Ryan, This exchange is almost unbelievable to me. Your service was from last year and I don’t know where the anger is coming from. Last year I clearly offered to pay for the labor to replace your water pump, accepted responsibility for my team’s failure and offered explanations for any misperceptions from either party. You genuinely seemed grateful I took the time to talk things through with you. I have pasted our email string from last year below, but don’t worry, as a man of integrity I have removed your contact information and employer logo while leaving mine intact. (Funny how the world works.) Why you are now creating reviews and stating the same erroneous things you did in the past is beyond me. This just seems like mean-spirited muckraking. Enjoy your holiday weekend sir. Tom, Thanks for your response, I understand how busy you are and where this likely falls in your priorities. We have 127 open RO’s right now ourselves, and this is the slowest it’s been all year. Albeit I do this now for the city, I spent a long time myself in aviation as a crew chief, supervisor and ultimately a TI on the 64 Block D/E’s. It’s easy to forget that not everyone sees things as methodically as we do coming from aviation. The automotive world is the wild west. I did not want to make a big deal out of this, but at the end of the day we’re stuck with the short end of the stick, and I would have gladly paid the extra $3xx to not be in our current situation faced with an impending water pump failure. Unfortunately, we live between Bastrop and Smithville which creates a logistic problem getting to and from your dealership. If you have a loaner that would be fantastic, if not we have several classic cars I’ve restored and don’t mind driving pending I can get my wife to come with me. This is a forum for customers to share their experiences Tom. Just because people are sharing their poor experience (regardless of how long ago it happened), does not make them “angry”. It’s unbelievable to you that someone would leave an honest review? What an odd thing to say. Yes, I clearly stated that you offered to remedy the situation. However, you informed me that I would have to wait until it became convenient for the dealership (not in those words obviously). Imagine hearing this as a customer who just paid nearly $2000 for a service that was performed incorrectly. Despite this, I waited a few months just to see if anyone would reach out. To this day I have never heard back from anyone. If I can prevent one person from making the same mistake I did by taking their TDi here for service, it was worth taking 10 minutes out of my life to leave a review. As I stated, I’m sure there are services your dealership performs well, but a timing belt is not one of them Again, I am merely sharing my experience with others, they can judge for themselves. Who I work for and what I do is completely irreverent, but thank you for deleting my email signature I guess?. All the readers need to know is that I’m a paying customer and this was my experience.
