days. However, an agreement was reached, and I feel that I got a decent deal on a pre-owned vehicle when all was said and done. Perhaps it was just a bad day for the staff. More

We were very impressed with the aggressive pricing and decided to go look in person. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and treated like family. After a test drive and looking through the carfax we knew we had found our vehicle. The service was quick and very easy. All questions were answered honestly and promptly. We were treated with respect and a friendliness that reassured us we had made the right choice. We have already referred our friends and family! We also look forward to another vehicle purchase from them in the future! If you are looking for quality service and great prices, look no further! More
Typical car salesman lies I owned my own custom engine shop in California back in the 80's and am VERY experienced when it comes to engines and mechanics on a car. That said I I owned my own custom engine shop in California back in the 80's and am VERY experienced when it comes to engines and mechanics on a car. That said I had been looking for a car to replace my diesel Volkswagen and was fed up calling on ads off Craigslist and talking to Illegal Mexican aliens who came to the U.S. and are working as "wholesalers", using their dealer-buddy's dealer's license, so I went to Kunes after a friend told me about a former Whiteside County Sheriff's squad car they had. Dealing with an older guy named "Kevin" I was told that the 2012 Impala I was looking at "had just been checked out by (their) shop". I took the car for a 3 or 4 mile test drive and determined that the tires on the car were pretty much junk. The rear ones howled like a wolf barking at the moon and the front ones were, in a word, toast. Other than the tires it drove good and I felt I could trust "Kevin's" word, because this IS a franchised Chevrolet dealer, selling a 2012 Impala. Almost exactly a week later the "checked-out" car developed a metal-to-metal noise in the right front brake, so I took it home, jacked it up, and removed the tire, only to see that the brake pads were nonexistent and running metal-to-metal against the brake rotor!!! NOT a situation you would want someone in your family to be caught in. This happened after putting MAYBE 200-255 miles at the most, on the car!!!! I must elaborate on this by saying that there is NO way anyone checked this car out. How any responsible Chevrolet dealer would allow a car with NO brakes on the front axle to be sold to the public is beyond "irresponsible". But whats' equally amazing is that, because of their location to the Sheriff's office, I have reason to believe that this Whiteside County patrol car was purchased AND maintained there at Kunes and that the shop people at Kunes actually allowed a sheriff's deputy to drive this thing (past it's last oil change) with brake pads that were, literally, 1/16 of an inch thick!!! And I'm keeping them in case anyone wants to see them. Keep in mind that a 2012 Impala Police Interceptor is capable of reaching 149 miles per hour!!!!I So I bought some new Wagner brake pads at Oreilly's and had the rotors turned to eliminate the scratches on them, and put it back together. But according to my salesman "Kevin" this car had been (quoting" through our shop and was all checked out). What I think he meant was that the car just had the oil changed and when the guy was done he drove it through the shop and waved at everyone there!!!! Oh and how about that missing inside rear view mirror, Kevin? It was missing when I bout the car with the explanation that it "was at the county garage and they are looking for it". I called him about 6 days later, only to hear the same story! I know that if I was selling cars at a Chevy dealer and MY customer bought a car from me, that I would march my butt into the parts department, pay for it myself, and grab an Allen wrench to install it for my customer. Fortunately for me, I have a friend who owns a junkyard and will get a used mirror from an old truck he has and solve the missing mirror problem MYSELF. 1. Would I buy another car from ANY Kunes store? HEII NO!!! Are you kidding? Not a chance in you-know-where!!! 2. Is Kunes' Salesman "Kevin" an honest and forthright individual? Maybe when donkey's fly!!! 3. Would I EVER take a car to Kunes to be serviced or to be worked on? Not if I had to have the car towed to another dealer and not even if that dealer was 100 miles from Kunes!!!! CONTINUED IN NEXT REVIEW.................. Signed: clseller1@comcast.net More

Warren as my sales contact. my only disappointment was w/ the minor probs. w/ the car itself. why no air: ad said auto temp control? why controls that don't work? defects like exhaust getting close to it's time, minor leaks in gaskets, et.al. are to be expected. And if add-ons exist, how about some instruction on how to use. i have one switch i still have not figured out. All in all, i am most pleased w/ everyone there. i would be hard pressed to name a dealership that has treated me better, especially sight unseen. Thank You again, Dick Warren !!! to be as satisfied as i am in dealing outside my own state. when i get over that way, i fully intend to stop in to visit to become acquainted w/ everyone there. More
