An hour later i arrived at the dealership and was informed there was a recall for the latches on my doors and they will fix the problem right then and there. Extremely frustrating experience for potential F150 buyer 1/22/2018 I wish that I could give a minus rating. Received a flyer in the mail with a scratch off code, led gadget and confirmation number from C 1/22/2018 I wish that I could give a minus rating. Received a flyer in the mail with a scratch off code, led gadget and confirmation number from Courtesy Ford of Brooklyn Connecticut. I complied with the instructions on the brochure for scratching off the code and activating the led gadget. The #s indicated that I had won some sort of prize. I called the 1-800# provided and scheduled an appointment to pick up my prize which the telephone operator told me would be either a tv, xbox, ipad or $20K in cash. The reason I called was not so much the prize but because I am actively shopping for a new F150 and this seemed like a potential buying opportunity. I figured this sales brochure and how the dealership handled promises made would be a great indication of the overall honesty and integrity of Courtesy Ford of Brooklyn Connecticut. My appointment was scheduled with a Mr Boyd for 12 noon on 22 January 2018. I drove 20+ miles to the dealership and arrived promptly at noon. A young man met me at the door and informed me Mr Boyd was not available but said he could help me and asked for the brochure I had received. I walked back to my car to retrieve the brochure and then we "sat down" at a desk. The young salesman looked at the brochure and then informed me that the sales event was over. I asked "then why are you making appointments" he said "I don't know the 1800# you called is to a third party call center". He then informed me my guaranteed prize of a tv, xbox, ipad or $20K in cash was actually a "gift card". By this point I was irritated and any possibility of me buying a $40,000+ vehicle from this dealership was gone. Having experienced nothing but LIES from Courtesy Ford before the sale was even made, had me feeling nothing but dread and sympathy for the unfortunate souls who had actually purchased a vehicle from Courtesy Ford Of Brooklyn Connecticut. Absolutely abysmal experience in all respects. Based on the lies combined with bait and switch sales tactics, I even can't imagine how awful of an experience it would be actually buying a vehicle from Courtesy Ford Of Brooklyn Connecticut. The thought of having a warranty claim or dealing with the service department makes me wince at the thought of how frustrating it would be. Terrible experience..... More
