John Eagle Auto Group sold out Clear Lake Honda to Lithia Motors Inc. which decided o cancel the previous lifetime oil change packages as of 28 July 2022. I just bought a 2022 Passport and thankfully I didn't buy their lifetime oil change package. I can see them rotating ownership every few years to purge those long-term owners from programs they think are costing them money. More
Dishonest dealership, they cancelled my oil change subscription that i pair for, i bought the car in 2019 and my car is under 60k miles. The oil changes where good for 5 years or 60k miles. Over charge for the service when customers find out , they promised to refund but never do. I went there on 07/14/2022 to have my car service . Total package services is 620 they charge 780. I have purchased 3 vehicles from Honda of Clear Lake with one of the reasons being the free lifetime oil change, then without notice they decided to discontinue the service. Twice, now, they've suddenly decided that they weren't going to honor free oil changes while I was still within the terms of the contract. Throw in that it takes three hours to get it changed, and it's pr going to honor free oil changes while I was still within the terms of the contract. Save yourself multiple headaches and don't buy from here. Oh, and they completely missed a bolt sticking out of my tire and said it was probably the temperature change that made my pressure light turn on. I don't know if it's laziness or incompetence, but both are unacceptable. More
Horrible customer service from sales advisor Eddie Guillory. This will be the first and last time I come to get an oil change here. I arrived at 6:45 AM and was the fourth person in line. I knew from the very beginning there would be a wait time which is understandable. When the service doors open at 7AM I was pushed to the last. I told Mr. Guillory that I’ve been here since 6:45 am and he said his response is to wait in line. We decided to purchase the vehicle from Honda Clearlake due to the excellent customer service but when it comes to the service department is horrible. There has to be better way for this dealership to track who comes first rather than just push people away. Will definitely take my business somewhere else. More
Horrific salesmanship. I have been a Honda-exclusive buyer since 2003 and my experience was so awful at Clear Lake that not only did I not continue my business with them, I I have been a Honda-exclusive buyer since 2003 and my experience was so awful at Clear Lake that not only did I not continue my business with them, I jumped ship to Hyundai. I'll never go back. I understand a bit of back and forth but these guys really turned up the smarm. "You seem like a serious guy, let's cut to the chase" stuff. Like, comedic. Then when we don't agree and I leave, I call back asking if there was any way we could get just a bit closer (like, $500) on the price and they not only took away the offered deal (with a "let me talk to my manager" and then ten seconds of muffled nonsense and then "sorry we can't even offer that original deal anymore" crap) the guy went out of his way to ensure that I knew that he had won, and that I had made a mistake. So even after rejecting the sale he wanted to make sure that I felt bad about it. And you know what? It worked. It worked so well that I'm never, ever dealing with them again. And it worked so well that I'm writing my first ever online review. That's how much I dislike these guys. Go to xxxx, Clear Lake Honda. I don't drive Hondas anymore. More
