Although this is a long review, I encourage others to read it so that they do not fall victim to the scummy tactics employed by the sales staff of this company. This Honda dealership engages in bait and switch tactics. They will lure you in with a really competitive e-price and APR, but then make you pay for a bunch of mandatory add-ons, such as tinted windows and a protective paint layer. These 2 mandatory items alone will bring your cost up by approximately $1000.00. Moreover, they install high grade floor mats and an external camera system in the car, but will charge you an additional $1200 for these add-ons if you do not request them to take them off the invoice. Bear in mind that these are installed in EVERY car, and are NOT included in the initial cost that the customer receives. The Honda finance department continued the inscrutable and slimy approach to my transaction. Even from the beginning, the complete process was a smoke and mirrors tactics. When I was brought out the initial paperwork to sign, the price was $4500.00 higher than it was supposed to be, despite a previous discussion with the salesman Chad Patel regarding the e-price I was given by internet director Stacey Finelli. Per my discussion and verbal agreement with the salesman, the price I was supposed to receive for “upgrading to the red car” was only supposed to be $500.00 more than the eprice. After I pointed this out, and a correction was made to the document, I asked to take a picture of the price that and was told that I wasn’t allowed, as if it makes sense that I shouldn't have all the information available about my own purchase. Next, I was taken to a different room to finish signing papers. The finance manager Matt Auers told me my monthly payment amount, but refused to show me an itemization of how he arrived to my total monthly payment, despite 2 requests. He then proceeded to repeatedly ask if I wanted a warranty on the car. After 5 times of saying no, he asked me what price the warranty would need to “make sense.” We agreed on $9/ month extra, and he proceeded to mess with other numbers on the financials in order to make the monthly payment what we had initially agreed to. I have no clue what numbers he adjusted, but, even though he made my monthly payment only $9 more as requested, I still ended up paying the full $15/month warranty cost (total of $1245). Remember, I was NEVER shown an itemization of how he arrived at those numbers. When the paperwork was all signed and finished, he promptly put it in an envelope and started to tell stories to distract me from looking over the invoice I had just signed, almost as if he wanted me to leave before I realized I had been played. Upon review, the base price of the car was several hundred dollars more than my e-price, the floor mats were $600, the tinted windows were $500, the wax coating, listed as paint and finish was $500 (bear in mind a can of the same wax costs $5), the camera was $500, the warranty was $650 more than we had discussed, and the dealer fee was $689. When it was all said and done, I ended up paying over $3000.00 more than I had intended for my car, with much of that price coming from add-ons that I neither needed nor wanted and that I would have had removed if I had ever seen an itemized cost list before purchasing the car. Needless to say, I will be telling all of my friends and family about my experience at Hennessey Honda, and will advise them not to shop there. Thank you for reading my review. I hope I was able to save you time and headaches from avoiding shopping at this business that seems to delight in duping its own customers. I love Hondas, and encourage people to buy them elsewhere. If your not prepared to pay $3000 more than the listed internet price then don’t waste your time. I seen a 2021 Honda Accord Sport online listed for $26287 that I was interested in. Ironically when I get internet price then don’t waste your time. I seen a 2021 Honda Accord Sport online listed for $26287 that I was interested in. Ironically when I get there it’s now a $30000 car. Typical bait and switch. I agreed to trade my Nissan Maxima in and for the final price to be $23000. Since they figured I was paying cash they could press me for $23050.Smh...sick and tired of being taken advantage of so I walked out. I wouldn’t recommend this dealership due to deceptive sales tactic. My recommendation is don’t trust the internet price and don’t let them update you on additional warranties that you don’t need. In addition ask for an itemized break down of unnecessary document fees.. More
