My key had broken apart from being dropped on the floor. Lex took care of it putting the key back together again and suggesting I get the protective case. Excellent service and I appreciated it. I have been going to this dealer for 11+ years. They always take such great care of me and my car(s). They never tell me I need something I don't and always tell me if there is something I do need. Definitely can't say enough great things about Koons Toyota Annapolis and their staff. I started out one Saturday afternoon in March to look at an Acura at the dealership up the street. The sales pers Toyota Annapolis and their staff. I started out one Saturday afternoon in March to look at an Acura at the dealership up the street. The sales person had called me with two options based on my request and suggested I come by to see the two different vehicles. When I got there he was assisting someone else, he looked right at me but didn't acknowledge me at all, and left me standing in the parking lot for 30 minutes. No one even offered to unlock the cars to let me look inside. While I was walking around their parking lot I saw a used Avalon. Right then I decided to get in my car and drive a couple doors down to Koons Toyota. Lev Lewis greeted me with a smile and the conversation was as easy as if I had known him for years. We discussed used Avalons, though there weren't any on the lot, and he offered to check their "sister" dealers to see if what I was looking for might be available at another location. Lev spent several days looking for the perfect car for me - I had very specific requests about interior color, amenities/options and of course, price. I knew what I wanted and he was willing to work hard to find it for me. Lev kept in touch with me thru every step of his research process. Then, I got the call - the perfect car had just arrived at their Westminster location. If I was interested, he would have the car brought to Annapolis the next day so I could look at it. It was a done deal. I loved the car, it had everything I wanted and then some and the price was right. Lev took such special care of me and my request for a car that I would recommend him to ANYONE that wants to purchase a used car. He is top-notch, fantastic, awesome and a fabulous person! So, I waited until now to submit my review as I wanted to experience the service department and write about both - the purchase and the service. I took my car two days ago to the service department for a small repair, and the scheduled maintenance service. WOW - they are great to deal with. Everyone was extremely helpful, they took me right away, they called me several times throughout the process to keep me posted on what needed to happen, how long it would take and how much it would cost. Seriously - they deserve every customer service excellence award they receive. I couldn't ask for a better experience with Koons Toyota Annapolis. More
Brandon was a fantastic person to deal with. I didn't feel like I was working with the typical car salesman. He was very patient with me test driving the manual transmission and stalling a few times. He feel like I was working with the typical car salesman. He was very patient with me test driving the manual transmission and stalling a few times. He was very sincere and polite. Also very respectful. By far the best person I have ever dealt with at a car dealership. Danny was also very polite and helpful. He gave us a great deal and did everything in his power to make the experience good. Jeff in the financing department, was, unfortunately the one bad egg. Had it not been for Brandon and this dealership being the only one with the car I wanted, I would have left immediately after dealing with him. He talked down to me and pretty much talked to my mother like she was the one getting a new car. She may have co signed for it, but I made the down payment and I am paying for it. He was also very single minded and snappy when we asked him a question about something we did not understand. My father got so irritated with his attitude that we had to step outside while my mother dealt with Jeff. Everyone else was fantastic, especially Brandon, but I hope to never deal with someone so belittling as Jeff again. More
About 18 months ago, I ran over something in California that mangled the front bumper on my 2005 Solara. As I was unemployed at the time, I lived with it. I moved to Annapolis about a year ago, and bein that mangled the front bumper on my 2005 Solara. As I was unemployed at the time, I lived with it. I moved to Annapolis about a year ago, and being a bit caught up financially, I decided to check with State Farm about a repair. I was delighted to learn that this dealership was a preferred service provider (Service First). I brought the car by last Friday (June 3, 2011), precisely a week ago, and Dave Lomboy took a look at it. I was concerned that it might be charged against my policy as collision rather than comprehensive. Dave said it was unlikely as he saw no evidence of a collision. We scheduled the repair for Monday and Tuesday. Dave gave me the number for Enterprise for a rental. My State Farm agent furnished the claim number. The car was ready Tuesday afternoon. Dave told me that State Farm was calling it collision. I called the 800 number for State Farm and didn't get a satisfactory reply. I called my agent the next day, but he was in meetings all day and finally called me at 7 pm. By then, based on our conversations, Dave had taken the initiative to call State Farm. He had the photo documentation to show that it was not a collision, even though the car they wanted to inspect had already been repaired. Since my CA policy had a zero deductible for comprehensive, I paid nothing out of pocket except $15 for a 3-day car rental. Dave did a better job for me than my State Farm agent's office. His initiative went above and beyond. Had I been dissatisfied, I would have let the dealer ownership know--as it was I told them what I am writing in this review. More
chris starr was knowledgeable about the car and all the features. He was able to answer any questions i had. He also reviewed the features like Toyota care and road service. I needed additional teaching features. He was able to answer any questions i had. He also reviewed the features like Toyota care and road service. I needed additional teaching re: more comfortably learning the differences in how the hybrid car worked compared to non-hybrid. I was locked out of my car and needed road service to open the car, and Chris was able to arrange immediate assistance. Most important to me was that I did not feel pressured to buy the car. I was given the information I needed to make the decision to purchase the car. I was surprised how high the interest was on my car loan; I had purchased a used toyota last year and my interest was only 3.5%. More
My son unfortunately bought a used Toyota (not from Koons) that turned out to be a “lemon”. I have been going to Koons Annapolis Toyota Scion since 1994 so suggested he take his car there to be evalu Koons) that turned out to be a “lemon”. I have been going to Koons Annapolis Toyota Scion since 1994 so suggested he take his car there to be evaluated. Wayne Lopez immediately recognized the challenge of a struggling 20 something and kept the service fee low while also offering candid advise on possible options. This was the first of about ½ dozen trips in less than 4 weeks and each time Wayne worked with my son on options and kept the costs down. The final chapter on this frustrating hard lesson learned purchase has not been written; but my loyalty to Koons Annapolis Toyota Scion has been cemented and I believe my son will be a loyal Toyota customer for all future cars. How refreshing to know you can trust a dealership to provide solid good maintenance advise and service while striving to keep costs reasonable (and even offering options elsewhere i.e. tires if their costs are too high). I would never go anyplace else. My own car is a Camry (which I bought from Koons 6 years ago) with 140,000 miles that I will keep and drive until Wayne, Lex or Kevin say it’s on its last leg and time to trade in; because I know that is exactly what they will do. You will not be disappointed if you go to Koons Annapolis Toyota Scion. More
Kevin to me represented Koons and Koons represents Toyota. Kevin was extremely polite. He listened to what I had to say. He accommodated me in a manner I did not expect. He told me my car needed a par Toyota. Kevin was extremely polite. He listened to what I had to say. He accommodated me in a manner I did not expect. He told me my car needed a part, but the part wouldn't be there until the afternoon. He knew I worked at night. He offered me a loaner to go home, get some rest and come back later that evening (before 8:00 pm) or the following morning. He also worked with me extremely well in maintaining the total amount of my bill. His personality made everything even more appealing. Kevin is a very special employee whom I look forward to working with again. More
