Terri sold us a car today: a 2013 Honda Pilot. I rarely write such letters, but I thought it was important to recognize Terriās great professionalism, dedication, and humanity. I am a Research Ecologist with the U.S. Geological Survey Fort Collins Science Center, Senior Scientist at the Natural Resource Ecology Laboratory, and Affiliate Faculty in the Department of Ecosystem Science and Sustainability, also at Colorado State University. I am ranked as one of the top ten scientists in the world in the field of biological invasions. I have taught classes, advised graduate students, and trained ecologists for over twenty years. I consider myself an excellent judge of character and career potential. My lovely bride, Cindy, and I began the day at another Honda dealership, one that we had conducted business with routinely for over nine years. With our 35th wedding anniversary about two months away, I thought it would be nice to upgrade her 2005 Honda Pilot. She loves her Honda Pilot. It gave her secure, consistent, and reliable transportation and comfort for nine years. She raised our kids with it, took it on long vacations and camping trips, and carted her aging parents safely to family dinners and medical appointments. There was no question in her mind what make and model she wanted as a replacement: another Honda Pilot. We were considering a price estimate for a 2013 Honda Pilot from our previous Honda dealership, when I decided to compare prices with other local dealerships. I contacted three other dealerships by e-mail, but only one salesperson promptly called me back ā Terri Langenbahn from Honda of Greeley. I was immediately at ease with Mr. Langenhbahmās friendly, casual, approach to sales. He let me describe what we exactly wanted. He listened well ā an extremely valuable trait. He was genuinely concerned with our āexperienceā buying a car. My wife and I drove out to Honda of Greeley, just to look at what the competition had to offer, but Terri turned out to me a member of our team. He just wanted to help. He was courteous, honest, direct, and knowledgeable. My wife liked the way he calmly explained differences and similarities in models and features. His great attitude sold us on the dealership long before he sold us a product. Sales Managers like Terri make car shopping stress-free and fun. We were also made to feel welcome by Bob Finnegan, General Sales Manager. He introduced himself, helped locate our vehicle, and made us feel like āpartnersā in the business. Mr. Finnegan is honest, comical, relaxing, and supportive. I noticed how well he treated all the staffālike they were equals. In contrast, at the other Honda dealership earlier in the day, the salesman was less personable, and the General Sales Manager completely ignored us. After discussing options with Terri, and filling out a few forms, we had the pleasure to work with Matt Deconto, Finance Director, to seal the deal. We were equally impressed by Mr. DecontoāMattāas he expertly guided us through the financing portion of the deal. He spoke plainly and answered every question we had, with great ease. In short, our car-buying experience was magically simple, effortless, and fun. Terri, as the āfirst point of contactā for Honda of Greeley made this sale possible. His easy-going personality got us in the door. Honda makes a great product. The dealerships are neat and clean. But without a great Sales Manager like Terri, we might have shopped elsewhere. I went to Honda of Greeley expecting to buy a car at a fair price from a decent company. What I was left with was feeling I had been scammed and taken advantage of. I was told certain terms of contract and payment and expected them to be kept within a reasonable range. Boy was I wrong. Five days after I "purchased" my car, they call to tell me that the terms were no longer the same, that my interest rate had gone up tremendously as well as my payments taking a leap. I also realized that they had offered me a deal that was not such a deal after all. They just marked the car up and then marked it back down. All the while trying to talk me in circles so I wouldn't see what they were doing. Being a first time car buyer, I fell for it at first. They missed their chance to scam me though when they called back five days later and I started doing some extra research. I was not happy. They got my payments down to near what I had agreed to at the original purchase time, however the interest rate was not comparable. They also did not do a good job detailing the car before I took it home so they asked me to bring it back and they would do it again. After 5 days of trying to make those arrangements, I finally got it done while I was re-signing the paper work and it still was done terribly. There where greasy hand smudges in four different places as well as water streaks coming down from the mirrors and door handles. I asked for the manager to express my displeasure with the whole deal and all he did was get them to wipe the smudges and try to talk me in circles about what had happened. I was left with a less than clean car and a feeling of distrust after working with those sneaky snakes. I will not be recommending them in the future. More

Our experience at Honda of Greeley with Todd Nillson was excellent. We would give both the dealership and Todd a high rating. We were treated professionally and respectfully. We had a GREAT experience buying our new Civic at Honda of Greeley. Peggy Martin is by far the best person who has ever helped us buy a car! She was very patient and never pressured or pestered us into making a decision, even though we took several weeks before we finally decided to buy the car-- after all, the car was a big investment for us! Throughout the whole process, we always knew we were getting the best possible price and never felt like we were being taken advantage of. (Some other dealerships hassled us to make a hasty decision on an overpriced car and played all sorts of games with APR numbers to obscure the actual price.) Honda of Greeley gave us the best price out of any dealership we visited, and was the only dealership willing to order any car we wanted from anywhere in the state! (Other dealerships only wanted to sell what they had on the lot). We are thrilled with our new car and we are certain that we made the right decision. Our only regret is not going to Greeley of Honda sooner! We will definitely recommend Honda of Greeley (especially Peggy Martin!) to all of our friends. More
Mark is fantastic. We had a little problem with the power seat and he came to the house to fix it. That speaks highly.
