I was attracted to Hammonasset Ford by a truck in tremendous condition and strong reviews of the dealership itself. In my dealings with the Hammonasset, the environment and relationship seemed to be tremendous condition and strong reviews of the dealership itself. In my dealings with the Hammonasset, the environment and relationship seemed to be high quality. The truck was as advertised. I ran into issues however with the sticker cost versus the total cost. While I felt my Sales Consultant James Filley was honest, a blinding sense of excitement befell me. I would caution any potential buyer to take it slow and ask for a complete breakdown of all costs before placing a security deposit or committing to buy. The sticker prices are attractive, but the total cost may not be. The truck itself was as described, however I failed to notice it was missing a spare tire. Mechanically, structurally, and cosmetically, it scored well or above average marks. Again, take it slow, look it over. Be sure to ask for the vehicle's service records. I was told the oil had been very recently changed. A review by my trusted mechanic days after purchase found this to not be the case. They turn it around for pickup in a day, and understandably the interior detail felt a bit rushed. I understand. Everything else checked out and I felt I could trust James. Since delivery he has persisted to check in and make sure it's going well. I very much appreciate this. Overall, I would say my buying experience was clouded by impulse and urge any purchaser, especially on used, high-abuse trucks to carefully and calmly review all the signs and claims put before them. However, it was not all bad. I greatly enjoy the truck and it continues to serve me well. I have put on over 4k miles in 3 months, and I've loved every minute of it. More
