When I first bought my gladiator I thought that I had found a great dealership to work with. I purchased my 2021 Jeep gladiator overland on 2/4/22 and I had only requested that the tires be swapped for the all terrain option… however weather played a factor that day and just so happens that service wasn’t in that day to change them out. I live 3 hours away and thought well no big deal,I’ll just come up and get them done when I get a price for what I wanted. I have contacted my salesman Justin multiple times since the date of purchase. He put me in contact with Remi in service who I’ve also tried to contact multiple times and to no avail neither one of them has gotten me a price for the product I want since the day of purchase. I finally decided to purchase what I wanted elsewhere and will have them installed at my local dealer along with any other aftermarket install and all maintenance. Sure would have liked to keep that “Lifetime Warranty” that the dealership offers, but if it comes at the price of having to do all my maintenance with them after not even getting a reply back on something as easy as a price on tires, I think I’ll just take my chances that I won’t need that warranty from Jake Sweeney for Lifetime. Very disappointed in the customer care after the point of sale. Y’all got my money and business this time, but never again. I’ll just go back to keeping my money at the local dealership and give the commission to a hometown friend. More
Let me say I do NOT like having my car serviced.I usually am in early after working all night.I always deal with Rob Mardis because over the years(i bought my DART new in 2014) i have developed a trust (whic am in early after working all night.I always deal with Rob Mardis because over the years(i bought my DART new in 2014) i have developed a trust (which i usually never do) with his professional judgment on my car.He tells me what I need, what i don't need, gets me in,gets me out and doesn't bs me.He has earned my trust. The cashier in the service department (her name escapes me) has always been nice, professional, and sincere. They have a THANKLESS job of taking my hard earned money to pay pay for something that i don't like in the first place but i have to have. I commend them for the job they do and recommend their service department to any one who owns a DODGE. go MOPAR BIGTOMMYD54@YAHOO.COM More
Arranged a used vehicle test drive appt via the dealership's website. Met with Tina who set us up for the test drive quickly. From there she asked us what she could do to help us make the car ours. dealership's website. Met with Tina who set us up for the test drive quickly. From there she asked us what she could do to help us make the car ours. The process was relaxed and she guided us through everything gently. We later met with Gary of financial, who was quick, clear and detailed about our purchase and loan information. Would recommend Jake Sweeney to friends and family! More
Do not buy from here! They do not back the vehicles they sell. They do not care about their customers. They charged us $1,000 for diagnostics to tell us our engine needed to be replaced at 87,000 miles and sell. They do not care about their customers. Be careful what you sign. They stack the paper work and later you find out you got taken. They raised the price from the sticker $530 and added 3 more months on my loan . You will be pressured into buying later you find out you got taken. They raised the price from the sticker $530 and added 3 more months on my loan . You will be pressured into buying after your vehicle appraisal.Bring two sets of keys they hold them and keep asking why you can't make a deal. Use your other set to leave. watch out for up charging and costs they add on. Get your own loan, don't trust them. They won't answer emails after the sale. "Jake the Snake". More
It is an absolute nightmare working with Jake Sweeney Jeep Chrysler Dodge Ram in Tri-County and, truthfully, at this point feel as though we are being extorted. I suppose, the best way to convey the i Jeep Chrysler Dodge Ram in Tri-County and, truthfully, at this point feel as though we are being extorted. I suppose, the best way to convey the issue is to start at the beginning, in chronological order. Around Thanksgiving 2020, my wife was in a minor not-at-fault collision in her 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee in West Chester (was stopped at a 4-way stop sign, she would be 3rd to go, cars #1 and #2 couldn't figure it out, ran into each other, then into her). There was damage to the front end, and we had it towed to Jake Sweeney JCDR. Nearly 3 months later we picked it up completed (with some back and forth in the meantime), or so we thought. Within 4 days of receiving the vehicle from Jake Sweeney, after picking my kids up from school and with them in the car, the Jeep suddenly went into 'limp mode' in I-75 (stays in low gear, does not accelerate past 40 mph). Immediately, we brought it back to Sweeney, they determined it to be a cam sensor (which is located within the area that was repaired post-collision). They wouldn't accept any responsibility for overlooking the issue initially, and we paid them roughly $300 for that repair. Approximately 4 months later (late July 2021), the car went into limp mode again, luckily in not as precarious of a spot as the 1st time. My wife pulled over, shut the car down, started it, and everything seemed fine - dashboard lights went off, car drove as normal, so we thought it was a fluke. To paint the complete picture, there are a few nuisances with this Jeep that have been persistent: 1) At most gas stations at the pump, when filling up, there would be minor 'blowback' of fumes, which causes the pump to auto shut-off (as though the tank is full). The workaround is to not fill up at full speed and hold the pump handle while doing it. Not a huge deal, we lived with it, it was occurring since we bought the car 'certified preowned'. 2) The front parking sensor would constantly act as though something was in front of it and signal a loud warning. We just turned Park Sense off and did not use that feature. That sensor is located on the front bumper, the entirety of which was repaired after the collision, we did not have this issue before the collision, so certainly a case can be made that, again, there was some oversight on Jake Sweeney's part. But we simply did not address it because working with them has been tedious at the least and this issue was just a minor inconvenience. What made us take it to Jake Sweeney this time was a new issue that I started noticing. When downshifting into the 4th, the car would noticeably jerk. Transmission issues can lead to serious consequences, so we scheduled an appointment for 8/27. We were limited to official Jeep service centers, since that is who honors the extended drive-train warranty, which we have. When we dropped off the Jeep to Sweeney on the 27th, we asked them to look into all of the issues mentioned above, quote repair costs, and at that point we would decide whether to only address the necessary items or fix the inconveniences as well. To summarize, they were to inspect and quote the following: Transmission – odd downshift into 4th gear Whatever caused it to go ‘limp’ again Fuel filler blowback issue Front parking sensor malfunction. Approximately 7 working days later, they came back to us with the following: - Parking sensor needs replacement (optional) - Fuel blow-back issue – gas filler neck needs replaced (optional) - The reason it went ‘limp’ again – cam sensor wiring harness, which is directly connected to the cam sensor itself, the part which was replaced in March, harness needs replaced (mandatory) - They are attempting to narrow down the transmission issue, it could possibly be the valve body, but they cannot be too sure because… the fuel pump died and the car is no longer drivable. So now, instead of one repair that would have cost us $183 and the other which would be covered by warranty, we are faced with $1650 in repairs. Of course, we took issue with the fact that the fuel pump was functional when we brought it to Sweeney, that the car became non-drivable while in their possession, and they agreed to come down to $1000 for all non-covered repairs (still more than 5X what we anticipated to spend). Being a family with 3 children and both of us working, begrudgingly we agreed, as we desperately need the vehicle for day-to-day. Following day we receive a text from our advisor at JS informing us that the OEM fuel pump is on back order and they do not know when they will be able to receive it. There are no loaners to be provided, and the options are: a good quality aftermarket fuel pump for $900 more, or another OEM fuel pump (just different part number for some reason) for additional $300, on top of the $1000 that they, themselves, agreed to. At this point, we just do not know what to do. The car is not drivable, we both need to get to- and from work, take kids to school, etc. Jake Sweeney’s stance is – “feel free to tow it out of here if you aren’t happy with our terms”. They’re aware of the fact that we do not have any options and are taking full advantage of it. More
We are having the worst customer service at Jake Sweeney and are blatantly being taken advantage of. My car has been back three times since it was repaired after an accident. Each time I have brought it i and are blatantly being taken advantage of. My car has been back three times since it was repaired after an accident. Each time I have brought it in for the same or similar issues and somehow whatever part was fixed the time before has caused the connecting part to be broken. Then three weeks ago I brought it back in for a cam sensor issue and while in their possession the fuel pump broke and we were told to pay $1000 to fix that before what we brought it in for could be dealt with. And then a few days later the price increased to $1900 because the part is on back order. ALL of this is WRONG and we are not getting any reasonable or logical explanation from anyone at this dealership. More
