Mr. Eyler, We at Hagerstown Ford greatly apologize for any inconvenience and displeasure that you have endured during your dealings with Hagerstown Ford. Obviously it is in no way our intent to take advantage of anyone, as that has no positive outcome for either party, ever. Being in an extremely important customer service business, where word of mouth is very, very important, never would we intentionally attempt to be "shady," as you put it, or dishonest. Could you imagine, the 99% of outstanding reviews here on Dealer Rater, would then be ALL negative. Here's what we know...All stories have two sides. This is ours respectfully. You factory ordered a vehicle that only took six weeks to deliver to you, where the average wait time on factory orders is eight plus weeks. After weeks of deliberation via emails and phone calls, a very, very nice deal was agreed upon. You drove past several Ford Stores to take delivery from Hagerstown Ford. When you did get to the dealership you signed off on the agreed paperwork, but once in Finance, according to you, the price was $20 (Twenty) off, (due to tag fees) and you walked out of Finance. You came up front and mentioned that you were ready to back out because the dealership was dishonest. We then switched you to another Finance person, as you now were distrusting of the original Finance Manager. Once the paperwork was finished you left in your new vehicle, seemingly happy and needing only your trade documents and additional rebate proof owed to Hagerstown Ford. Several days later, you began contacting the Dealership for an additional $500, for an "overcharge," based on the original agreement. Despite the lack of documentation, the dealership cut you a check immediately, and simply waited until you provided your trade and rebate documents as per promised on the delivery documents that you signed. When you finally brought the documents owed to the dealership over one month later, not only was the $500 check handed to you, but also was a much much smaller check handed to you for a slight overage on the tag fees. In closing… We were more than accommodating to you and we strive to treat you, and every customer with the utmost respect. But, sometimes, the relationship just doesn’t work. We talked about your situation several times as a management team because we were troubled by how it seemed we couldn’t get it right no matter what we did. At the end of the day… we realized we treated you with the same exact intentions that we treat a few hundred other customers each month… which 98.8 percent seem to be completely satisfied with their entire experience. We are only human and sometimes we make mistakes… but we are quick to claim those mistakes and fix them – as we did with you. I also know you shopped our price with many other Ford Stores closer to Baltimore, where you live and we obviously gave you the best price. So… to say “don’t waste your time” to other potential customers via social media is very disheartening and unfortunate. We wish you the best, never-the-less.

Thank you for taking the time piece together my history with Hagerstown Ford. There were a few differences in your documentation and I think this is where the problem is. The customer states one thing and you guys hear and perceive what works for you. As I stated in my review the finance associate continually added different dollar figures to the deal that I spent nearly an hour deflecting the additional costs with an overage of $200 not $20. In regards to the additional $500 it was due to an overage that I did not catch due to three different pricing documents your team was using. Either way it was over what was agreed and signed on when I placed the order. Which goes back to the complaint of how the finance associates attempted to jack the price up by any means necessary and did end up charging more that what was signed and agreed on initially. I still stand by my review that I would have went to another dealer considering the amount of headaches I endured through the process and if I had not caught the numerous additional fees your team was attempting to add I would have endured additional costs.
