A lot of my shipmates find them selves going to back woods auto salesmen thinking they are going to get a deal for some reason and in the end find themselves getting screwed over. Going to a bigger dealership I knew this wasn't going to be the same situation, but having been to many dealerships before it was a pleasure to work with Hall's friendly car salesmen in getting me into the car I wanted at a reasonable price. Then they exceeded expectations and registered the vehicle to me, got my plates issued and tagged, and even installed them for me while we finished the buying process. They even ensured that I updated my insurance for my new vehicle before I left the lot. Everything was above and beyond my expectations and I'm very glad to have had the pleasure to work with Hall Mazda, and look forward to dealing with them in the future. More
Salesman was very friendly. He greeted me as I was looking at a car & instead of the standard "Canihelpu?" This shows to me that he has a genuine interest in each individual instead of just going through the motions of trying to sell. He also mentioned that he'd been in the Navy (to find a common ground-as I'm in the Navy too). He suggested a test drive and best of all he helped me turn in my rental car & then rode back with me to Va. Beach (the car had been rented in Norfolk). I give this dealership/salesman my STRONGEST possible recommendation. The salesman gave me a mug w/ his name on it & I saw where he was in the million dollar club. I'm not surprised!!!! More
I first went to Hall Mazda in March 09 looking at an 09 speed 3 and loved the vehicle but was unable to purchase at the time. I had since been to other dealerships test driving similar vehicles of all dif speed 3 and loved the vehicle but was unable to purchase at the time. I had since been to other dealerships test driving similar vehicles of all different makes. the service and experience of Hall Mazda is second to none. I went back at the end of July and Purchased a 2010 Mazda 3 (manual). the same courtious service every time. the deal went very well. Thanks to Derrick and his team all questions were answered with the utmost profesionalism. Everything was explained at my level not obove or below. I would buy again from them. Keep up the Good work! I came in to look at the CX-7 in hopes of buying an SUV. I was so tired of dealing with unprofessional and obnoxious salesmen that I wasnt very hopeful for this experience either. Dave was completely easy going, let me drive both the CX-7 and the CX-9 in order to compare and make a decision. After coming in not thinking I was quite ready to buy, I left that evening knowing I would be back on Monday to buy the car. We came back in Monday to a great buying experience with Dave and Zack. They no longer had any CX-7's on the lot and they were quick to get to work on finding me one in my price range and of a color I liked. After going toe-to-toe with a reluctant dealer in Petersburg, they got my car for me!!! With a painless trade-in process and a pleasant paper signing experience, I took my new SUV home on Wednesday! I would definitely buy another car from this dealer. We laughed and joked and kept the whole transaction very light which I completely appreciate. More
I was referred to the dealership through I a program I am apart of. I arrived and was greeted right away by the sales manager, who introduced me to Dave. I have purchased numerous cars from several different dealerships over the years although this was my first "new car" buying experience. I did not look forward to buying a new car because I didn't feel t dealerships over the years although this was my first "new car" buying experience. I did not look forward to buying a new car because I didn't feel that I could negotiate a fair deal and walk away with the car and the terms that I really wanted. I only considered buying new because my wife insisted. We chose Hall because they offer a wide variety of cars and their dealership is in our neighborhood. I have to admit that, after all is said and done, my wife and I are both satisfied and impressed with the car, the terms, and especially the service that we received throughout the car buying process. The staff was courteous, helpful, patient, and very thorough. I will not only recommend Hall Auto to my friends, but I will highly suggest that they visit the location on Holland Road where I shopped. I tend to be a very loyal customer with my other purchases so I can confidently say that I will be a Hall customer for a long time to come. More

Anyone who makes the trip to Hall Mazda should specifically ask to work with him. I knew what vehicle I wanted to test drive and he didn't pressure me into trying something else, nor did he bring out the highest model vehicle they had. That has happened to me before and it is quite dissapointing when the vehicle isn't at all in your price range. The entire team that helped me with the purchasing and financing of my vehicle at Hall Mazda was fantastic. More

I have very mixed emotions about my buying experience from Hall Mazda. I saw the car I wanted advertised for a very reasonable price, and I had a leased vehicle I needed to get out of because there was from Hall Mazda. I saw the car I wanted advertised for a very reasonable price, and I had a leased vehicle I needed to get out of because there was no point in continuing to pay for a car I would never own. The part that makes me angriest about the whole deal, really, is the fact that the advertised price is a crock! The ad on the internet clearly states that the price of the car was 2300 dollars off the MSRP. Once I got there, they sternly refused to offer me anything but the 1000 dollar Mazda rebate. And they would not budge an inch on the price, even though I protested. They did not even tell me that I was eligible for S-Plan pricing, which unfortunately I found out after the fact. Because I was going in a few thousand upside-down with the trade-in, I didn't have a lot of bargaining leverage with the price. Unfortunately I had to yield, but it is frustrating because I went there specifically due to the advertised price. Zack then told me that since I couldn't put more down he would have to increase the trade-in value of my leased car to make up for it. He said "look, I just gave you 700 dollars to make this deal work." In reality, the final amount they offered was still over 1000 dollars less than what Carmax would have given me, but for some reason Carmax could not get the information they needed to pay off the lease, so I was forced to use a dealership to get rid of the car. I was not "given" anything... I was just "taken" for less. But I accepted this trade-in amount because I knew by signing that lease 2 years ago, I had brought this upon myself. They also tried to stick me with an interest rate that was over 2% higher than what my credit union offers. I called BS on that, and less than 5 minutes later I had a new offer printed up with the lower rates. I love cars, but this is why I hate the process of buying them. You have to fight against the sales personnel on every single aspect, and negotiate every single detail, or they will screw you any way they can! And any detail you miss can potentially cost you thousands of dollars. It is unbelievably stressful. More
