From the owner on down I was treated with respect even through negotiations for the new vehicle to include cost of accessories. I was using the internet to find a new car with the best deal I could find. Capital Buick GMC in Richmond,Virginia had the car we were looking for with the options and price the best I had found. I proceeded to reply to them on their internet sight to find out if the Buick we liked was still available. Daniel Wilson was the Sales Consultant who responded to my inquiry. He advised me that the car was still available and asked me if I would like to meet with him the next day. I confirmed I would and my wife and I drove to Richmond for the appointment at 3:30 pm. We live about 2 hours away in Stuarts Draft,Virginia. When we arrived at the dealership Daniel was waiting for us. He showed us the car of interest and we took a test drive. It was definitely to our liking, but I had thought it had a Navigation System which it did, but it was through OnStar. We were still going to buy it because it was to our liking anyway. We discussed if the dealership had any other used models with the in car navigation and the only one they had was a new 2011 model. He was more than happy to run the numbers for the used vehicle along with lease verses buy on the new Buick. I do my homework so once the numbers were presented I proceeded to negotiate the terms. Daniel even helped by letting me use his computer to analyze the deal through some online sights I use. He was very complimentary of my financial skills and once I determined an offer he took it to the Sales Manager for approval. It only took a couple times going back and forth and the Sales Manager, Kevin Silver, came to Daniel's desk where we were and we both come to an agreement on the price and terms. They even found me a lower rate of interest than I expected. I commend them on being very up front, honest and not even attempting to say anything negative. We made the deal on the new car purchase,signed all relevent papers and due to being late in the day, we determined it would be best to come back the next day for delivery giving them time to take care of cleaning, detailing, waxing changing the oil even though it only had a few miles on it. One reason for this was the dealership owners wife had been driving it. Daniel was once again waiting for us the next day at 4:00 pm which is the time we determined best for us. He had the car on the showroom floor so we didn't have to go into the cold for him to show us all the features and operation. Lastly before departing we met Mike Rowe the Service Advisor who we will be working with when we get the car serviced. All in all I have bought many cars over my 63 years and this fellow has to top my list as an outstanding sales assoicate. I like the guy so much I'm going to make an effort to keep in touch with him just as a friend. Everyone at the dealership were very friendly and made you feel welcome and important. One other person we worked with on the warranty and GM Mark of Excellence features was Tracy Kahn. Basically we only worked with three associates, but we spent 95% of our time with Daniel. If there is any opportunity for Daniel to be promoted in the dealership he is definitely the the type person who can make people feel comfortable and boost sales. I am now retired and had been in management roles for over 40 years so I feel I know good people. More
Mr. Dunn was very friendly, knowledgeable about the truck we purchased, answered all of our questions, explained financing, warranties. I first saw a picture of the 2010 LaCrosse in a magazine in early 2010. The interior caught my eye so I decided to go see the car at Capital Buick GMC. I met Gary Dunn upon my arrival and we hit it off immediately. Gary's knowledge of the vehicle and his professional manner was quite comforting. I told him I was familiar with the Buick website so we "built" the car I wanted together in his office. We ordered the LaCrosse, and Gary kept me updated on the production progress. The entire experience with Gary was very smooth and I have recommended him to my colleagues throughout the past year.
