Save yourself money and headaches.. DO NOT PURCHASE AN RV - OR A WARRANTY FROM HOLIDAY WORLD OF KATY!!!! Choosing Holiday World to purchase an RV was a TERRIBLE decision!!! They lied when selling a wa RV - OR A WARRANTY FROM HOLIDAY WORLD OF KATY!!!! Choosing Holiday World to purchase an RV was a TERRIBLE decision!!! They lied when selling a warranty. We spent over $100,000 on an RV, purchased three warranties (one being a comprehensive warranty) for approximately an additional $14,000, and then they refused to offer any assistance when we had an issue five months later. Not only did they refuse to honor their word, they would not even work with the manufacturer (Grand Design). The owner did not even have the courtesy to respond to our complaint. Luckily, Grand Design cares about its customers and went above and beyond to rectify the issue. Save yourself money and headaches... DO NOT PURCHASE AN RV - OR A WARRANTY FROM HOLIDAY WORLD OF KATY!!! More
Disappointing experience. In May of 2019 my wife and I purchased a Dynamax DX3 motor home from Holiday World in Katy, Texas. This is the first motor home we have purchased and In May of 2019 my wife and I purchased a Dynamax DX3 motor home from Holiday World in Katy, Texas. This is the first motor home we have purchased and we were looking forward to traveling the country since I had just retired. I am not traditionally a person who makes comments on the internet though I was asked several times by the staff at Holiday World to post comments of my sales experience. Given what has happened since the purchase, I now feel compelled to share my experience. When buying a new motor home, we were not prepared for the number of problems and the length of time it took to resolve them. Our first problem occurred less than 2 hours after I drove the RV off the dealer lot. When I turned on the front cab air conditioner and it did not work, I called the dealer when I got home and they told me to find a Freightliner repair shop and take it there to be looked at. Being brand new, I told the dealer I felt it was their responsibility and not mine to see to the repair. I might add their response to my problem was a very different vibe than I had received during the sales process. As I live 4 hours away from the dealership, I eventually brought the RV in 2 weeks later with a list of 12 other items I had discovered that needed to be corrected. This was only the beginning of a list of problems that I have had with the motor home. It has been at the dealership 130 days for repairs during the first 8 months and 11 days that we have owned the RV. During that time I tried twice to speak with a manager about my problems and was promised return calls which never happened. Despite all of the problems we have experienced, Holiday World states this on their website: "Give us a call at any of our locations and we'll get you in and out of the shop in an efficient and timely manner, so you can get back to experiencing the freedom that the RV lifestyle provides." That certainly has not been our experience in dealing with Holiday World of Katy. Pat Carrier On August 7th my wife and I posted the preceding comments regarding our motor home purchase at Holiday World, Katy, Texas. On August 10th we received the following response from Holiday World. "Renee, please reach out to us regarding your experience. Tina Wainwright, Customer Service Manager." I find this reply particularly interesting in that only after I hired an attorney to send a letter to Holiday World did I finally receive a call back from a manager who turned out to be Tina Wainwright, the "Customer Service Manager." I spoke with Ms. Wainwright and I asked for a refund of my purchase due to the many problems we have had. Ms Wainwright apologized to me multiple times and admitted that Holiday World "dropped the ball" regarding their handling of our RV repairs. However, she told me that they would not refund my purchase and offered no other solution to my problems other that to let me know Holiday World was not a "storage facility" and they would charge us for all of the time that our RV was on their property if we did not come and pick it up after it was finally finished. All of my previously stated concerns seemed to have been quickly forgotten. Their attitude after the sale was completely different than I received during the initial sales process. More

Bought a toy hauler and didn’t use it until three months later. First time to be used when I went on an out of town job fir an extended period of. Four major issues from day one. The only person who tried to help was my salesperson and after a few days no response from her. Sold me an extended warranty that I didn’t know I had to bring rv there for repairs. What good is a warranty if I can’t use it. I can’t leave the job I’m on the bring it in. Service people want to help via troubleshooting by phone. Been one week now and nothing. Very disappointed to say the least. Talk with warranty company and something. Need to bring it in. More
Repeat Customer Traded in a camper that was perfect at the time but, we wanted more. Biff was wonderful in finding the perfect trailer for us. It was his day off too. Definitely do not recommend Holiday World of Katy. From the sales department to the service to “management”; it’s all bad. Salesman assured us that the Coach would be pre-inspected prior to us picking it u the sales department to the service to “management”; it’s all bad. Salesman assured us that the Coach would be pre-inspected prior to us picking it up and it would be ready to go camping. This was not dond; electrical problem, generator did not run, plumbing problem, etc. etc. Drivers side glass was defective, salesman told us that was our problem. Discovered that Coach would not pass inspection the way it wa. Tires were dry-rotted (confirmed by the tire manufacturer). Tire manufacture paid 70% of replacement cost; asked Holiday World for remaining 30%; they offered 10%. Service Dept would not accept any new work braise they were to busy. Received authorization to have it repaired elsewhere. After repairs were made, the person that authorized the repairs was no longer with company and Holiday World refused to reimburse us. More

Rachel Simmons came through with the RV we were in search of. Rachel listened to our needs and showed us what we would like. We looked and bought a Thor Compass 24' TCB 2004 and we love it.
