A thanks to Immanuel who was the only one to help me at my visit to Koons Toyota Annapolis and said he extended his stay to help me test drive a new Prius. No thanks to anyone else on the floor or especia my visit to Koons Toyota Annapolis and said he extended his stay to help me test drive a new Prius. No thanks to anyone else on the floor or especially to Jim who answered my initial phone call. As a team Koons made me feel very unwanted in the dealership and very much a second class visitor- not recommended for customer service. I called ahead to Koons Annapolis to see if Koons was open despite the snow and if had any Priuses available to show. I was passed to Jim in Toyota sales and he said yes to come by as the roads were clear and I said I would visit at 1145. Our entire discussion was less than 60 seconds. When I arrived there were 3 employees on the sales floor, and a receptionist. When i asked for Jim I was told he had just left but would be back. One of the people on the floor offered to catch jim but missed him and told me to have a seat and wait. I asked if he knew where Jim was or how long I would have to wait and was just told Jim would return. I asked when Jim would return and was told only that he would, but they did not know when. I asked the receptionist when Jim might return she didn't know. I then ask if someone could help me? She made no response. I asked loudly if someone wanted to sell me a car today and nobody spoke up. The incident shows great disrespect for my time as i called ahead and made a special trip in the snow and felt I had an appointment. why did nobody offer to help? I was calling the next Toyota dealer on my cell phone on my way out the door When Immanuel stood up to ask me if I had talked to Jim. Not if he could answer my questions or help but if I had talked to Jim. I explained my call and as we were talking Jim returned. Then Immanuel asked Jim if he would be able to help me. They talked for another minute to two and I exclaimed again Doesn't anyone want to sell me a car today?" Eventually Jim said he had his lunch waiting and he would like Immanuel to take care of me. My entire first 10 minutes nobody talked to me about a car or my needs and i was within earshot of 2-3 unoccupied personnel. It shows the sales force is not focused on customer service. Making an eager and ready buyer wait without taking the opportunity to engage them in any way is not only an immediate loss but can be perceived negatively even after the event. How hard would it have been to offer me a brochure while waiting, or provide a new appointment time, or actually answer my initial questions? A customer who is eager to buy a new car and says so-- should be assisted in doing so with dispatch and without demur. Immanuel gave me a test drive in a Prius and followed up later But while I really liked the car, I was not comfortable going back to Koons to give them my money even though they had the only Prius in the model and color I wanted! Fortunately right down the street there was a different dealership that was focussed on customer service and i liked their helpfulness and positive attitude. So much so they influenced my decision and helped I me to find a suitable car from their existing inventory instead of driving away in a new Prius. Too bad for the environment ......and too bad for Koons and their mode of operations. Immanuel will not get coal for his Christmas stocking but the rest of the team should. More

Before making the app 12-20-13 I Arrived at Koons Annapolis Toyota 15 minutes early for an appointment with Greg Jordan to buy a 2013 Avalon Limited. Before making the appointment I discussed my trade, an almost new (4K mile) 2013 Mercedes Benz. I also provided him with the VIN and other pertinent information so we could complete a deal easily. I brought my title, check book, cash and trade with me. Mr. Jordan was helpful but his manager did not know how to appraise my 2013 Mercedes trade in. Several stories and almost 3 hours later Mr. Jordan finally said they would get an appraisal finalized and call me the next morning (Thursday 12-19-13). They did not call so on Thursday afternoon I sent an email message but received a form response thanking me for my interest in buying from Koons Toyota. It is now Friday (12-20-13) afternoon and no communication so I tried to call Mr. Jordan but was directed to voicemail. Still no response. This was to be my fourth new car from Koons Toyota but this is an unacceptable and disrespectful way to treat a repeat customer. Actually not acceptable for any customer; repeat or first time. I had one simple request when I first placed my RFI, not to be called. However it seems no one even bothered to read that as I received a call the same day before any email came in. Next I had only one qu to be called. However it seems no one even bothered to read that as I received a call the same day before any email came in. Next I had only one question I wanted answered: "Why the vehicle was priced more than 1k over KBB value?". First I was told I probably didn't input the information right. I would like to believe that several college degrees have made me proficient at inputing information into KBB.com and Edmunds.com. I have multiple sources citing the vehicle is overpriced by at least 1k and the best response I can get is "because of the vehicle condition. When you come in for a test drive we can discuss price." If they would have paid attention to the information I first provided they would know that it is an hour drive to them and I'm not going to come in until a simple question can be answered with real answer. I live in Connecticut and was visiting my daughter in Deale for Thanksgiving. I drove down to MD on Tues, 11/26 (during pouring rain). After arriving, I didn't open the car until Fri, 11/29. And what t Deale for Thanksgiving. I drove down to MD on Tues, 11/26 (during pouring rain). After arriving, I didn't open the car until Fri, 11/29. And what to my surprise...there was a good 1/2 inch of water (with a slight coating of ice) on the floor of the front passenger side. My daughter and I both tried to figure out where it came from but were unable to do so. We had plans to go out for the day so while out I contacted 1-800 # for Toyota asking them where the closest dealer was to us. It was Coon's. I called them and was connected with the Service Manager, Leo Gabella. Explained the situation to him. Leo thought the issue was the sun roof drain(s). I made arrangements to drop my RAV 4 off at the end of the day Friday so they could have it overnight for service on Saturday. Leo called me Sat morning and indicated that it was in fact the drain, actually both drains were stopped up causing the water to back up onto the floor. He asked for a few hours more so they could continue drying out the carpet. They cleaned the drains out (they're tiny), replaced a spring on the sun roof, vacuumed out the water on the floor and now were doing their best to dry it out. We picked it up before closing and Leo related how this type of thing can happen. When I asked for the bill, he indicated that there would be no charge. Wow! I was surprised and grateful. If I lived in that area, I would most certainly take my car to Coons for service. And it isn't just because of the no charge. Everyone I spoke with was friendly, kind and gracious. Their service and willingness to allow me to bring in the car on my time schedule was very much appreciated. For those of you who live in the area, you're fortunate to have a dealership with such great service. My daughter even said when it comes time to replace her car, she'll consider Coons. My thanks again to Leo and staff. More
I was in search of the new 2014 Toyota Avalon. After several attempts with other dealers I finally found Koons. On the websites they all showed that the 2014 was available but when I contacted Koons, Ma several attempts with other dealers I finally found Koons. On the websites they all showed that the 2014 was available but when I contacted Koons, Margo called me back. I found out that no dealer at the 2014 models on their lots at this time. The 2014 had not been released yet but some dealers won't tell you that. I met with her the next day during my lunch break, since I work in the area, Margo showed me the 2013 model with what I was looking for. The exterior color (Attitude Black Metallic) was different but the interior was the color that I was looking for and she did tell me that she could get the color - "Sizzling Crimson" that I was looking for from one of the sister dealerships. But when she showed me the car she had for me to look at, I like this one so much more. I told her that I would be bringing my spouse back after work to look at the car. We test drove and Margo did a great job in working out a deal with us for purchasing the car. She is a great salesperson and did a wonderful job. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking at buying a Toyota. I should have contacted Koons first and saved myself the hassle with all of the other dealers. Margo knew exactly what I was looking for when I told her what I was looking for. The buying process was quick and easy. We had already gotten a loan through our credit union. The Finance Department did a great job as well. All the paperwork was prepared in a timely manner especially since it was getting close to closing. Everyone took their time with us to make sure that everything was in order. I highly recommend Koons Toyota of Annapolis and will definitely purchase my next vehicle through them. This is my second Avalon that I have owned. My husband has my 2005 Avalon which is still in great condition. We will definitely revisit Koons for our next purchase. More

Mr. Jordan was the one of two good things about this dealership. This was my third purchase from Koons and is the absolute LAST! Everything (except Mr.Jordan programming my phone to the car) was dealership. This was my third purchase from Koons and is the absolute LAST! Everything (except Mr.Jordan programming my phone to the car) was horrible. What a bunch of liars and game players. I will rate the sales person, but as far as I am concerned, her other raters must be relatives. I found her to be one of the most condescending people it has been my misfortune to ever have to deal. She listened to my requirements and found the exact vehicle we wanted. When we arrived at the dealership the vehicle was out front ready for our test drive. Kalyn was friendly, courteous and especially made my wife feel comfortable in the buying process. At no time was she pushy and gave us plenty of time to ourselves to discuss the purchase, even suggesting that if we were not sure to postpone the purchase. Sisto the Finance Director was a whiz with the paper work and made the transition from one vehicle to another a fast and painless process. On top of the great service I got the best trade-in for my used Avalon when compared to offers from 2 other dealers in the area. Follow up from Kalyn and other staff members was prompt and a nice touch. Overall we had a great experience at Koons Toyota - thanks More

Emanuel Persaud is an excellent Sales Professional. He explained all the new features and the efforts that Toyota has done for the safety of their new car owners. The only thing that I was disappointed wi explained all the new features and the efforts that Toyota has done for the safety of their new car owners. The only thing that I was disappointed with was I only had my Sequoia for 10 months and I did not get what I thought was a good trade-in price. It was lower than the pay off price on my vehicle. This did NOT reflect Emanuel Persaud's professional standing. I rate him on a scale from 1 to 10 a 15. He is an excellent salesman. I was told many years ago that Toyota held it's cars value. This was not my experience at all with my Highlander and my Sequoia. More
