Although I had purchased three vehicles’ in the past 18 months at this dealership, when I received a call from Mansur it was greeted with great skepticism. He had called on Thursday offering to take my 2010 CR-V in for a trade on a 2012 at the same payment. I was so doubtful that I called first thing Saturday to cancel my appointment but he reassured me it could be done. I arrived at the agreed time and Mansur was there to greet us, which was a plus because you usually have to wait around. He was very businesslike but also very friendly at the same time. The entire took less than one hour, which is unheard of, plus it was totally painless. I attribute it totally to our salesman. More

We have a new 2012 Honda Odyssey which was purchased in December from another dealer. Just recently we discovered issues with the seal on the drivers door causing a lot of wind noise. The DVD player also December from another dealer. Just recently we discovered issues with the seal on the drivers door causing a lot of wind noise. The DVD player also wasn't working. It would immediately eject any disc that was inserted into it. Honda also had a recall on the DVD player as it would not remember the last position of a disc. I made an appointment at the dealership for the three items. The first issue I had is that they did not tell me they didn't have the update disc for the recall letter I informed them about when I made the appointment. So, after bringing the car in on 21-January they were unable to fix anything. I am somewhat forgiving and was willing to bring the car in a second time as they had to order a door seal and were still waiting on the DVD. The part of the experience that is unacceptable to me is that apparently Honda will not allow the dealer to pre-order a replacement DVD player. So, now I will almost be guarantted to bring the car in for a 3rd time when they attempt to load the update DVD and the drive spits it back out. If it was just me and my wife using the car it woudn't be bad, but having two children it's quite an ordeal to move the car seats, etc... When speaking with Allan he also mentioned that they wouldn't keep it over night or give me a rental I would have to bring it in a 3rd time. This type of customer service is very unexpected and not what I thought I was getting when I purchased a Honda. Honday should change their policies and I would expect that the dealer also has some leverage in ordering the part before hand. It can't cost much for them to pre-order the part especially when compared to the value of customer service and the cost of a lost customer. -Ian Wesley More
Had not purchased a new car in over 25 years and this was the prime example of why people despise the experience of a new car purchase. Went to Holman Honda and saw a 2011 CR-Z that I wanted to purchase but the salesman at that dealer did not want to negotiate, so with the referral, I ended up at Hendrick Honda Pompano Beach, by calling first and set appointment with the Sales Manager, who was off the day the appointment was set for. The receptionist set me up with someone else and explained what I wanted. He came back telling me the only CR-Z available was in North Carolina and not with the options I wanted. Explained to him that I drove one the night before at Holman Honda and he said he would see about getting it transferred. Long story short, we negotiated a price and after a couple hours they came back with the papers saying they could not honor the price and offered to split the difference, minimal amount and agreed. Now this is where I get upset and should have walked out but… the Finance Manager, Ned Brown made me wait almost three hours before he could do the finance paperwork and basically by that time I felt like I was in a police interrogation room and wanted to get out of there so give me the papers to sign. Signed the finance contract that said the financing was going to American Honda Finance. The following day, speaking to my insurance agent, they could beat the interest rate by a full point on the financing, but would have to wait a week for American Honda Finance to get my paperwork. The week went by and calling American Honda Finance they said they had no record of my contract. Calling Hendrick Honda Pompano Beach I was told that my contract had been sold to Suntrust Bank and not American Honda Finance as stated on my signed contract. Speaking to an attorney, I was told they violated the contract. They were all of a sudden able to drop the rate a full three percentage points if I kept the contract with Suntrust Bank. Needless to say I stayed with the Suntrust Bank. A few weeks later in October of 2011 I got a book in the mail with 60 payment slips and one envelope! The following week I received another envelope from Suntrust with 59 more envelopes in it! I pay electronically but have no way of monitoring the account. One last thing my girlfriend was also in the market for a new car and ended up purchasing a Hyundai from another dealership. She received a follow up call from the saleman two days after purchasing the car. Also she received a thank you note from the salesman as well as another from the dealership and then another from Hyundai! The only thing I have received from this dealer is an email to rate the salesperson on this site and not one other acknowledgement or thank you. Love the car, but would never buy another vehicle from anyone at this dealership again! More

He explained the advantages of leasing and informing about the increased mileage this year. He had the car that wanted waiting out front when I arrived. We went for a test drive and he showed the new USB connection. He facilitated the paperwork and researched whether or not I had a maintenance agreement last year (which I did, but had already expired.) David transferred my license to the new car and helped with cleaning out the old one. Ronnie, in finance, was efficient,personable and professional and made paying for this lease painless, explaining the charges and tlelling me when the first payment is due.
