Debbie Colt at Herb Gordon, is patient, pleasant, knows the car (inside & out), helpful in making the right choices for my needs, and she has a dynamic personality. After another test drive, I liked the design and handling of the car and the dealership. This helped me make my decision. After losing sleep needlessly because of some some complicated issues, they assisted me in making the purchase of my new Nissan Altima run smoothly. Yes, Herb Gordon's, Debbie Colt, made this a pleasant experience. More
My experience with Herb Gordon was a most positive one. I was driving my 4th Nissan Sentra, a 1999, and had decided to move up just a bit in size to the Altima. I contacted a couple of dealers and Muna Chongo from Herb Gordon was the first to respond. He was very friendly and very knowledgeable on the phone and that carried over to my meeting him in person. He met me upon my arrival at the dealership and already had the car out that I had told him I was interested in. After explaining a few things to me about the car, we went for a short test drive during which time he showed me several new points about this car. Afterward we returned to discuss some of the financial arrangements. Since it was late, he was comfortable with my returning the next day to complete the transaction. When I came in the following day, he greeted me again and made me very comfortable. Upon finishing much of the paperwork, he turned me over to the gentleman who completes all that and once finished came and took me to the car to explain even more about it. I felt very comfortable with my purchase (as much as I can when I'm spending THAT kind of money) when I drove off the lot and that can be attributed mainly to my experience with Muna. More

Yesterday we purchased our beautiful navy blue 2010 Nissan Frontier LE from Herb Gordon Nissan. The experience impressed us as one we have never come across at a car dealership. We had done significant research ourselves prior to going into any dealership. As residents of Annandale, VA we certainly could have chosen one closer to home than Silver Spring MD. But our preliminary dealings with others had been lukewarm at best, with one dealership never even approaching us after five minutes in their showroom. We observed the high customer ratings of Herb Gordon Nissan on the internet and decided to check them out. It was Sunday, and the hours listed on the website indicated that they were closed. We sent an e-mail and a reply came back right away, saying they would contact us soon personally. Again, with it being Sunday, we thought it might be Monday before we heard back, so we decided to travel to the dealership and just take a look around while they were closed (we thought, “no pesky, high-pressure salespeople”). While on the way there, we received a message from Debbie Colt that she had received our request and would be happy to talk to us about our needs. Shortly after that, we arrived at the dealership and were surprised that there were people inside! We went in the front and were greeted warmly by a salesman at the front desk. We explained that Debbie had called us and soon she came to the front, greeting us with a smile and a firm handshake as we made our way back to her sales area and computer. We couldn’t help but notice the bright, clean and spacious environment of the dealership. Debbie asked us some preliminary questions and we immediately felt comfortable with her, sharing some light stories. She pointed out the advantages of the Frontier while searching her computer and actually found the model and color we were interested in on their lot! Debbie expressed courtesy and professionalism in every action of the deal. It was apparent to us that she had done this for a long time and loved her business. She hiked out in the 95 degree heat, found the vehicle and we went for a test drive. (Oh, I forgot to mention that while she went to retrieve the vehicle, we helped ourselves to freshly popped popcorn and hot dogs that the boss had made – again, on a Sunday!) The vehicle totally impressed us and we wanted to talk further, again under no pressure from Debbie. She was quick and responsive, offering us the numbers that we needed right away – she cut-to-the-chase, without being abrupt and had the bottom line figure before us. At this point we agreed that Debbie’s main concern was to inform us but to not waste our time. She offered to give us time to walk around, discuss, have a hot dog, go outside, whatever we needed to be comfortable. Having already visited four other dealerships, we knew we wanted to buy our vehicle from this dealership, and from Debbie Colt. We exchanged more information and the staff immediately began preparing our vehicle for delivery. We next visited with Justin Kim and he painlessly offered the closing paperwork and warranty information for our consideration. Debbie explained the break-in procedures, service schedule and showed us the “pristine” service department! Our vehicle was then ready to inspect and drive home. What a truly great experience. What can cause people to cringe and frequently develop a hostile, even defensive attitude towards car dealerships was put to rest at Herb Gordon. Debbie Colt made the difference for us that day. Justin Kim helped complete the deal. We don’t think it cost Herb Gordon Nissan any more to offer this kind of extraordinary customer service. We couldn’t be happier. Thanks guys. I was desperate to get a car weeks ago. Friends suggested different dealership. It was an exhausting experience. Low mileage, not expensive, and it's a 2009 model.. I was so excited and so I called and I was directed to talk to a sales rep- Walter. He was very accommodating and answered my questions. I felt welcome and decided to come visit that same day- far but I made it to the place! Finally, I got the car and it is the best experience. Herb Gordon made it happen- I got what I want. More
This was one of the most positive car-buying experiences I have had in a long time. The sales crew was kind and attentive, cooperated in letting me check out the car I was interested in _ and quickly locate I have had in a long time. After checking the price, we determined the car was out of our range, compared to some models we had already checked out _ they suggested an alternative vehicle that wsa in a similar price range to the ones we have looked at earlier. They quickly got a test vehicle ready and let us take that out on the road. After discussing the numbers, they didn't pressure us or try any "hard sell" tactics _ just pointed out the benefits of buying that car from their dealership. And they kept up with us throughout the buying process with helpful suggestions and information _ and again, no pressure. In the end, we went with another make and model I liked better, but I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated the professionalism of Bill Sells and the rest of the folks at Herb Gordon Nissan _ and if I am ever in the market for a new car again, it's the first place I will head. More

The car i'm purchasing is a white nissan altima coupe and no one could have sold the car to me as well as they did. He did not push me into the car nor did he try to sell me a more expensive model. He was friendly, caring, and his goal was set to find the perfect car for the perfect price. If you want a nissan make the trip to go here they are wonderful and you won't regret it. This was by far the best dealership that I have dealt with. I am in the military and was looking for a Pathfinder. I was very disappointed with several other dealerships from other states which were advertising one price but when contacted them the price ballooned upward for bogus advertising. They also were overbearing and had the worst customer service skills known to man. I remembered being refered by a friend who purchased a new Murano from Herb Gordon and told me how professional and straight forward they were. I must say that was an understatement. This dealership went over my expectations to say the least. The price was outstanding and the customer service was amazing. They were not pushy and allowed you to ask a lot of questions. They got me the exact Pathfinder I wanted and at the best possible price. They are by far the best car dealership I have ever dealt with, I would highly recommend them to my friends and family, and wish I would have been dealing with them from the beginning. This was my first vehicle purchase in over 10 years. I did not wish to be bothered by the usual dealership nonsense I often heard about. Therefore I handled most of my research online. After deciding on Nissan, I went on AAA’s auto buying program website to find out more about Nissan's vehicle pricing and submitted a request for an online quote. Several dealerships responded to me via phone and email. I went to the closest one with the best price. After test driving a few Altimas and Maximas I was ready to make a purchase. However, I was getting the run-around about pricing with the first dealer so I decided to email other area dealerships for their quote. Muna Chongo at Herb Gordon was the one who was kindly persistent in trying to get in touch with me, asking me to give him a chance to earn my business. After speaking with Muna about my interest in the Altima and discussing what options I wanted, I drove to Briggs Chaney to test drive a 2010 Altima. During the test drive I found Muna to be very knowledgeable about the Altima, offer more info than the other dealership’s salesman, and willing to offer me the best price in order to earn my business. In the end, Herb Gordon was able to honor the AAA quote I received and able to find the car with all of the options that I wanted. It was Muna’s straightforward approach that ultimately convinced me to purchase from Herb Gordon. Thanks to Muna, my car buying experience was very pleasant. I would highly recommend that you deal with him if you prefer the no-nonsense approach to car buying. More
