After driving my 2007 Ford Focus for 4 1/2 years and needing only one repair- which was under warranty, I thought I'd 'beat the odds': see if I could purchase a new car and get the 'no worry' once ag needing only one repair- which was under warranty, I thought I'd 'beat the odds': see if I could purchase a new car and get the 'no worry' once again along with it, BEFORE problems occurred. But I still owed money on the 2007. It was time for inspection anyway (and I was driving on the 'donut' wheel after a flat I'd gotten the Sunday before Labor Day) so September 7th was the first chance I had to visit the Library Road dealership. Rocky Bodzer had sent me his card and left a telephone message the week before, so I called first and asked for Rocky. He told Wednesday was his day off, but he'd be happy to meet me and see what he could do. Long story short...... I left the dealership with the one 2012 Ford Focus they had on the lot. I was adamant about not wanting to pay more than a small bit beyond my current monthly payments. Rocky and the finance manager made it happen. They 'shopped' for the best rate for me (MUCH lower than my current percentage) did a credit check, then secured the lower rate as well as a rebate for my good credit that counted toward the bottom line. Not only that, the finance manager (sorry, I don't know his name, but he was NOT one of the high-pressure types one is used to dealing with, he was terrific) even did something I'd not thought about. He transferred the extended warranty I'd taken on my 2007 to my new 2012 car. I now have 5 years of COMPLETE warranty on everything. I am more than pleased. I LOVE my car, and can't say enough about the courtesy, patience, good humor and just plain decency that Rocky showed throughout. He's a wonderful, trustworthy salesman, and that's a rarity. I'd recommend the South Hills Kenny Ross dealership to anyone looking to find a car that suits their budget. (But they can also add a little 'pizzazz' to the mix. Without QUESTION, that 2012 Focus is a dream car, rated '10' for safety and performance.) In fact, everything about my experience with Kenny Ross has been a 10. Relocating to Pittsburgh from Italy, this is my first experience in car purchasing in US. George made it a good experience, considering also the difficulties he may have with my accent. I researched cars/dealers extensively on the internet and chose Kenny Ross because they had more Fiestas than others in the area. George Schmigel contacted me via voice mail. I was already on my way there, but his voice reassured me. He just seemed like a nice man. When I got there he was out so I walked around and met another salesman. To be quite honest, I was feeling uncomfortable and dishearteded and my father and I were going to leave for C Harper. As soon as George came back and we started talking everything changed. He was genuine and no-nonsense. He didnt promise me the moon or stars but gave me a good deal and made me feel like the choice was mine. He looked for cars to my needs and wants that were in other places and on trucks still on the road. He was so good, in fact, he impressed my grumpy italian father, who likes no one and will probably sell my dad his next car. I loved not feeling so pressured or taken advantage of because I am a woman who knows little about the important things of buying a car. (hence the grumpy italian father) I didnt need my dad while I was there. I felt in control and respected throughout and will recommend George Schmigel to any and all of my friends/family looking for a car. You guys would be crazy to let him go, cause without him that day...I wouldve been buying a Fiesta from C Harper. Lastly, I love my Fiesta. Its perfect for me. I give Monica 3 out 0f 5 points simply because we did buy a car from her, instead of walking out. She is brusque and we felt rushed at all times, and she gave the impression that we should be very apologetic a car from her, instead of walking out. I got tired of hearing how late she was getting after a point, and she was confused about what we wanted on more than one occasion. To her credit, she offers service with a smile, even when she's complaining about it. Everyone else at Kenny Ross that we interacted with were efficient. The lady dealing with finance was very helpful, and we would definitely recommend Kenny Ross to friends. More
