(My Civic had an extended warranty for defective engine block issue: cracks were common in the '06 to '08 models I found out.)Susan was able to get Honda to waive some of the cost, allowing me to keep the car in coldest week of the winter. I am a loyal customer, with sales and regular service, but her advocacy was above and beyond the call. This type of mutual loyalty I have never experienced. Thank you, and I am a customer for life. I just want them to tell me the truth I totally understand that sometimes it is not clear at the outset how long it will take to fix a certain item on a car. What frustrates me about Herb Chambers is that once they get your car and determine that you are not in the waiting room, there is little to no communication about the completion of the work, which can go on and on and on. This is the second time I've had one of these repairs that is not part of regular service. It is also the second time that I was told the repair would take 3 hours, but 5 hours later, I had received no call from the dealership, no progress report, no finish time, nothing. And when I called to reach my 'so-called service representative, " All I got was the service switchboard, no person who had promised me a time or even recognized my name. Both times I have spoken with the service manager; both times I have been told that "they all do the best they can do. " In other words, too bad for you as the customer. If you are inconvenienced for 3 or 4 extra hours, well, too bad. This most recent time, I actually saw the so-called service rep when I had finally decided to just show up and get my car. He actually told me he had called me at the time he was supposed to, but guess what? No record of this on my phone. This is just so unprofessional. I am happy to pay for what I get and I understand that sometimes things take more time. What I do not get is WHY HERB'S CREW CANNOT JUST TELL THE TRUTH TO THE CUSTOMER. I do not think that is too much to ask.I hope NEVER to have to bring my car to them again. More

I took used car in for evaluation to see if there were any major repairs needed. I was quoted an expected wait time of 90 minutes. The whole process ended up taking over 3 and a half hours. Specifically once the inspection was done and I had paid and everything seemed all set, it took the dealership 30 minutes to get my car out of the garage and pulled out front for me to leave. Everyone was nice and apologetic but the service was much slower than expected / quoted. More
