However, the disaster that is Irvine BMW pushed me to write this. I purchased a pre-owned BMW M5 a few weeks ago. I went ahead and purchased from a main dealer expecting a car that has been properly inspected prior to my purchase. Boy, was I wrong! This car was purchased as a second/weekend car and I expected it to be without defects. At the very least they should have been identified prior to my purchase. The first time I drove the car at night I noticed the headlights pointing down. Also, noticed an oil leak in my garage. Furthermore, the car was making a high pitched whining noise from the engine on cold start in the morning. I took the car to Crevier BMW to get it inspected. Mind you at this point I had put only about 100 miles on the car myself. Crevier inspected the car and did confirm my concerns. The car has a broken engine oil cooler, broken headlight level sensor, broken thrust arm bushings, and defective a/c tensioner. Roughly $3,500 in repairs. It is absolutely disgraceful, that they would sell a car with such defects, especially the headlight level sensor and bad thrust arm bushings. These are safety items!!! Armed with this information, I took the car back to Irvine BMW to hopefully get these issues addressed. The car was there a few days until I got a call from their service manager, Jose. Jose basically denied any fault on their part and insinuated that I must have hit something to cause the damage. He basically called me a liar. This guy has the absolutely worst customer service skills of any manager I have ever dealt with. Meanwhile, I also called the manager of their used car sales, Brian Anderson, and did not receive a phone call back. I also called the General Manager, Howie, and did not receive a call back. I guess they were too busy bending over the next sucker. This experience has really put a bad taste in my mouth. The fact that they had no interest in helping my really shows their character. They definitely lost a customer for life. To add insult to injury, when I was picking up my car I overheard a lady complaining that it has been over an hour since the service porter told he would bring her car up. In conclusion, Irvine BMW did not properly inspect a car that they put on their lot and misrepresented it as a car without issues. They had no interest in making things right with me after I discovered the preexisting issues with the car. I would highly suggest that anyone interested in purchasing a pre-owned BMW, avoid this dealership like the plague. More
My brand new BMW has about 4k miles on it and the "drive train malfunction" light came on and the car was undrivable. Called Irvine BMW, since that is where we had bought our three cars, and service "drive train malfunction" light came on and the car was undrivable. Called Irvine BMW, since that is where we had bought our three cars, and service lady rudely said they were just too busy and to perhaps call back the following Monday. Well now I am stuck. We called Crevier BMW and they said that a drive train malfunction has an obvious priority and immediately sent a tow truck and gave me a courtesy vehicle. Unbelievably bad service from Irvine. More
I should have known that this dealership was trouble before I signed the paperwork for my car. I was warned by friends, but the salesman I was working with was a nice guy, so what could go wrong? before I signed the paperwork for my car. I was warned by friends, but the salesman I was working with was a nice guy, so what could go wrong? I ordered my car exactly the way I wanted it, waited 3 months, and before I took delivery, the salesman had left the dealership. He was replaced by someone that actually told me to go somewhere else when I wasn't happy with something. Really? When the car was delivered, it had a rattle that was unacceptable to me and I stated it needed to be fixed before I took delivery of the car, and a couple hours later, it was. 8 months down the road, the rattle is back and these guys can't figure it out. Even worse, they refused to fix it and said that BMW NA told them that it was "acceptable". I'm glad they can decide these things for me! Why could it be fixed before I bought the car, but can't be fixed now? This has been the worst service I have ever had at any dealership, regardless of manufacturer. Irvine BMW doesn't care about the customer. Why do I say this? Well, they don't communicate anything to the customer. They had my car for 4 days, didn't work on it all, and didn't tell me anything. I found out when I read the service invoice that they decided what is acceptable to me saying that some cars rattle and I have to live with it. Funny the loaners don't have it, and neither did any of the other cars that I looked at. I wish I would have walked away from this dealership when I had the chance. I should have stuck with Acura since their cars are more reliable, but I loved the BMW. If you do get a BMW, do yourself a favor and go to Crevier, Sterling, or one of the many dealerships around the OC area. Don't go to these guys. I know this is a rant, but based on my experiences, they really don't deserve your, or any customer's money, so I'm doing my part to warn future customers. If my review keeps one person from going to them for a sale or service, I will be happy. Gary Temel, Rob Davis, and Jose Fernandez: thanks for nothing. Your lack of communication and concern for customer satisfaction is truly disappointing and is worth as much as I paid for this service: NOTHING. More
Albert Ochoa is the only reason I bring my 2nd BMW to Irvine. He provides me with the best customer service tailored to my needs. Albert even texts me updates on the status of my vehicle and when it's re Irvine. He provides me with the best customer service tailored to my needs. Albert even texts me updates on the status of my vehicle and when it's ready on top of a phone call! Talk about amazing service and I also got a picture of my newly tinted windows when the car was finished. The tint looks perfect and the service was quick and fast. Make sure you ask for Albert Ochoa when you bring your car to the service drive. More

Just to clarify my only experience with Irvine BMW was through their service department and my review is primarily focused on their service department alone. I contacted Irvine BMW for the first time through their service department and my review is primarily focused on their service department alone. I contacted Irvine BMW for the first time to have my front brakes serviced. It was a horrible mistake. Although they seem to look a professional, serious and reliable business to deal with when you drive through the dealership, as it turned out, it was very deceiving at the end. Their service department is very disorganized, poorly trained, disoriented, and without any level of discipline or professionalism. I am surprised how the BMW manufacturer lets BMW of Irvine stay in business. They have receptionists acting as service agents! and service agents backing up their receptionists for any situation that comes through. I called on Wednesday and I was forwarded to a gentleman named Stuart to help me with my service needs. I asked him to give me a quote for the front brakes that would include brakes, rotors and labor. He gave me a quote of $580. Then 5 minutes I called back again to confirm the quote I was given, and after confirming I drove to the dealership from Riverside, thats 48 miles away! to drop my car for service and I was assigned to a service agent, Miguel, that was present when I got there. Next day, Miguel emails me to give me a final estimate for the services to render. He was quoting me double much than what I was originally quoted for. On top of that, he would tell me that my car needs brake fluid maintenance and other additional services and was trying to convince me to include them in my service. I drove back to the dealership to ask for an explanation. I met with Miguel, and he would back Stuart, trying to make me look like an idiot and to prove me wrong. Then I decided to cancel my appointment and take my car to another dealership. I asked to talk to the service manager Jose. Jose asked me who gave me the quote and when I said Stuart, he says Stuart is our receptionist and shouldn’t be giving you a quote. He is not authorized to give quotes anyways he said. He offered to perform the service at the quote I was given and I refused at that point. I wouldn't trust them to touch on my car. I decided to take my car elsewhere to another BMW dealership to perform the services needed. IF I trust or recommend BMW of Irvine? Definitely not. I would never take my car at any expense to them, nor would i recommend Irvine BMW to anyone. I ended up being fooled, wasting my time, wasting my gas, driving in traffic for nothing. This has to be the ultimate worst place for service. Stay away More
Based on Irvine BMW reaching out very proactively I am revising my review and upping my score dramatically. A company can have a bad day or a bad employee, but how they (and any person) responds to that revising my review and upping my score dramatically. A company can have a bad day or a bad employee, but how they (and any person) responds to that incident says more about them. Irvine BMW went so far out of their way to make this right that my fear is that I am hopelessly spoiled for their regular service. It also sets a very high bar for others to meet. I won't give 5 Stars due to the original horrible pileup of the first incident, but encourage anyone else to use them and be sure to speak up if things aren't going the way you think they should. Upper management seems determined to set a high standard for service and they will help see that it is accomplished. Natalie deserves special recognition and I hope BMW Irvine gives her a big raise because she is saving their business one cranky customer at a time More
Bought my first BMW here and never again. The car I sold to Irvine BMW back in Oct 2012, Toll Road Violations still goes to me. Contacted in person, faxed, emailed them... that was a joke even with manageme to Irvine BMW back in Oct 2012, Toll Road Violations still goes to me. Contacted in person, faxed, emailed them... that was a joke even with management staff (Andrew - Sales Manager, Benjamin Nguyen - Business Manager). I guess when deal is done, it's done. Won't see them again. Don't expect their professional customer service. They said they strike for the best... it's the worse. Coming back here? Take relaxed medication before you go. More
I had a 3 year lease on a 2010 Mercedes E550 Coupe which was soon coming to an end. I visited Crevier BMW to look at the new 6 Series 4 Door Coupe. The sales pitch went something like this "call me when yo was soon coming to an end. I visited Crevier BMW to look at the new 6 Series 4 Door Coupe. The sales pitch went something like this "call me when you are interested." I'm not sure why someone would visit a car dealer if they weren't ready to buy a car. To me, that would be like visiting your dentist because you thought you may need a root canal, but weren’t ready. So I visited Irvine BMW the next day. I met Paul Bailey, Internet Sales Manager, and he told me that the great thing about BMW is that many customers like to order cars. BMW provides a vast number of options, to personalize the experience. (The only option I could get on the E550 at the time was the lane departure warning) The timing was perfect. We went through all of the options and I placed the order. Paul called me the next week to tell me the White Ash wood trim was discontinued, but they were able to override on my order and get it done. I tracked the "build" on the BMW site every few weeks and called when the car was en route to the dealer. They had the paperwork ready to go. Irvine BMW gave me more than the payoff amount on the E550 Coupe, which still had three payments left! I received a nice discount off of sticker on a brand new model, plus a nice trade in value, and the 640 was waiting for me, ready to go, right in front of the showroom. The best part is that when I arrived, everything was pretty much done. If you think of this from the dealer perspective, they are doing a high level legal transaction with a lot of money on the line, yet they know you don't want to be there all day. From my point of view, I know it is a large transaction, and I don't want to be there at all! I think two hours is pretty quick, considering all of the details involved. Irvine BMW has a new car delivery guy. That's all he does. He walked me through all of the features, helped transfer my remotes, transponders and so forth to the new car. When my plates arrive in the mail in a few weeks, they are going to install them (including the front plate, which thanks to the State of CA requires someone to puncture a perfectly beautiful front bumper skin). At that time the same new car delivery guy will make sure I learned how everything works and the things setup according to my preferences (I've decided to install an iPod in the glove box rather than download everything) also are working well and am okay with my choices. The dealership is modern and clean with nice waiting areas, without being a museum. I don’t think they have an espresso guy or a putting green, which leads me to believe they are more set up to get to the deal without taking all day, finding ways to keep you entertained, and justifying a higher margin. Irvine BMW feels like a comfortable pair of shoes. More
As I was telling this to my son today, who I was helping to get a new car. Of the 17 new cars I have bought in my lifetime, working with Tim Rose, has been most pleasurable new car experience I have ever e to get a new car. Of the 17 new cars I have bought in my lifetime, working with Tim Rose, has been most pleasurable new car experience I have ever encountered.
