Unfortunately this is nothing less than Social Media Extortion. The Karp Auto Group is a family owned and operated car dealership for over 60 years on Long Island, New York. We pride ourselves in exceeding our customer's reasonable expectations. This individual owns a dance studio in Rockville Centre, NY. He bought a 2007 Kia Sorrento from others. He had an extended warranty and we replaced an engine head gasket in 2015. He only paid the $100 deductible. 14 months and over 7,000 miles later he had the engine replaced at another service station. He only now, over 3 years later, contends it was our fault. This was after he received a $1,000 goodwill credit from Kia directly and signed a full release. He threatened to post a negative review if we did not give him money. We denied his request since it is no way a reasonable one. However, we did offer to discount future needed repairs. This was unacceptable to him. We continue our offer to help him in the future.
