Key takeaway: Haldeman Ford knowingly sold a car with broken A/C to a pregnant woman. They lied, sent me on a wild goose chase and ultimately said "not our problem" to a downright dangerous vehicle. (do broken A/C to a pregnant woman. They lied, sent me on a wild goose chase and ultimately said "not our problem" to a downright dangerous vehicle. (do we really need to debate if 120º interior temp is dangerous?) I purchased a used vehicle from Haldeman Ford in December. They were very excited to tell me how they went though the vehicle with a fine-toothed comb, fixed all and any issues. In fact, they spent over $3000 on repairs in-house that I wouldn’t have to pay for. I bought it because I can walk there and wanted a good relationship with a local dealer. I had the car for a few days and noticed a handful of issues: Power steering was grinding, check engine light came and went, fuses for random things had blown and most importantly- the A/C was not working. I called and talked to them and got a great response: “We don’t sell cars with issues, we stand by what we sell, we’ll take care of you, no problems- just don’t leave a bad review” I dropped it off, they replaced fuses, topped off my power steering and told me that they didn’t have the computer to check out what was wrong with the air conditioning. I was told if I went to GM (used vehicle was a GMC) and got the information needed, they’d correct the issue. I did exactly that- went to GM, talked to them about what diagnostic systems they use and came up with multiple solutions for Haldeman. I went back to Haldeman with the information and was sent on a wild goose chase. The service manage couldn’t help me, I needed to talk to Butch. Talked to Butch, he said I needed to talk to Mike. Talked to Mike, he said I need to talk to George. Got ahold of George, George said I need to talk to Walter. Walter said I need to talk to Greg, Greg said I need to talk to Mike. Mike sent me back to Gary, Gary never called, but Kevin did. Kevin said to talk to Greg. Greg sent me back to Zack. See the pattern here? This took over two MONTHS. Everyone passed the buck to the next guy hoping I would go away. I finally got ahold of Greg, the general manager. I was told explicitly: “If Zack (service manager) said he would fix it, we will fix it. I stand by what my guys say” Well, finally talked to Zack and he said he never said he would fix my vehicle. Now it’s a matter of he-said, she-said. Why would I have done all the work on my end to talk to GM and call you 30+ times following up if you didn't promise me you'd fix it? When a dealership services a new or used vehicle, there is a basic list of things you would expect to be checked- oil, a/c, lights, horn, heat, wipers, etc. Because this was sold in the middle of the winter and you can’t turn on the A/C when it’s under 55º outside, they left the A/C broken- knowing I couldn’t test it. They KNEW this vehicle was for my pregnant wife and our growing family. They know that fixing the A/C is a recharge and maybe a sensor. They don’t care. A car without A/C is not inconvenient- it’s downright DANGEROUS. Over 120º on a normal warm day- maybe not dangerous to everyone- but ask a pregnant lady if they feel like they might pass out in that heat. Answer is a resounding "yes". Haldeman Ford sells vehicles they know are broken- they sell them to pregnant women and they don’t stand by their word. I’d rather buy a used car from anywhere else locally than deal with them. More

Had an issue with my new truck, Zack had the team evaluate it immediately. A part needed replacement, which took over a month to get from Ford. Haldeman provided a loaner car which was a big help. evaluate it immediately. A part needed replacement, which took over a month to get from Ford. Haldeman provided a loaner car which was a big help. When the part came in, they installed it the same day and returned the car the following day after fully checking it out. Would recommend their service. More

Julio and the service crew have kept my '08 Edge running great. The engine and water pump had big issues during Covid, including parts and supply chain shortages, but they helped me through it all. The Haldeman Ford group, and Rich P. in particular, helped us recently with a truck purchase. It was time to turn in our 12 year old Escape but we had a budget for something new in the l in particular, helped us recently with a truck purchase. It was time to turn in our 12 year old Escape but we had a budget for something new in the low $30k range. Rich helped us to test drive a few different options from both Ford and Subaru as well, and in the end we settled on a lightly used 2020 Explorer XLT - so got more space while still staying exactly in our price range! The team was great and never pushed any crazy offers on us, didnt try to up-sell, and just had really helpful feedback on the different models and what worked best for our lifestyle. They made the whole process super easy and non-stressful!! :) More
