When I went back into the dealership to finish my paper work, I ended up changing my mind on the original car that I had decided on. I went into Herb Chambers Toyota of Auburn to look at a new 2013 Prius and I was in the market for a particular color which they indeed had on their lot. I had purchased my first Prius there as well. I called ahead and had an appointment, but as soon as I entered the showroom, a sales manager, Michael that secured a sale for a friend of mine two years ago recognized me and introduced me to Gus who worked in concert with Michael. After some negotiating we settled on a price. As I sat there I found that working with Gus and Michael went much more smoothly than when I purchased my first Prius four years ago. I didn't feel as though I was being raked over the coals so to speak. All in all it went well except for one small, all be it troublesome detail to me. I had requested to simply transfer my plates to the new vehicle, but instead I was issued new plates. I wasn't charged for this as it was their error. The irony of it was that at one point while negotiating a price a certain figure came up which neither salesman would write down and for the luck of the draw those figures are on my new plate. I'm not overly superstitious, but I have misgivings when driving with those plates. I can't help it, the devil made me do it....... My ratings of "good" were based mainly on the plate issue and I felt they could have bent a little bit more on the price. Bill P. More

I recently bought a brand new Toyota Tacoma pickup truck from Mouchine at Herb Chambers of Auburn. When my truck was delivered, it wasn't exactly as specified at first. The second salesman that I had the pleasure of working with was Brandon. Brandon, noting my frustration, took the time to sit down with me and write down word-for-word what I expected. He was very professional, made sure ahead of time that what I was asking was possible and followed up with me throughout the process updating me with phone calls until he was able to deliver my truck exactly the way I wanted. He even added that special touch of helping me move my things from my rental into my truck including my dog! Although at first I was admittedly upset that my truck wasn't the way I wanted it at first, based on the customer service and follow-through from Brandon, I would definitely recommend my friends and family to shop at Herb Chambers for their next vehicle purchase! They had to swap it with another dealerhship, but it arrived in a very short amount of time, and they kept me in the loop the whole time. The accessories were installed at Herb Chambers all within a reasonable time and I took delivery and could not be happier. Both agents were very forth coming with the pricing and I was very satisfied with the deal, friendliness of the employees, and follow through on the entire process. This is my 3rd vehicle I have purchased from this dealership and it will not be the last. My experiences with the service department as well have all beeen great as well. More
