Not only did Steve Arnold get me into the perfect truck for me, the staff behind the financial end worked wonders for me... but on top of that Chis Ford (tech) made my week!!! Love him!! It was important for me to have a canopy - most canopies take four weeks to be prepared and I didn't have four weeks to wait. Chris took my old canopy and manipulated it to 'fit' my new truck until I can get back home to get a new one. It allowed me to get back on the road quicker and that meant everything to me. What a GREAT GROUP OF PEOPLE!!! Highly recommend them to anyone! More
Aggressive Salespeople, Be Prepared! I can't say I've ever had a more aggressive negotiation before at a car dealership than I did at Koons Sterling Ford. I found this vehicle (2010 Chevy I can't say I've ever had a more aggressive negotiation before at a car dealership than I did at Koons Sterling Ford. I found this vehicle (2010 Chevy Colorado Crewcab) via AutoTrader, and traveled 2 hours to see it. I also brought my mechanic along with me to view the truck to ensure I wasn't about to buy another problem vehicle (already went through 2 vehicles in under 3 years). I called to schedule coming in to see the truck, which Glen answered the call and planned to take care of me. Arrived, walked around and test drove the truck, found it to be in superior condition. It was also an excellent priced in comparison to other similar year/model/mileage trucks. The aggressive negotiation started when I was given a terribly lowball offer on my trade. 2004 Ranger, was offered $1250. I declined, because NADA/KBB state i could easily sell it between $7500-9000 on the street. As I walked out of the dealership to leave, I was CHASED down by Glen, and (unfortunately never caught the name of) a second salesman who came over and starts throwing numbers down, offering $2000 for my Ranger. Another decline, they continue to pressure me with "Just pay the taxes on it. You can write an $800 check right??" I decided to grab lunch instead, only to return and see that Glen was literally guarding my old vehicle and preventing me from just leaving. After being offered $3100, I countered with my hometown dealership already quoting me $4200 on trade, which was not only matched, but I also received the tires off my Ranger and put on my newly purchased Colorado. I was preapproved for a low interest loan from my local credit union prior to arriving at the dealership, but I consented to them doing a credit check with their banks to be beat. That's where Michael could not beat the lower interest my credit union quoted, but still insisted I went with their higher rate "to just get business over with." Not sure why they thought I would choose the higher interest rate from a bank that's located 2 hours from home, but I declined and went with my credit union. Thankfully I had my mechanic with me and stood my ground with number negotiations, because after being chased-after in a parking lot and having my old vehicle guarded so I was forced into further negotiations, I talked a $1250 trade into a $4200 trade and got to keep my much newer tires and had them installed on my newly purchased Colorado. The truck is in excellent condition, and has been a much smoother, more reliable ride, so I will admit that Koons Sterling Ford does in fact have high quality used vehicles. As I would recommend family/friends to view their lot, I would warn them to be aware of the aggressive negotiation tactics (to which Glen did mentions 'he was one of the easier guys to deal with') and do your research before arriving, on both your trade and what you're buying. I can't say that I would personally return to this dealership unless they had a very specific vehicle I was shopping for, but I am satisfied with my purchase. More

Steve Arnold at Koons Sterling ultimately earned my business because he was easy to work with. He wasn't pushy, but was thorough and willing to work with me. The entire staff was helpful throughout the process. After coming to a verbal deal, there were no surprises at all. In the end, the great price and customer service led to a great car buying experience. I am happy with my purchase and feel that koons sterling has become my dealer for life. More
