I'm going to keep this short. Kia of Valencia is the reason I don't drive commodity cars. I have countless text messages from Jessenya, Bruce, and C Brower about how the program works, they get people such as myself approved all the time and when can I come down. Emphasis on the "When can I come down" I explained numerous times I can't come down unless I have a hard approval as it's a 100 dollar uber ride to and from. Nonetheless, they kept pushing the idea. C Brower finally pulled my credit (If this is a "your job is your credit") program, why do you need to run my credit. So the answer was a no go for the approval. I knew that because I was transparent about the identity theft. So when I asked why do they market it as your job is your credit, they claim it runs aside the job. Which basically is how the traditional way of buying a car is. You pick the car, they take proof of income, residency, and ID. It's not a Your job is your credit program. It's the traditional way of buying a car and the "Job is Credit" Scam b/s is to get you down there. Carmax has better tactics than this. Also if you have good credit, stop buying cars from these dealers that add all these extra to the sticker price. Go to BMW or Mercedes, get a service loaner for the same price as a K5 and move on. I needed a big EV SUV and thats why i'm here. Update, I got a 2022 BMW X7 with a warranty from carmax. What one dealership won't do, another will. I have pictures and proof if you want to email me. I had a very disappointing experience with Kia of Valencia, and I would not recommend this dealership based on how I was treated. The biggest issue was the lack of transparency from the BDC team. My BDC representative, Bruce, repeatedly told me things like, “Your job is your credit,” that they had the best lenders and sales managers, and that if they couldn’t get someone approved, “their doors wouldn’t be open.” Those statements gave me confidence that they had reviewed my situation and genuinely believed they could help. Instead, it felt like the only goal was to get me into the dealership. The first red flag was being told to ask for Bruce when I arrived, only to find out he doesn’t even work at that location. The second red flag was that the first vehicle they showed me wasn’t even the vehicle we had been discussing beforehand. What made the experience even more frustrating was that I was asked to send all of my documentation after I arrived. There was no reason I couldn’t have submitted everything electronically before making the one-hour drive. Instead, I spent my time sitting in the showroom emailing documents so the sales manager could print them and run the deal. That entire process could have been handled remotely and would have saved everyone time. The sales managers also lacked empathy. Rather than trying to work through options or retain a customer who came in with a significant down payment, the interaction felt dismissive. Once it became clear the deal wasn’t moving forward, communication from Bruce also stopped. I understand that dealerships can’t guarantee approvals and that lenders make the final decision. My frustration isn’t with not being approved—it’s with being given unrealistic expectations, asked to drive an hour under those expectations, and then having a process that could have been completed remotely. If you’re considering this dealership, I recommend getting everything reviewed and confirmed before making the drive.
