Umar worked with me so I got to a very good competitive price. Umar was never pushy and was transparent through the entire purchase experience from communicating with him over email to when I came in to the dealer to purchase my car. I did not have a trade in. I had a prior finance offer, which Herson's was able to get very close to through Honda's financing, enough so that the convenience on working with Honda outweighed the slight difference (less than .2%) in APR that Honda financing offered. Herson's is nothing but heartache! I should have read the reviews on this site before going there. I found out later that the price they offered me wasn't very good. They also tried to hit me with hidden fe reviews on this site before going there. I found out later that the price they offered me wasn't very good. They also tried to hit me with hidden fees. But after an intense negotiation I was ready to buy on one condition: that they match my trade-in appraisal from Carmax. My salesguy assured me that would be no problem, but then he left me with "the closer" who lowballed me and wouldn't budge. When I balked, he tried to confuse me with numbers and when that didn't work he tried to bully us. My wife was so offended she walked out of the dealership. I had to demand the keys back for my trade-in from a sales manager. After a confounding delay, we got our keys back and left. Next day, the salesman called to apologize and offer me the original deal. But by then we'd contacted three other dealers, all of which offered me a much better deal. Trust me, if you live in the Rockville area, avoid Herson's and buy your Honda at Criswell! More
The service shop cut my interior panelling and refused to take ownership for it. They were rude and arrogand and stated that they were unsure of they did it, but that if they did the, "weren't going to do a take ownership for it. They were rude and arrogand and stated that they were unsure of they did it, but that if they did the, "weren't going to do a thing about it", and that was the "manager" speaking. Very unprofessional and rude. They didn't do a good job on my repairs either. I'll NEVER go back! More
I purchased a 2010 Honda Insight about 10 days ago. They were very busy. I found the exact car I was looking for and the best price. They also gave me the best price on my trade. I had looked for this parti were very busy. I found the exact car I was looking for and the best price. They also gave me the best price on my trade. I had looked for this particular color and I wanted an "LX Insight". All of the other dealers only had "EX Insights" for about $1500 more. Although they were very busy, I was only at the dealership for about an hour and a half from the time I walked in to the time I left. It could not have been a better experience! I would definately recommend this dealership to anybody looking for a new Honda and Chris And Jamie made my day by knowing all the answers to my questions being professional and pleasant througout the whole transaction. My main contact with this dealership was Shahul Usman, internet sales. He emailed me when other dealers despite telephone calls did not respord or call me back. Shahul was competitive, quick and no BS, internet sales. He emailed me when other dealers despite telephone calls did not respord or call me back. Shahul was competitive, quick and no BS, he stood by the quoted price, took my clunker, threw in a couple of cheap to them freebees, no hidden fees. And his quick and dirty finance estimate was within $1.00 a month of the final deal. Good job Shahul. One of my best new car sales experiences. More

Inexperienced techs who just throw parts on the car and pray it fixes them. Herson Honda knowingly uses aftermarket air filters, cabin filters and brake fluid in their "Honda factory" services. This means, you PAY for NON OEM HONDA air filters, cabin filters and brake fluid when they advertise and tell you it is HONDA genuine parts they use. You can tell because honda air filters are green in color and the ribs on the filters are finer where they use filters that are WHITE and made in China and do not have HONDA stamped or written on the part. The OEM cabin filters are white which are the same color as the aftermarket ones they use, but do not have HONDA on them, so the quality is iffy. My whole point is...if you pay to have a 30, 60, 90K major service done, you should be paying for HONDA parts, not some cheap crap they use because they save money by charging you mark up prices for immitation cheap parts. Someone should take this story to the news channels, or best to the BBB and have the thousands of customers come to get their money back for labor and parts they thought they paid for!!! This also is ripping off Honda of America. Service director John Shamonsky knowingly approves these practices More
I stopped in to look at some used Hondas...and stupidly drove away in an overpriced Mitsubishi Endeavor. Sammy was a very good salesman and I guess I just believed his lies. He told me that the 2007 Mits drove away in an overpriced Mitsubishi Endeavor. Sammy was a very good salesman and I guess I just believed his lies. He told me that the 2007 Mits Endeavor was on the lot for $30,000 (lie #1). He "brought the price down to $14,000" (lie #2). In fact, the sale price of the vehicle was actually just under $13,000!!! From all the bad service reviews on here I will not be brining my Endeavor in for repairs at their shop either! More
Service was fine, not the slightest bit pushy which was a refreshing change. However, beware of the 'free' gas card scam. I asked for $600 off the sale price to match a quote I got from another dealer. refreshing change. However, beware of the 'free' gas card scam. I asked for $600 off the sale price to match a quote I got from another dealer. They came back with $100 off and a $200 'free' gas card. Since they had the color I wanted and the other dealer didn't, I figured paying $300 extra for the right color was worth it. At the time Ginny explained the 'free' gas card as something you turn in/register online and in return get a gift card good for $200 in free gas. That's absolutely untrue, and in fact is an elaborate scam to ensure you are very unlikely to get any value from the card. See freegascentral.com for the details of the scam. To add insult to injury, I noticed after I left the dealership that they did not top off the tank, so I was left on the hook for half a tank of gas and a worthless 'free' gas card. If not for the fact I wanted an uncommon color, I never would've gone to Herson's, and in the future I never will again. More
The service advisors at Herson’s Honda are very dishonest. Consumer bewares! I bought my Honda at Herson’s a little over 3 years ago and at the time I foolishly bought the extended warranty. Rec dishonest. Consumer bewares! I bought my Honda at Herson’s a little over 3 years ago and at the time I foolishly bought the extended warranty. Recently, I sometime noticed a noise while braking. Not knowing if this was covered by the extended warranty, I reluctantly took my car to Herson’s Honda service (my reluctance because my previous dealings with the service department had raised my suspicion, though no proof at the time). The service advisor called me later and told me over the phone the brake pads had worn out and that the rotors needed to be resurfaced. Because these were caused by wear and tear, the cost of this repair, which was about several hundred dollars, would not be covered by extended warranty. Thinking that the job was not very complicated and it probably could be done at a lower cost by a technician at an independent repair shop, I told the service advisor that I would take the car somewhere else to fix the problem, and I did. Two weeks later I took my car to a very reputable repair shop and told them there was noise while braking but now the noise was gone, and that my car was checked at a dealer and its service department’s recommendations. I also told the shop to do an oil change for the car while the brakes were been repaired. To my surprise, when I got my car back on the same day, the shop told me there was nothing wrong with the car’s brake. The repair shop wrote the following about my car’s brake on the itemized receipt: “Remove all four wheels to inspect brake condition and report, Lining remaining is >> Front 7.4 mm/Rear 6.4 mm. calipers, rotors, and remaining hardware are all in good condition at this time. Apply moly-kote to pads and calipers. Reassemble and road test.” And the shop did not charge me one penny for this check. In summary, 1) Dishonest Herson’s Honda service. Unnecessary services were piled on a customer at every chance. 2) Take your car to somebody you trust. I know this easier said than done. 3) Don't buy extended warranty. More
