Good sales experience overall with some problems Thom was great to work with on this sale. I think there was a miscommunication in finance however because I thought my paperwork would be ready to go when I came in, but the usual finance person was out that day and another staff member, Ty, handled it. He seemed to prepare the paperwork from scratch and had significant trouble with getting the printer to work. I ended up being at the dealer for about two hours. This was frustrating to me. I would have understood if I had heard more time was needed and just delayed my arrival by an hour while they got everything ready, but was not offered that option. There was also a miscommunication about the free cargo cover, which was part of the deal. When I went to pick it up, it was the flimsy mesh cover that would offer no safety from flying objects. I did not even know such a silly overpriced product existed because sales staff (Ty) was not specific about what cargo cover I was getting. I urge this dealer to negotiate with specificity. Ty would not upgrade to the hard installed cover so I had to pay the difference $66 and will need to install it myself. This to me like a petty thing to stick to guns about especially when Ty did explain there were two covers during negotiations. I also think such cargo covers are essential and a danger to NOT install. I think it should be a standard safety feature on all hatchbacks. (Due to projectiles in MVAs) In sum, Thom was great, but my experience with Ty’s lack of preparation and stubbornness over the cargo cover soured this deal somewhat. More
