Ford F350 6.4 Diesel towed in for a Key Lock Out problem, Told that the PCM was bad and would cost $1,100 to $1,250 to fix. I asked it this was covered by the $2K Ford Protection Plan purchase through F Told that the PCM was bad and would cost $1,100 to $1,250 to fix. I asked it this was covered by the $2K Ford Protection Plan purchase through Ford, they check and said it was, (GREAT) the BAD NEWS is the PCM was on national back order and it could be 6 months before I got my truck back!. I used my sources and purchase a NEW PCM original Ford Part from a Ford dealer in SW Fla that I have used for years. They had the part in stock! Took the new PCM to King Ford they were shocked but said great and was to program it to my VIN number. Next day the Service Department called and with some excuse that they could not program the PCM and that I was on my own to find someone to program the NEW ORIGINAL FORD PCM. I did find a shop to program it however it cost $900 to have them do what should have as I was told covered by the Ford Protection Plan. So I have the purchase price cost of the PCM from a Florida Dealer at a total cost of $1,200 out of my pocket plus the $106 that I paid King Ford and tow towing charges of ($75 and $80) for a total out of pocket of $1,461 of my money! Now remember they told me this was covered by the Ford Protection Plan but King Ford Service could not do the programing. Sure did not leave a very good taste in my mouth with King Ford Service. I will be contacting the Ford Protection directly to try to get some satisfaction from them on the out of pocket costs. Jason Dickerson More

I have been a customer for about 2 years now, and each time I've needed assistance , the service dept. has been excellent. They have gotten me in quickly, and serviced my car in a timely manner. The servi time I've needed assistance , the service dept. has been excellent. They have gotten me in quickly, and serviced my car in a timely manner. The service staff have been professional and courteous. and kind beyond expectation. In October, I desperately needed to rent a van for an emergency and Karen went above and beyond to find one available. I cannot thank her and the staff, enough for helping me. I will continue to be a loyal customer. More
While my past service department experiences have resulted in satisfactory results, I have noticed a trend when checking in and checking out my vehicle. The service desk clerks are not the most welc resulted in satisfactory results, I have noticed a trend when checking in and checking out my vehicle. The service desk clerks are not the most welcoming people and I get the feeling that they are doing me a favor when dropping off my truck for service. The service is not as bad as a typical DMV office, but it is also no where near the Chick-Fil-A level either. Also, when I pick up my vehicle the service desk clerk just tells me it is ready and hands me the service ticket to go pay at the window. I've never had an initial explanation of what the service they performed or what they found....never. I always have to ask for explanations. Again, their customer service skills could be greatly improved without much effort. More
Curtis the sales manager will lie to you about everything. If his mouth is open and he is stuttering, bobbing his head, and doing his little dance, he is lying to you about everything from your tr everything. If his mouth is open and he is stuttering, bobbing his head, and doing his little dance, he is lying to you about everything from your trade value, what your vehicle is worth at dealer auction, to what he pays for new vehicles. I have bought a dozen new vehicles in my day and he is like dealing with a used car salesman in 1990. We used to buy three new vehicles from his dealer every other year, now we are going to buy three new vehicles annually from his competitor who treats us right on clean trade-in value. I have forty years ahead of me to tell thousands of people why they shouldn't buy from this dealer. Used car values are sky high at the auction right now and dealers are paying the equivalent of clean trade at the auction. Do not accept a wholesale price for your trade! Look just around the corner. There is a dealer who won't lie to you and will give you a legit trade-in value. More
I bought vehicle that was used. As I was driving off lot I heard strange noises from engine and vehicle would not accelerate. I did a U turn and returned to salesperson and explained the issue. Was told by I heard strange noises from engine and vehicle would not accelerate. I did a U turn and returned to salesperson and explained the issue. Was told by Service manager that all diesels made that particular noise and that lack of acceleration was normal. He explained. That cos I was not used to diesel that I wouldn’t understand. Foolishly I drove it back to CT. When I got there I went to a Ford garage with the warranty that King Ford sold me and wanted the vehicle examined. This dealership told me that the warranty was useless and void because King Ford should not have sold it to me as my vehicle was too old to qualify. I took it to another garage and they confirmed that the turbo was shot and FICM was not drawing enough bolts. I called King Ford and asked them to pay for repair to turbo only. CurtisKing told me “as is, where is” means just that and that they were not going to help me. It didn’t matter that I brought the issue to their attention before I left the lot. I’ve written complaints to the Better Business Bureau, North Carolina Dept of Justice and other entities. I feel King Ford took advantage of me because I knew nothing about Diesel engines, I had flown down from CT to buy the vehicle and I needed to return home that day. They also told me that they would do. An inspection on vehicle to make sure it was in excellent condition and that an oil/filter change would be done. I removed oil and filter when I got to CT and have photos, which I presented to the above agencies, showing it as black as coal... Shame on King Ford... More
